I’ve had my iPhone for a week now, and I can safely say I will never go back to an Android phone. For those who have had a good experience with Android phones, you are so lucky lol. Anyway, I have noticed the App store is also different somewhat from the Android one, and I have already discovered some apps I’m addicted to lol.
I know there has to be some iPhone users out here, so what apps do you really like or are addicted to?
Here are a few things that I have downloaded so far:
Words with Friends -I had the free version on my Android phone, but the video ads really took a toll on the battery life. Since I knew I already loved the game, I went ahead and bought the ad free version since it was on sale. I absolutely love this game. I have quite a free games going with some of my Facebook friends, and now I know how one of them is cheating on the game while I am playing it honestly. There’s another app that can be downloaded for free that can “scan” the board after you take a picture of it and show you different word possibilities. My boyfriend, who also has an iPhone, downloaded it so he could even out the playing field against our mutual friend, and the app really does work! Our friend has no idea that he’s downloaded it. Payback lol.
Angry Birds -It would never work correctly on my Android phone, so I jumped at the chance to have it on my iPhone lol. After I beat the free version, I went ahead and bought the full version of the original Angry Birds. I play the Rio one on my Android, but I didn't’t like it as well. My least favorite bird in the game is the white one that drops the eggs. I hate having to use it. I like the yellow ones and the exploding black ones.
Instagram -I'm surprised not more of my fb friends have this app. I love taking pictures, and this is kinda like a social networking site for that, and it provides unique filters. The pictures can also be shared through email, Facebook, Twitter, etc. Here's a few pics I've taken with the cool filters it has.
My lazy man cat, Doobie lol.
My boyfriend's cat, Foxy.
This was a pic I've taken and edited of a souvenir from the Titanic museum. I had it in a frame, and I took a pic of it with my phone.
The look I wore last Saturday with the UD Anniversary palette lol.
One of the best palettes, ever lol.
I also have the apps for Facebook, Twitter, wallpapers, and the Talking Pierre bird to bug the animals with lol. Please say I'm not the only one addicted to a cell phone? lol

I also love my iPhone and all the fun apps. The first one I downloaded (of course) was our Sephora app. I love adding product to my shopping list so when I go to the store I know exactly what I want to check out. I also have the Fandango app, so I can check movies and times if I randomly decide to see one. I also like Mapquest,Traffic.com, sudoku, emoji (it only works when texting someone with an iPhone but there are some cute pictures), Sally's Spa (fun game), yellow pages, and Hanimals (another fun game).
@Sara That palmreader app is so fun! Though it believes I am demanding of others, which I hope isn't true. It also says I have innate musical talent which is definitely untrue. lol

I have been on team Blackberry for years, but after the screen on my Bold died the other day, my mother was kind enough to buy herself the iPhone 4s and give me her old iPhone 3Gs, so that way when the iPhone 5 comes out, I can use my upgrade to get it then
. This phone is so freaking cool!! I have already put the facebook, twitter, pandora, sephora, angry birds and doodle jump apps on the phone! I'm sure I will continue to get more over time.
My only issue with this iPhone thus far is texting. I have had a QWERTY keypad for SO long, and doing touch screen makes me feel like I have fat fingers .... I am typing with only one finger right now haha! This passes eventually right?
Congrats on the new phone! I really don't know anyone who doesn't love their iPhone!

I've been team iPhone since 2008 with no intentions of ever leaving! I currently have the 3G, so I'm very overdue for the most recent model. The apps on iPhones are phenomenal Angry Birds, Instagram, and Words with Friends should all just come with every iPhone in my opinion
. I'm especially addicted to Instagram, I love the vintage quality that the different filters provide.
Some of my favorite apps are: Mega Jump, Fruit Ninja, Pandora, All Recipes (I've made so many delicious dishes thanks to this app), and ToDo's (this is just a checklist...but it comes in handy when you're running errands).
The cats are so cute and I love that shot of the Naked Palette!

Awesome pics Kimmi! Such pretty kitties
I will have to download that app!
I made the switch to iphone last year and am so happy I did. Everything out there is designed for the iphone and it has made my life easier in so many ways and also is just plain fun ![]()
I am also obsessed with Words With Friends and a similar game called Scramble With Friends.
Some of my other favorites include:
- SoundHound - this app will listen to a song playing and will tell you the song name and the artist. It will also give you a link to the youtube video, itunes, and other info. This app is a lot of fun on long drives - my boyfriend and I turn it into a game by trying to guess the year a song came out - especially when we hear older songs from when we were younger. We turn it into a friendly competition!
- Pandora & iheartradio
- Open Table - SOO convenient to help you make lunch/dinner reservations on the go! Plus you get points towards dining checks when booking through them!
- Tiny Tower - a silly little free game where you build your own tower and look for tenets and employees in your shop. There are a ton of silly little games out there and I find them amusing!
- And of course, I love the Sephora app! You are able to pull up your shopping list on the app while you are in the store so you don't forget to check something out that you have been eyeing up online! Super convenient!
I also love that my bank, credit card, and other companies where I have bills all have apps that I can check my account or pay my bill on the go!

Thank you for sharing that Kimmi!
I've been really bored with my phone lately and had issues with it shutting off (android phone of course) and I was VERY tempted to purchase an iPhone but didn't want one for the fact I feel EVERYONE has one. But I've tried out how much easier it is to type on the phone as well as the HUGE availability of apps available and I'm getting pretty strongly convinced!

Yay! Congrats on your upgrade -- I finally made the switch from my beloved Blackberry, and I don't know how I ever lived without it! I'm definitely an Apple devotee, though; I have yet to have a problem with my iPhone (miraculously -- despite dropping it in a full sink of water!), and in the four or so years I have had MacBooks and Mac computers at work, they have been virtually issue free.
My favorite / most used apps are:
News sites -- I have my French news sources (LeMonde.fr, Le Parisien, LExpress.fr, etc. -- must keep it current!), CNN and my home (Pittsburgh) news
...and there's also Gossip Junkie, where I can read D-Listed (my beloved gossip blog -- I love the way this person writes) among others. My guilty pleasure
Travel apps -- I always check fares on United, Southwest, Air France, etc. to see if there is anything good
Steelers (if I'm not watching the game, I'm refreshing this app nervously and reading the live feed); SteelerNation (where I can find the nearest Steelers bar anywhere in the country, haha), Pittsburgh Penguins
Photo apps -- I have Instagram, Hipstamatic and Camera+ -- they're really fun (and addictive)
Ebay -- where I can stalk auctions I'm monitoring and selling
Shazam -- IDs songs playing in public / wherever so you can download them (or just be able to ID something that's driving you crazy).

If you want my honest opinion, I just went from an iPhone to an LG Thrill 4G. It's honestly a lot faster than my iPhone was.
Of course, this is also what my iPhone did on a regular basis:
-In the first 6 months of having it, the actual phone itself started cracking from where the volume button on the side was. You can't- swap it out for a replacement with AT&T, you have to make an appt at the Genius Bar inside an Apple Retail Store to get it looked at.
-not even one year later: not showing missed calls, not RINGING OR VIBRATING if there's any call or text message (especially problematic when you're interviewing for jobs. This actually caused a major miscommunication when my sister and I were separated in the mall. I didn't see her car and called my husband to pick me up; turned out she was still at the mall and looking for me.)
The nice thing about apps on Apple iPhones though are that they test the applications before they release them to consumers. Google is starting to do that for Android phones, but not that fast, sadly. One of my favorite games I can play for hours at a time on my iPhone is Bookworm. I do like the fact that the camera on this LG (always had solid, dependable things made by them) is more MP than the one on the iPhone!

@prettyinpa I think Foxy knows she's "Foxy" lol She has a prissy and sassy walk. I call her 'Little Miss Sassy Butt' lol.
@waterbaby1981 That's weird that happened to your iPhone, but it's good that you found something that works. You'd think ATT&T would try to send it off for your or something since they were the first ones to carry the iPhone.
@katie1724 I'm surprised my bf doesn't have the Steelers apps. I'll have to let him know lol. He LOVES the Steelers lol. I've not looked at Hipstamatic or Camera+ I'll have to check that out. I love playing with Instagram and viewing other photos. I don't know how many cat and makeup type photos I've liked on it lol.
@dianabt I think once you go to an iPhone, you'll never go back to an Android. Which Android phone do you currently have?
@janinebt You have given me an idea. I never thought to look up recipe apps to see if there are some Gluten Free ones. I'll have to do that. Thank you!
@jxw200 I have thought about downloading pocket frogs. I saw my bf's cousin playing it on an iPad and it looks interesting. I didn't know Starbucks was doing free apps! I need to download their app and put my giftcard on it. Love me some coffee lol.

@Kimmi I have an HTC Incredible 2 I love my apps I do have (shazam for music, twitter, linked in, 49ers & NFL updates, lightbox photos, yelp, dictionaries etc) but the keyboard is SO killing me sometimes!
When my contract expires or I'm eligible for an upgrade I think I just may have to get an iPhone... the range of apps available is OUTRAGEOUS and I'm sure I could find so many more than what I have access to now. As long as I can keep my amazing Verizon service (I NEVER have dropped calls!) I'll be thrilled.

@dianabt I've not played around with the HTC phones. Anytime I go in Verizon, I'm usually playing around with the iPads or iPhones lol. I'm with Verizon as well, and they're usually pretty good with the upgrades and whatnot. I was due for a full upgrade, and with that I got the 8 GB iPhone 4. I didnt' want the 4S because some people I've talked to said they didn't like it as much as the 4 and the battery didn't last as long since it has to run Siri and all that. The 8 GB is the smallest size they have, which works well for me. If you're going to put your entire music library on it, you'll want to get a bigger size. I still have my iPod Nano that I got during my Sophomore year of high school. It still works well, so I didn't see a need for a phone to double as a music player.
Also, if you were "grandfathered in" when the data plans changed, you'll still have the data plan you currently have. However, don't sell your HTC phone. Hold on to it as a backup just in case something were to happen to the possible iPhone and it had to be sent off. The representive told me that if my iPhone was sent off and they gave me a basic phone to use, I would lose the unlimited "grandfathered in" data plan.

I have downloaded an app to take some weight of my key ring: The Key Ring app lol. With it, I can have loyalty and reward membership cards on my phone so I no longer have to dig out my keys or dig through my wallet. I simply scan the barcode on the car, search for the store, give it a title, and tada. The company in charge of the app has also teamed up with some companies to give various offers. My purse will now be lighter lol.
I've also downloaded new photo apps to play with since I take pictures everyday, especially of my cat lol. I've added PhotoTangler, Labelbox, Frametastic, and Pixlromatic.

Love your animal photos!

Hi Kimmi1115,
Ahhh I just got the iphone too and absolutely love it! I had a Blackberry before, and will never go back.
Of course I had to get the Sephora app. And what I am loving right now is, the palm reader app. Its so cool you have to check it out.
XOXO,
