Hello there, ladies and gents!   Keeping in line with all the fun and interactive threads asking about your most recent halls, items you have your eyes on, what you're currently wearing, what's your hair routine, and more, I've decide to branch out and ask:   "What's on your plate?"   The beauty world doesn't just stop at skin care and cosmetics, it also goes hand in hand with your overall health and well-being, so with that, I'm curious to see what we're all chowing down and snacking on be it for breakfast, lunch, dinner, dessert, or inbetween!   For those with apps that help count calories or to those who just want to keep a log, here's a place to share, possibly find and share some recipes, and even tips on maintaining a balanced diet.   Don't just share food items, but even drinks! I'm a huge fan of tea and at least have a cup of green tea a day (anti-oxidants) and drink plenty of water.   For lunch today, I had:   -Brown rice -Steamed egg -Steamed red snapper with green onion, sesame oil, and black pepper -Gai lan (it's a type of Chinese vegetable/greens)   Now, tell me, Beauty Talk world, what do you have?

A while back I had made a look using the colors of the stray cat that took shelter in my home, I've fed and given her water ever since. This is the second time she's had kittens, unfortunately the last litter didn't survive and from what I know she only had two this time but only one has made it to the barely opening eyes stage. She had them on July 1st. I haven't named the kitty yet, but here's a picture of his(I'm thinking it's a he) cuteness.  Taken today.    It's been 2 months and 7 days since little neko was born. Here is his updated picture, he posed for it. He posed a lot.
Hi Everyone,    I just wanted to check in and wish everyone a happy holidays but also to please, please, please take care of yourself and stay healthy! I wasnt going to post about this because BT is such a positive place but I felt it was important to put this out there.    My oldest sister was diagnosed with Stage 4 colon cancer last year at just 38 years old. This is a cancer that is supposedly for "older" people meaning you do not get screened for it until after the age of 50 because its not likely for a person to be diagnosed with it before that age. If you ever feel a pain in your body or just feel like something is not right...please go to a doctor and get checked and also let them know your family's medical history. It can save your life!! My sister's cancer was so advanced that there was no way to save her. Her treatments were just to try and keep the cancer from spreading in order to give her some more time with us. Unfortunately, her time ran out last week at the VERY young age of 40 and leaves behind my niece and nephew who are only in high school.    Even if you do not have any symptoms but you have a family history of an illness, please get regular screenings. Some cancers, like colon cancer, do not show any symptoms until its too late. I will now have to get screened for colon cancer every year for the rest of my life because the probability is higher for me since a direct relative had it. I'm sure we all know, if you can catch it early, you'll give yourself the best chance of beating it.    I apologize for such a long post and the sad nature of this post as well. But I truly want everyone to stay as healthy as possible for your own sake and also the sake of your family. You guys are the best and I'll be back on BT soon.
Beautylish Lucky Bags are back!  I missed out last year but saw some great bags.  Same deal, $75 for $150 worth of product.  US shipping only.  And the temptation of extra lucky gifts for a few fortunate buyers.  I went with Natural.   This year there are 3 choices,    BOLD The Bold Lucky Bag is for anyone who likes to stand out in a crowd, wear bright colors and express their creative spirit through makeup. If Lady Gaga were a Lucky Bag, she would be this one!   NATURAL The Natural Lucky Bag is for the person who loves products but leans toward a more neutral palette. If perfect dewey skin and a flushed cheek is your look, the Natural is for you.   MUA The MUA bag is for the serious makeup artist who wants great additions for their kit. It is for someone with professional needs—multiple foundation shades, kit tools and staples.

hey ladies, have you heard about this super awesome program by Dior. i think more companies should have this kind of reward system for their loyal customers (hello Chanel and YSL, I'm looking at you).     What is the Dior Diva program? Every dollar spent on a Dior Beauty product equals 1 Diva Point. Once you reach the desired point level you send your original receipts and the redemption form in to the address provided on the form. Note: sales tax isn’t included towards points and all points sent in must be within a 12 month period. Currently there are five levels to the program. (When it first started there were only three levels!):   ■Adorable Diva (100 points) – you’ll receive deluxe travel sizes of Dior best sellers in a mini Dior shopping bag.   ■Fashionista Diva (250 points) – you’ll receive the Little Dictionary of Fashion written by Christian Dior plus three deluxe minis for your handbag.   ■Charming Diva (500 points) – you’ll receive a Dior charm bracelet packaged in a Dior couture box plus a deluxe Miss Dior Cherie miniature.   ■Divine Divas (1000 points) – you’ll receive a couture inspired black makeup pouch finished with a little shimmer and shine and full sizes of Serum de Rouge in Rosewood Serum, Diorshow Browstyler, Diorshow Extase Mascara and a travel size One Essential.   ■Lady Diva (2500 points) – you’ll receive a Dior Brush Set complete with Foundation, Blush, Eyeshadow, Brow and Lip brushes nestled in a black D-charm pouch and packaged in a Dior couture box. So I'd like to maintain a board for the Canadian customers.  A place where we can share our events, promos, problems etc.   I sometimes see deals and info for Canadians and rather then posting a new convo all the time maybe we can just share on this board.   I think it would be easier to communicate with each other if we only had one board to follow.    - I recently posted that Nail Polish Canada has free shipping on any orders for a limited time.   EDITED:   Anyone interested in getting Tonymoly products you can contact them via their Canadian Facebook page to place an order.  5$ shipping, free over purchases 50$.  I think they have a store in Pacific Mall in Markham ON   Tarte now ships to Canada!

Alright. I know December we're trying our best to be happy, be merry, etc. BUT, you know there's a few bad apples that just get under your skin.  I usually don't do this but here we go.  My cousin Anna and I love the same things. Old school rock n roll, we gravitate to that cheetah print, the only difference is our attitude and age difference.  She's usually nice but she can be extremely vicious. I had bought her a couple of gifts. I was excited that she came down for the holidays. But here's where things went off the boat. She lost her keys, I had just arrived from the visit to the vet with Neko. I was carrying him inside his little travel box as I don't have a pet taxi for him (i'll explain), and she was in this put your hairs on end voice "omg I lost my keys, help me find them, oh god" etc.  So I just told her because I've already been stressed enough "That's your problem."  It'd help if she had said "Okay, I've been in this room and that, help me look here." But she just wanted me to go look without giving me direction as to where. She was even going ..inside my room? Now, I have a thing about people coming in my room, if you're invited, go in.. if not.. don't just walk in there like it's your house. There's a reason why I keep my door closed.  Okay, so when I said "That's your problem." She barked "Well, F YOU THEN you little fat b*."  I'm sure she muttered more stuff under her breath but I just went inside my room and tried not to get in her way.   Obviously she made me feel bad, I rejected her and she had to be so nasty about it. There's other ways to be mean but not use such hard language, you know?  So then I was here thinking how bad she's made me feel and wonder why I have to be so forgiving with her. I guess I feel bad that her sisters hate her, due to that very reason.  Well. In the summer she was here and she threw away a lot of our stuff because she was trying to 'declutter' our house.. It wasn't in her place, but she did it. During that, she threw out my pet taxi, because I didn't have a cat at that time.. but you never know and I had that since I had my first cat ever.. so when I found out, it really hurt. Cause it made me think of the memories with my little Dolly and how when we were traveling I'd be like "Beep beep, dolly, beep beep."  :\ On a different occasion she said that I'm two faced pretending I love my grandma when she knows that I hate her. How?   So this gives you a little idea of why I'm doing this. I had two gifts for her but I ended up removing the label on one of them and just gifting it to someone else. They're Korres hand creams so that was the general gift, I still kept the makeup palette that I'm gifting to her for her though, so she won't feel entirely bad. Did I do right? I don't know.   Any bad christmas drama going on with your family?
Since I got all obsessed with makeup a few months ago, I have been on this big kick to watch "girly" stuff. So I wonder what you guys like to watch when you're feeling girly?   My favorites are: America's Next Top Model(even my husband enjoys watching this with me, but neither of us like the last two cycles with guys so we've since moved on to watching the Australian version)   New Girl- I am nowhere near caught up but I have had a serious girlcrush on Zooey Deschanel for years.   And my #1 favorite has been discovering The Mindy Project. I think I have a bigger girlcrush on Mindy Kaling than I do on Zooey.    And my stand-by is 13 Going On 30. Such a cute movie and I LOVE Mark Ruffalo.

Now that the weather is getting colder (in most places) more of us are switching to hot tea, coco, etc. So lets share - who is drinking what (from teas, to coffees to even wines, etc), post a pic if you would like ; other wise just specify the name of your beverage  and continue to enjoy it     My husband woke me up with a hot tea  for breakfast. It was Green Mint Tea - now I feel refreshed, awake but still not ready for this day !!!

So I feel like doing my makeup, but it's raining so I don't think I'll be going out. That's not the point of this status though.   What kind of music do you prefer on a rainy day?   Mine goes from classical music, to the beatles, and of course - David Bowie!        Edited to include the picture I took the other day.

In light of the Christmas Spirit, I'd like to start this temporary topic of Christmas songs. This is one of my favorite Christmas songs, what is yours, which song makes your heart tremble a bit, make you happy, make you sing?

Hi. My name is Bombshell and I am an eye shadow-aholic. I love it. It makes me so happy. It is getting out of control. Upon counting only those palettes with 3+ shadows I have a total of 43. They each deserve love and attention. They all deserve their own 5 minutes (or days in the case) of fame. My Plan is this: One by one the Palattes shall parade through the open space on my vanity. Starting this Monday, each week I will use only one palette per work week (M-F) and cheat on the weekends. I will use them one by one until I have used them all for  5 day period. I will use them in alphabetical order. I have alphabetized my palettes and started with those that begin with #'s, lowest number to highest, and the A-Z. On Saturday and Sunday (depending on what CalamityJane comes up with) there might be a look or color of the day. In addition to the palette, single shadows and eyeliner may be used ( ) in addition to the weekly palette. All looks should mainly come from the palette of the week. This way I can be fair to all of my palettes & all of my older palettes that haven't quite gotten the appreciation they deserve will get some time in the sun. At the end of the week if I was successful I will write the date beside the palette on the list. If I can't get at least 5 days worth of looks from them it is likely time to put them in a TSB or give them to a friend that will love them.  I am hoping this will help me appreciate what I've got rather than constantly thinking I need something new. I am not promising not to buy any shadows in the almost year it will take me to complete this little journey. That is just not realistic.I will just have to use them on weekend cheat days.  I am hoping the experience will at least make me more grateful for all the wonderful things I have & save me some $! LOL This is about accountability. I invite any and all to join. Feel free to make up your own rules and reward system. Just post them here and I will support you in your efforts any way that I can. Not all of us will be able to follow the same rules but we can certainly all support one another!    Courtesy of Mafan--- New Rule* I f you absolutely DO NOT like a palette, you have the option of setting it aside for a TSB/give away and moving on to the next palette on your list. No sense in wearing make up you don't like for 5 whole days!Make up is supposed to make us happy.   Courtesy of JaimeLove--- New Rule* A holiday (including your birthday, anniversary or graduation) is an acceptable cheat day! Alright everyone, you know the deal. Young 'uns listen up if your only reference to the TV show Friends is something your parents watched.    On second thought... if you're that young, this might not be the best thread for you. I'm officially giving this thread an R rating for mature concepts and mild to moderate sexuality.    On the TV show Friends, Ross and Rachel each were allowed to maintain a list of 5 people/celebrities with whom they could cheat on eachother with, and the other person couldn't get mad.    Without going further into the episode, who's on your list? At least right now... until it changes with everybody else's posts (which is exactly why you don't laminate your list like Ross did!)   1. Bradley Cooper 2. Christian Bale 3. Carlos Bocanegra (former captain of the men's US soccer team) Spoiler (Highlight to read)       4. Hugh Jackman 5. Mike Rowe

With so many of us tea drinkers I thought this could be a place for us to talk about teas. Make some suggestions. Ask for recommendations. Share recipes. Show off teaware. Lets discuss all things tea.
I just received my new Sugarpill palette that I got as an Xmas gift to myself, only to see that one of the shadows was broken. Should I contact Sugarpill about this or should I just suck it up and try to press it back together myself?
Lately I've been amping my looks up for work (server, mostly in the 21 and up area). And wow people like turn around and ladies rave. It's big confidence boosters. And I can thank sephora. I wish I had a picture but I wore the fake eyelashes on sale with the silver glitter, then sephoras glitter glue, a mix of sephora eyeshadow in diamonds are forever and mufes loose silver glitter, and a red lip. Hair in a top bun and a Xmas bow. Loving it. Thank you sephora. I return the favor by telling my customers.

So, I just saw this article on LifeHack of why highly successful people wear the same thing everyday. Not the same clothes everyday, but the same style of outfit. Like Steve Jobs and his turtle necks.    I am the most indecisive person ever, and if anyone needs a uniform it's probably me. I have only recently started to simplify my closet, but the only thing my clothes have in common so far is the color scheme (a lot of blues or grey and black) and skinny jeans.   So I thought it would be a fun topic to see what your go-to style is.  What are some of your favorite items to wear day to day?

This will be US only.   I had a lot of fun [in a stressful kind of way I suppose] last year and wanted to see if anyone would be interested in doing this again!     ❤❤ The Rundown   ❤  Same as last year, we will be using elfster do conduct the exchange. It's very easy, convenient, does a random draw, lets you make a wishlist, and allows for the asking of anonymous questions so you don't have to wonder 'will they hate this color or not...'.     You will have to add your address to elfster, but no one will see it except for the person who is your santa.    Let me know you are interested and I will message you the group URL.   ❤❤ Gifting Rules   ❤  The minimum is $35 and there is no max. Now note, it doesn't have to be a single item that is $35. It can be multiple items from off of the persons wishlist that total up to be $35.   ❤ Feel free to add random goodies to your box to make it more personal, not a requirement, but just throwing it out there that you can.     ❤❤ Deadlines   ❤ To Sign Up: November 4th. Names will be drawn on November 5th and elfster will send you an email with who you got. ❤ To Send Gift: December 12th. Gifts will need to be sent by or on this date.     If you have any questions feel free to post them here or shoot me a PM.   Thanks everyone! Looking foreword to it.

Come and let everyone know if you've done a trade with someone or they've been an awesome TSB contributor! Let's give kudos to our BT BFFs!    So a post could be one persons feedback on another, how a trade went, did they ship quickly, etc. and others could reply if they dealt with the same person and how their trade went.

I'm looking for workouts I can do at home.  Trying to get healthy in 2015 (who isn't... right?)  I love hip hop type workouts.  (Les Mills BodyJam was my fav...don't have that where I live now)   Cosmo just launched a new site that streams workouts, but it's pretty new so not a lot of info is out there.   I know the Daily Burn has been around for a while...anyone have thoughts on this service?   Are there other services that you'd recommend instead?   Thanx

I went on a shopping trip with my Mom recently which turned out to be a hilarious experience for me, so I thought I’d post it and I thought it’d be interesting to hear from all of you about some of your great and not-so-great shopping / fashion experiences.  For instance, one of my big mistakes was when I bought this pair of shiny ruby red super high heels that remind me of Dorothy's red shoes in the Wizard of Oz (ha, ha!).  I thought they were pretty at the time...I think I wore them once and came to my senses. This is my most recent shopping experience:  My Mom and I usually go shopping together once a week because it’s a fun way for us to spend time together and for both of us to get out of our houses for a while and just have fun.  My Mom and I were shopping the new spring clothing lines and Mom called me over to look at “how ugly” some of this season’s dresses are and she wanted to show me one dress in particular that she thought was especially ugly.  Well, it turned out that I loved the dress that she thought was the ugliest, but it was in the Women’s Department so none of them would fit.  I told Mom that I was sure they must have the dress in my size and I was going to keep looking for it because it would make a perfect dress to wear Easter Sunday.  Mom said she felt sure that I’d be wasting my time and we should leave (ha, ha)…that was her way of trying to stop me from looking for the dress in my size.  I kept looking and I thought I’d found it in my size, but it was in the Petite Department which wouldn’t fit me either.  Mom said that we should go because I wouldn’t want to wear that dress on Easter Sunday and she was sure they didn’t have my size anyway (ha, ha).  So I kept looking and finally found it in the Misses Department in my size, which disappointed my Mom terribly.  I tried it on and she hated it even more and I loved it even more once I tried it on.  Mom finally said she would be very embarrassed to walk into church with me in that dress (ha, ha).  I ended up buying the dress and can’t wait to wear it.  My Mom has been making comments over the past couple of weeks like “You should try that dress on again cause you may not like it now” and “If you try it on with shoes you may not like how it looks” and "Maybe you should try that dress on again cause it may not fit like you thought" and "Maybe we can find a dress that you'll like better than the one you bought" and so on still trying to get me to return the dress (ha, ha).  I love the more unusual types of clothing that are in style nowadays and usually Mom just makes a face at what I’m wearing, but this dress has been tormenting her at the thought of me wearing it.  In case you’re wondering what my Mom hates so much and what I like, here’s a picture of the dress:   Anyway, I may look back on it one day and wonder what I was thinking, but for now I love the dress! I’m anxious to hear from all of you ladies about your fashion hits and misses, so post away…

With many of us talking about some of my favorite shows, The Walking Dead and Once Upon a Time, I thought I'd get the ball rolling.   Put up your lists everyone!   1.  The Walking Dead 2.  Once Upon a Time 3.  So You Think You Can Dance 4.  Sherlock 5.  Pride and Prejudice (with Colin Firth)
A while back I posted a thread about products or techniques that have changed your makeup, skincare or hair care.   http://community.sephora.com/t5/Off-Topic/Products -and-or-Techniques-that-Changed-Your-Makeup-Skinca ...   On weekends I like to try new things, either products or techniques. Today in particular I had numerous epic fails. From one of my shadows shattering in the case (new, too, ugh) to a new BB cream providing zero coverage and actually turning my face red, to the second time this week cascading glitter all over my face from my eye shadow!! LOL I had to use makeup remover to take some stuff off it was so bad.   Just wondering if anyone else experiences the same. I do like to change things up, but it doesn't always mean success.
Just wondering how does everyone pull off this look because I'm having trouble coming up with an acceptable classy way of pulling it off without looking unacceptable (trashy).. please share your fashion tips!! Thanks!
"In the near future, we are going to be expanding our international shipping to start including other countries and in order to do this, we will need to start charging duty on all orders including those shipping to Canada. We truly apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your understanding."
I've just got into makeup recently and have been hearing about subscription boxes. I really wanted Wantable makeup boxes, but they don't ship to canada :/. Ipsy box was also interesting being only $10 per month, but the problem is if I do yearly subscription, it's extra $54 per year. Is it worth it? Also, is there any other Canadian makeup subscription boxes that is a good deal?
