What's on your plate?

Hello there, ladies and gents!

Keeping in line with all the fun and interactive threads asking about your most recent halls, items you have your eyes on, what you're currently wearing, what's your hair routine, and more, I've decide to branch out and ask:

"What's on your plate?"

The beauty world doesn't just stop at skin care and cosmetics, it also goes hand in hand with your overall health and well-being, so with that, I'm curious to see what we're all chowing down and snacking on be it for breakfast, lunch, dinner, dessert, or inbetween!

For those with apps that help count calories or to those who just want to keep a log, here's a place to share, possibly find and share some recipes, and even tips on maintaining a balanced diet.

Don't just share food items, but even drinks! I'm a huge fan of tea and at least have a cup of green tea a day (anti-oxidants) and drink plenty of water.

For lunch today, I had:

-Brown rice

-Steamed egg

-Steamed red snapper with green onion, sesame oil, and black pepper

-Gai lan (it's a type of Chinese vegetable/greens)

Now, tell me, Beauty Talk world, what do you have? 😄

Re: What's on your plate?

@Ispend2much6 I need those 🤤

Re: What's on your plate?

@lmaster  You probably do!

Re: What's on your plate?

@Ispend2much6 I will be right over LOL

Re: What's on your plate?

@Ispend2much6 ok I will wait

Re: What's on your plate?

@CorgiMommy  Maybe hold off until I make the ranch dip to go with it? 😂

Re: What's on your plate?

@Ispend2much6 Those look amazing.

Re: What's on your plate?

@SportyGirly125   Thanks.  They were okay; maybe needed more buffalo sauce in the filling.  But, the filling made a great sandwich!

Re: What's on your plate?

@SportyGirly125 ,

This creamy Ramen soup looks so delicious!

Re: What's on your plate?

@tsavorite @It’s really good.  It’s from a local restaurant called Silverlake Ramen.

Re: What's on your plate?

@SportyGirly125  Matcha tea is so amazing, this dish looks fantastic and very flavorful and it pairs very well 💕

Re: What's on your plate?

@peculiarzmakeup It was delicious.

Re: What's on your plate?

@SportyGirly125  Ah, ramen is a perfect rainy day meal. That creamy broth looks delicious. And genmaicha is one of my favorite teas, but I’ve still never had it with matcha… note to self!

Re: What's on your plate?

@WinglessOne I get my matcha and genmai matcha from Kettl and it’s the best I have tried. The taste is amazing. I even got my Pilates teacher hooked.

Re: What's on your plate?

@SportyGirly125  I’ve never ordered from Kettl before, but I’ve heard a lot about that retailer from several people. Good to know you love their teas! Someday I’ll try one or two for myself. 🙂

Re: What's on your plate?

@WinglessOne curious to know what other people have said about Kettl?

Re: What's on your plate?

@SportyGirly125  A couple of friends who live in NYC rave about Kettl, especially knowing how much I love oolong and genmaicha. Other friends have compared Kettl to retailers like Thés du Japon and others who source direct from Japanese producers (like Kettl does). Folks who’ve visited or lived in (or were born and raised in) Japan have also told me Kettl’s the real deal when it comes to super tasty tea grown and sold locally in Japan. Plus, I remember Kettl got quite a bit of national coverage in food news. So they’ve been on my radar for a couple years. My genmaicha tin’s maybe 1/4 full now, so maybe I’ll restock at Kettl this time. 🙂

Re: What's on your plate?

@WinglessOne @If you decide to buy they have  a 10% off code welcometea

Re: What's on your plate?

Thanks for the promo code, @SportyGirly125 ! And I hope you’re able to stop by their shop sometime, even if you miss their opening event(s). To some people, an hour might seem like a long way to travel just for some tea, but I’m someone who’s traveled to Jamaica and gone up the Blue Mountains just for some coffee beans direct from a plantation 😂 (and they were totally worth it) so, yeah, I think it’d be interesting and fun to visit Kettl in person.

I’m pretty sure Kettl supplies some US restaurants with tea, but I don’t know which ones. I wonder if they list any on their site; I’ll have to check, or maybe email them about it.

Re: What's on your plate?

@WinglessOne @That’s so good to know. They are opening a store a hour away from where I live and I want to go so bad to their tasting.
