What's on your plate?

Hello there, ladies and gents!

Keeping in line with all the fun and interactive threads asking about your most recent halls, items you have your eyes on, what you're currently wearing, what's your hair routine, and more, I've decide to branch out and ask:

"What's on your plate?"

The beauty world doesn't just stop at skin care and cosmetics, it also goes hand in hand with your overall health and well-being, so with that, I'm curious to see what we're all chowing down and snacking on be it for breakfast, lunch, dinner, dessert, or inbetween!

For those with apps that help count calories or to those who just want to keep a log, here's a place to share, possibly find and share some recipes, and even tips on maintaining a balanced diet.

Don't just share food items, but even drinks! I'm a huge fan of tea and at least have a cup of green tea a day (anti-oxidants) and drink plenty of water.

For lunch today, I had:

-Brown rice

-Steamed egg

-Steamed red snapper with green onion, sesame oil, and black pepper

-Gai lan (it's a type of Chinese vegetable/greens)

Now, tell me, Beauty Talk world, what do you have? 😄

Re: What's on your plate?

I will try to join you @Ispend2much6 @makeitup305 . My weak point is rice. Need to have it at least once a week. It’s an Asian curse 😂🤣

Re: What's on your plate?

@blackkitty2014 it's sweets for me. I can't have just a little bit of anything sweet. Being semi-strict about portions is the only way I've managed to still eat stuff I like and not overindulge.

Re: What's on your plate?

Ugh I have sweet weakness too @makeitup305 . The only way I can avoid is not having any kinds of sweet and pastry around the house.

Re: What's on your plate?

@blackkitty2014 yes, I'm the same. I've gotten better at eating just 1 if I'm really craving something but it's still a big temptation.

Re: What's on your plate?

@blackkitty2014   Everyone's body reacts differently to different foods, it seems.  Rice will be a carb I can have.  But, the problem for me is always the amount.  lol

Re: What's on your plate?

@blackkitty2014 @Rice and noodles for me

Re: What's on your plate?

I like fried noodles which made it even worse @SportyGirly125. Though I have to say nothing beats a noodle soup in a cold day 😘

Re: What's on your plate?

@SportyGirly125  Noodles and bread for me.

Re: What's on your plate?

@Ispend2much6 This plate of treats looks so yummy and festive. Does anyone else enjoy a baked good with a coffee or tea?

Re: What's on your plate?

@Mellmars1185  I do, especially tea.  The one exception is biscotti- I like that with coffee. Everyone in the house just likes to eat sweets, period. 🙂  How about you?

Re: What's on your plate?

@Ispend2much6 Coffee and or tea with sweets and especially sweets after dinner. I like all of the things.

Re: What's on your plate?

That is a delicious looking dessert board @Ispend2much6! That would not last in my home…

Re: What's on your plate?

@JoSometimes  Thank you.  When my guys were little, it wouldn't have lasted two weeks.  Ah, to have that fast metabolism...

Re: What's on your plate?

@Ispend2much6 it is the time of year to indulge; enjoy!

Re: What's on your plate?

@CorgiMommy  It certainly has been!  I hope you enjoyed yours.

Re: What's on your plate?

Very reasonable @Ispend2much6 it is the holidays after all 🧁😉. This platter of sweets looks delicious!

Re: What's on your plate?

@Ispend2much6 😍😍😍

Re: What's on your plate?

@SportyGirly125   I hope that's  a "yes" to my question!😉

Re: What's on your plate?

Getting ready for NYE.  We have a tradition of making hors d'oeuvres and playing games and watching movies that night.

This is the first year of making homemade tortilla chips (baked) with sprouted corn tortillas.  If you can get these, I really recommend them.  They are sweeter and even more tasty than organic corn tortillas (and easier to digest.)  I think there will be a few leftover for Sunday. 😆

@Ispend2much6 I have not seen these before. I bet they are tasty. Do you eat them with salsa?
