What's on your plate?

Hello there, ladies and gents!

Keeping in line with all the fun and interactive threads asking about your most recent halls, items you have your eyes on, what you're currently wearing, what's your hair routine, and more, I've decide to branch out and ask:

"What's on your plate?"

The beauty world doesn't just stop at skin care and cosmetics, it also goes hand in hand with your overall health and well-being, so with that, I'm curious to see what we're all chowing down and snacking on be it for breakfast, lunch, dinner, dessert, or inbetween!

For those with apps that help count calories or to those who just want to keep a log, here's a place to share, possibly find and share some recipes, and even tips on maintaining a balanced diet.

Don't just share food items, but even drinks! I'm a huge fan of tea and at least have a cup of green tea a day (anti-oxidants) and drink plenty of water.

For lunch today, I had:

-Brown rice

-Steamed egg

-Steamed red snapper with green onion, sesame oil, and black pepper

-Gai lan (it's a type of Chinese vegetable/greens)

Now, tell me, Beauty Talk world, what do you have? 😄

Re: What's on your plate?

@Mellmars1185 spaghetti squash is so delicious!

Re: What's on your plate?

@makeitup305 It is! I haven't made it for a while but I plan on making it more often. Do you have any special dishes you male with it?

Re: What's on your plate?

@Mellmars1185 not really. I mostly use it as a side to chicken when I've done it. I need to make it more often.

Re: What's on your plate?

@Mellmars1185 spaghetti squash is so good!  We honestly have pretty much stopped eating regular pasta and we've pretty much subbed with spaghetti squash and various other spiralized veggies as replacements.

Re: What's on your plate?

@CookieGirl1 My fiancée went out last night so I made it. He is not very open to it. I will have to change his mind. It was delicious!

Re: What's on your plate?

Super bad this morning, had homemade fluffy eggnog cinnamon rolls.  It truly is a once a year treat.

Re: What's on your plate?

i did , it is a once a year treat.

Re: What's on your plate?

@CorgiMommy it isn't fair, is it?  Why is it that being "bad" has to taste so GOOD?! 😂.  They look delicious.

Re: What's on your plate?

For breakfast this morning, we had a strata (breakfast casserole) with sausage, spinach, caramelized onion, eggs, cream, cheese and bread. You can make it ahead of time, but I want really ahead of schedule and did a lot of cooking yesterday, so I just did it this morning and it was still great. Also, leftover rolls, fresh oranges and tea.

It’s a family tradition. Generally, we do coffee and cinnamon rolls for first breakfast while we open stockings, then the strata for second breakfast (after presents), but it’s just me and my husband (and the pets) so we just simplified to one breakfast this time.

Re: What's on your plate?

@tsavorite  I messaged you! 💗💗💗

Re: What's on your plate?

I can pm you the recipe (roughly written down since I recently sent to my cousin). It’s very flexible based on what you have lying around/leftover, and great option for make ahead and for small or big groups. Also great leftover on its own, or you can even put in a tortilla if you need a quick breakfast burrito to go! @tsavorite
