What's on your plate?

Hello there, ladies and gents!

Keeping in line with all the fun and interactive threads asking about your most recent halls, items you have your eyes on, what you're currently wearing, what's your hair routine, and more, I've decide to branch out and ask:

"What's on your plate?"

The beauty world doesn't just stop at skin care and cosmetics, it also goes hand in hand with your overall health and well-being, so with that, I'm curious to see what we're all chowing down and snacking on be it for breakfast, lunch, dinner, dessert, or inbetween!

For those with apps that help count calories or to those who just want to keep a log, here's a place to share, possibly find and share some recipes, and even tips on maintaining a balanced diet.

Don't just share food items, but even drinks! I'm a huge fan of tea and at least have a cup of green tea a day (anti-oxidants) and drink plenty of water.

For lunch today, I had:

-Brown rice

-Steamed egg

-Steamed red snapper with green onion, sesame oil, and black pepper

-Gai lan (it's a type of Chinese vegetable/greens)

Now, tell me, Beauty Talk world, what do you have? 😄

Re: What's on your plate?

The Peanut Butter Roll was the kind of roll where the rice is on the outside, so seaweed was there but not as heavy a presence. Texture wise, I loved the crunch it had. Taste wise, the sweet sticky Peanut Butter was a hit with my wasabi filled soy sauce. It was sweet and spicy delicious-ness. @JoSometimes too be fair, I already am on team peanut butter. (😉 that's the roll the drew is too this place initially)

Re: What's on your plate?

@CynthieLu This sushi looks mouth watering and fresh 🍣. I am curious about the peanut butter crunch roll 😋

Re: What's on your plate?

I am a peanut butter lover 🥜 @Mellmars1185 I enjoyed it. The sweet flavour played so well with the spicy wasabi in my soy sauce, 😍 tasty!

Re: What's on your plate?

@CynthieLu Oooof, that looks mouth-watering 🤤. I need to get sushi ASAP.

Re: What's on your plate?

I hear that, you gotta have a sushi fix now and then. 😉 @QueenMarceline It's so tasty!

Re: What's on your plate?

@CynthieLu so how was the peanut butter crunch roll?

Re: What's on your plate?

The roll was the whole reason we ended up trying this place lol @CookieGirl1 I love peanut butter. 😄 My sister had told me about this new restaurant, it had really nice reviews.

The roll was really good! I like my soy sauce with a fair amount of wasabi in it. The heat from that, mixed with the sweet crunchy peanut butter roll was such a good contrast.

So yum!

Re: What's on your plate?

@CynthieLu @Looks amazing.

Re: What's on your plate?

@CynthieLu I love sushi, enjoy!  Love the presentation

Re: What's on your plate?

Tasty and beautifully packaged 🤩 @CorgiMommy. This place did a very good job!

Re: What's on your plate?

sigh, so this morning I was so excited cause I made brocoli and zucchini fried up with cumin paprika and lemon salt.  And made an egg scramble!  I was planning on eating it at work and I BAILED on black ice on the way to the car!  My poor breakfast!   😣
Funny side story- my husband was like ‘it didn’t actually hit the ground so you can save it!’  Hahahah, what a guy!   Glass infused eggs for extra crunch sounds so tempting for sure!😂.

All I could think about all day were eggs so that’s what I fixed up for dinner.  Gf toast with basic avacado spread (garlic salt and lime juice) and eggs fried in butter with onion and extra old white cheddar.  Sprinkled with paprika.  Yum!

Re: What's on your plate?

@heartsmyface ,

I hope that you are healed by now, but that was a lot of trauma!  I really hope that you are okay!

Your egg dinner on GF toast looks awesome!

Re: What's on your plate?

RIP egg scramble 🪦 but your dinner looks delicious @heartsmyface! Yum, aged white cheddar 😋 The creamy gooeyness is jsut so cozy and tasty.

I’m glad you’re okay (ack! I just saw you are banged up. So sorry!!)  and D’s logic made me chuckle. Suuure. Not untrue but … 😂

Re: What's on your plate?

@heartsmyface Oh dear! I hope you are ok first of all. It looks like the eggs had quite the fall. I can only imagine that you did also. What did you end up having to eat at work? Hopefully you were not starving all day. That is very dissapointing. I am glad you got to have a healthy and delicious dinner. Hopefully you had a good day at work.

Re: What's on your plate?

@Mellmars1185   Ha i had a second dish with just a baked sweet potato.  Not exactly a meal on its own (it was supposed to be a side) but it did the trick until I got home.

Re: What's on your plate?

@heartsmyface OH NO! 😞 That's such a bummer, glass infused eggs do not sound fun. Those sounded delicious, maybe you can remake them soon ~sans glass~. I hate when I make something only to end up dropping it (which happens more than I'd like to admit 🤣) but most importantly-are you alright? That looks like a not-so-cushiony fall.

Ps. Your husband is hilarious 🤣 sounds like something my guy would say.

Re: What's on your plate?

@QueenMarceline  Hahaha, I’ll make them again soon and  hence forward they shall be called œufs sans verre. Ha, sounds so fancy😜

its sweet that guys try to save situations.  Maybe if it had of been a plastic container I may have been a little more receptive to the idea.

Re: What's on your plate?

@heartsmyface BAHAHHA I am dying 🤣 very fancy sounding, I like it!

Re: What's on your plate?

Yikes! That's a dangerous fall. Black ice is soooo treacherous. Did I read that you cut your self of the glass? I hope it wasn't too serious or too painful. @heartsmyface Wishing you a quick recovery! ❤️‍🩹

You second attempt to eat some delicious eggs looks like it was successful. 😊 Yum!

Re: What's on your plate?

@CynthieLu  Sigh, the hand is already healed.  My elbow is a mess that’s going to take a few weeks-months to heal up. I tore my tricep and essentially have tennis elbow without the fun of playing tennis:/   It’s just my way of getting out of any heavy lifting for a while.

Re: What's on your plate?

Ohhhh nooo @heartsmyface! It sounds like you took a bit of a fall. I hope it’s nothing serious.

Dinner sounded amazing at least!
