Hello there, ladies and gents!
Keeping in line with all the fun and interactive threads asking about your most recent halls, items you have your eyes on, what you're currently wearing, what's your hair routine, and more, I've decide to branch out and ask:
"What's on your plate?"
The beauty world doesn't just stop at skin care and cosmetics, it also goes hand in hand with your overall health and well-being, so with that, I'm curious to see what we're all chowing down and snacking on be it for breakfast, lunch, dinner, dessert, or inbetween!
For those with apps that help count calories or to those who just want to keep a log, here's a place to share, possibly find and share some recipes, and even tips on maintaining a balanced diet.
Don't just share food items, but even drinks! I'm a huge fan of tea and at least have a cup of green tea a day (anti-oxidants) and drink plenty of water.
For lunch today, I had:
-Brown rice
-Steamed egg
-Steamed red snapper with green onion, sesame oil, and black pepper
-Gai lan (it's a type of Chinese vegetable/greens)

@JoSometimes It is so nice to see family and such a treat to enjoy their cooking. I love pancit but have not had it for a while. I hope you had a lovely time!

@blackkitty2014 We went to a restaurant for Korean hotpot. I did take some notes though. My wife requested hot pot for New Year’s.

@JoSometimes I truly believe there is something to the saying, "Food tastes better when someone else makes it." It's because it's usually made with ❤️.

@CynthieLu The photo was Christmas Day. I completely forgot to take a photo on Christmas Eve because I was so excited to eat! It was definitely a great time and even though it was a short trip, my heart is full. ☺️💕
My mistake! I read it and wrote it wrong @JoSometimes. Your Christmas Day feast was making me jelly. Visiting this thread on an empty stomach always gets me. 🤩 Your meal looks soo great.

@Mellmars1185, I found a bag of cheese curds at the grocery market. It didn’t say what specific kind of cheese was used. I was surprised to see cheese curds there; I usually get cheese curds from the specialty cheese shop in town. 😋
@itsfi So true - I usually don't see cheese curds at the grocery store. If I do, I usually purchase them and make poutine!
Exactly @Mellmars1185! During the last few months of the lockdown I saw them at Target (the ones with a grocery store in them) and I did pick up a few. I sometimes just ate the cheese curds as a snack. 😉 Is that bad?
@itsfi Cheese = Good to me! A little cheese 🧀 and 🍷 and 🫒. In any of the above combinations is a great time for me.
💯 @Mellmars1185! That trio makes a winning combination 😋 Too much cheese isn’t great for my skin but I do love it and a little now and again is a delicious treat❣️ Any particular olives you love?
@itsfi I like all olive but my favourite seems to be the stuffed green olives from the olive bar. I like the ones stuffed with blue cheese, almonds, peppers and garlic 🫒. I like the kalamata olives that are pitted and have hot peppers. What about you?
