What's on your plate?

Hello there, ladies and gents!

Keeping in line with all the fun and interactive threads asking about your most recent halls, items you have your eyes on, what you're currently wearing, what's your hair routine, and more, I've decide to branch out and ask:

"What's on your plate?"

The beauty world doesn't just stop at skin care and cosmetics, it also goes hand in hand with your overall health and well-being, so with that, I'm curious to see what we're all chowing down and snacking on be it for breakfast, lunch, dinner, dessert, or inbetween!

For those with apps that help count calories or to those who just want to keep a log, here's a place to share, possibly find and share some recipes, and even tips on maintaining a balanced diet.

Don't just share food items, but even drinks! I'm a huge fan of tea and at least have a cup of green tea a day (anti-oxidants) and drink plenty of water.

For lunch today, I had:

-Brown rice

-Steamed egg

-Steamed red snapper with green onion, sesame oil, and black pepper

-Gai lan (it's a type of Chinese vegetable/greens)

Now, tell me, Beauty Talk world, what do you have? 😄

Re: What's on your plate?

Interesting @itsfi looks so tasty. And now I want waffles. Thanks. Lol. Which you prefer?

Re: What's on your plate?

I prefer the mochi waffles @Sunnysmom, mainly because I feel that lowering my gluten intake is better for me all around.

Re: What's on your plate?

@itsfi These waffles look tasty 🧇. I enjoy berries with my pancakes and waffles as well. I am also curious about the mochi.

Re: What's on your plate?

@Mellmars1185, thanks so much. Using the glutinous rice flour mix gives it a mochi like, bouncy-ness. The mddle of it has a chewy-ness to it that makes me think of mochi donuts / mochi while the outside has a crispness to it.

Re: What's on your plate?

@itsfi Mochi waffles!? Please tell me more!

Re: What's on your plate?

@JoSometimes, it's like a mix between Belgian waffles and Japanese mochi or mochi donuts.

Re: What's on your plate?

That sounds amazing @itsfi! Thank your for the inspiration! I’ve thinking about getting a waffle maker.

Re: What's on your plate?

Ooooh, love kitchen appliances! Do the kiddoes like waffles @JoSometimes

Re: What's on your plate?

@itsfi They absolutely LOVE waffles. They’ve only had Eggo waffles so far.

Re: What's on your plate?

@itsfi  Are the waffles made with glutinous rice flour? Looks like perfection!

Re: What's on your plate?

@Ispend2much6, it is. Thank you. This was the best of the batch I made; the other side is less ... photogenic. 😅

Re: What's on your plate?

Darn this looks good @itsfi 👍

Re: What's on your plate?

Bbq burgers for dinner tonight. I feel like we ate well this past weekend. Lots of great food. I only remembered to take a picture of this!

Re: What's on your plate?

I haven’t had a burger in a while and yours is making me want one asap @Mellmars1185

Re: What's on your plate?

Woah 😳 I’m hungry now @Mellmars1185 👍

Re: What's on your plate?

@blackkitty2014 Thank you. Looking back at this makes me hungry too! It is lunch time! I actually made some tomato soup from some of the tomatoes my neighbour gave to me. Looking forward to eating that today 🍅 🍲

Re: What's on your plate?

@Mellmars1185 that looks delicious

Re: What's on your plate?

@SportyGirly125 Thank you! We are trying to bbq as much as we can before the weather changes here.

Re: What's on your plate?

I love a good burger @Mellmars1185. Is that an egg on top of the onion?

Re: What's on your plate?

@JoSometimes, that would have taken the burger to the next level! It is spicy mayo and mustard. It definitely looks like an egg 🥚. I ran out of siracha recently and had a hard time finding i at the store.
