What's on your plate?

Hello there, ladies and gents!

Keeping in line with all the fun and interactive threads asking about your most recent halls, items you have your eyes on, what you're currently wearing, what's your hair routine, and more, I've decide to branch out and ask:

"What's on your plate?"

The beauty world doesn't just stop at skin care and cosmetics, it also goes hand in hand with your overall health and well-being, so with that, I'm curious to see what we're all chowing down and snacking on be it for breakfast, lunch, dinner, dessert, or inbetween!

For those with apps that help count calories or to those who just want to keep a log, here's a place to share, possibly find and share some recipes, and even tips on maintaining a balanced diet.

Don't just share food items, but even drinks! I'm a huge fan of tea and at least have a cup of green tea a day (anti-oxidants) and drink plenty of water.

For lunch today, I had:

-Brown rice

-Steamed egg

-Steamed red snapper with green onion, sesame oil, and black pepper

-Gai lan (it's a type of Chinese vegetable/greens)

Now, tell me, Beauty Talk world, what do you have? Smiley Very Happy

Currently trying a new smoothie recipe!

♡Whole avocado

♡5 ice cubes

♡1 TBSP honey

♡2 TBSP sugar

♡Fill rest with almond milk

It is pretty good! I only added in the sugar at the end because I didn't have any yogurt to help sweeten it, I recommend to anyone who likes avocado.

Re: What's on your plate?

Wow.  I hate avocado, and to me, it is unimaginable that anyone would like this!  (I hope that doesn't sound too harsh, I also hate grapefruit if that makes it any better?)  Nutritionally, I'm wondering why you would eat this when it's all fat and carbs and a negligible amount of protein?

From my knowledge, even though avocado is a fat its considered a 'good fat' . I know theres a lot of fiber and potassium in it, and honestly I just wanted to try it because I know Kourtney Kardashian always have avocado breakfast pudding hahah.

Re: What's on your plate?

I'm making a big batch of chicken soup right now.  I don't know why it's so necessary for ne to say big batch.  It is beyond my physical capabilities to make a small batch of soup.

Me too! I mean, if you're already there with all the fixins', why make a small amount? Besides, leftover soup is even better than first-day soup. Smiley Wink

Re: What's on your plate?

Dinner was sushi last night and fro-yo afterward!

Tonight I'm doing chip-encrusted baked chicken, potato wedges, and some broccoli.

Re: What's on your plate?

We have a sushi double date tonight. I will be over-indulging.

Spoiler
(Yes, I'm rewarding weight loss with gluttony.)

I enjoyed me some salmon, tuna, smoked salmon and a roll with unagi, tempura shrimp, crab meat, cucumber, and avocado.

I will tear up a rice bowl with unagi!!!

Re: What's on your plate?

This looked so yummy that I had to make a run to the store for the ingredients.  I'll add grilled chicken to please the hubster.  He has to have a "piece of animal flesh" with every meal.
