What's on your plate?

Hello there, ladies and gents!

Keeping in line with all the fun and interactive threads asking about your most recent halls, items you have your eyes on, what you're currently wearing, what's your hair routine, and more, I've decide to branch out and ask:

"What's on your plate?"

The beauty world doesn't just stop at skin care and cosmetics, it also goes hand in hand with your overall health and well-being, so with that, I'm curious to see what we're all chowing down and snacking on be it for breakfast, lunch, dinner, dessert, or inbetween!

For those with apps that help count calories or to those who just want to keep a log, here's a place to share, possibly find and share some recipes, and even tips on maintaining a balanced diet.

Don't just share food items, but even drinks! I'm a huge fan of tea and at least have a cup of green tea a day (anti-oxidants) and drink plenty of water.

For lunch today, I had:

-Brown rice

-Steamed egg

-Steamed red snapper with green onion, sesame oil, and black pepper

-Gai lan (it's a type of Chinese vegetable/greens)

Now, tell me, Beauty Talk world, what do you have? 😄

Re: What's on your plate?

Thank you @tsavorite. I've tried making tenderloin before and managed to make it dry. 😂 It's a true gift, I tell ya. Will put it on my list to revisit at another time.

Re: What's on your plate?

@itsfi It was super yummy. It's a recipe from yourbarefootneighbor on IG. Only thing I did extra was add a packet of onion soup mix to the gravy because I loooooooove onions LOL

Re: What's on your plate?

@AznAngelLiz 3 hours?!  Wow, I bet they practically fell apart!

Re: What's on your plate?

@AznAngelLiz Mmmm that looks really delicious and comforting 😍

Re: What's on your plate?

@Mellmars1185 Thanks! This was my first time making it so I only did a few pork chops, which were gone in one sitting. I'm adding this to my meal rotation.

Re: What's on your plate?

I made Spam musubi for the first time tonight! They were delicious, even my husband said so and he’s very discerning, lol. I made mine without the nori - I want to like nori but I just don’t.

Re: What's on your plate?

Woah this looks good @sister13 👍

Re: What's on your plate?

Thanks @AznAngelLiz and @blackkitty2014 ! I like mine without the nori, whereas my husband actually likes it fully wrapped in nori! Haha, we are opposite in many things!

Re: What's on your plate?

That looks so good @sister13 Spam musubi is one of my favorites1

Re: What's on your plate?

Oooh impressive @sister13 !!! Looks great !

Re: What's on your plate?

Thanks!  My husband just told me that the seaweed’s part should cover or almost cover the spam, but I’ve only seen it this way, so I can make it for him like that next time. I guess this is the new style, lol! @Kim888

Re: What's on your plate?

I love spam misubi! Yours are perfectly shaped @sister13.

Re: What's on your plate?

I got a musubi mold/press on Amazon and it really works, haha!

Re: What's on your plate?

That's so awesome! Enjoy it @sister13 😃

Re: What's on your plate?

Thank you so much @CynthieLu ! We had the leftovers for pre-breakfast snack today, haha!

Re: What's on your plate?

It looks perfect @sister13! 👍🏼 My niece loves spam musubi. I showed her what you made. Her response was “spam musubi!!! It looks sooo goooood!!!” 😋

Re: What's on your plate?

It turned out better than I expected but it is pretty simple really! My husband wants me to make it again tomorrow, lol! @itsfi

Re: What's on your plate?

@sister13 That looks delicious. I have never tried Spam. I bought a can to makes something with it. This is an excellent idea.

Re: What's on your plate?

I make spam fried rice sometimes and now this. Spam is very salty but good! My husband wants me to make the spam musubi again tomorrow, lol. I bought a musubi mold on Amazon for a few dollars and had to get some nori/seaweed paper, but otherwise it’s very simple! @Mellmars1185

This was another post-worthy meal. Korean bbq lettuce wraps! It’s really quick to prepare and carb-free too. I bought some pork belly and marinated it overnight in some soy sauce, mirin, sesame seed oil, brown sugar, and garlic. I did a spicy batch too by adding some gochujang. I sliced it into bite sized pieces and just pan fried them to be quick, but you could easily toss it on the grill, bake in the oven, or air fry it.  You could easily swap the protein if you wanted or use honey instead of sugar.

Re: What's on your plate?

Oh wow, yum!! @JoSometimes
