What's on your plate?

Hello there, ladies and gents!

Keeping in line with all the fun and interactive threads asking about your most recent halls, items you have your eyes on, what you're currently wearing, what's your hair routine, and more, I've decide to branch out and ask:

"What's on your plate?"

The beauty world doesn't just stop at skin care and cosmetics, it also goes hand in hand with your overall health and well-being, so with that, I'm curious to see what we're all chowing down and snacking on be it for breakfast, lunch, dinner, dessert, or inbetween!

For those with apps that help count calories or to those who just want to keep a log, here's a place to share, possibly find and share some recipes, and even tips on maintaining a balanced diet.

Don't just share food items, but even drinks! I'm a huge fan of tea and at least have a cup of green tea a day (anti-oxidants) and drink plenty of water.

For lunch today, I had:

-Brown rice

-Steamed egg

-Steamed red snapper with green onion, sesame oil, and black pepper

-Gai lan (it's a type of Chinese vegetable/greens)

Now, tell me, Beauty Talk world, what do you have? 😄

Re: What's on your plate?

Looks like sweet potato fries!

Re: What's on your plate?

So with all the taco and Mexican food talk that occured in BT recently this weekend my bf and I went out and I got shrimp and crab enchilladas with avocado and cheese cream sauce plus cilantro rice. We also got an order of ceviche and the serving was HUGE!!!! That alone could have been an appetizer for at least 6 people so we hardly put a dent in it, but it made a great snack for the next day.

My tacos posting led me here!

For Lunch today (because I am allowed carbs today) I went to Red Robin and had their Crispy Chicken Burger with Garlic Parmesan fries. I was very carb happy afterwards.

Re: What's on your plate?

I love the Red Robin fries!! I love also love their Buffalo Chicken Strips. They are almost too spicy for me which kind of makes me love them more!

Re: What's on your plate?

Oh man. This looks amazing.

Re: What's on your plate?

That is quite carby but looks good. Do you usually eat lower carb?

Re: What's on your plate?

Breakfast and afternoon snack today (as well as the snack for my drive home from work):

Crunchy peanut butter, oatmeal, banana, and chocolate protein shake (my bf made his batch last night and had extra that wouldn't fit into his blender bottles so I got the remainders in mine)

Lunch today:

Salmon, sea salt and fresh cracked black pepper cooked in a pan with garlic butter

Mashed potatoes with mushroom gravy

Steamed broccoli

You are sunshine, glad to see you ED!

Re: What's on your plate?

This is the rest of the grass-fed beef brisket that we got. Today my husband made Texas style barbequed brisket. He grilled this at a low temperature on the BBQ over some hickory wood chips. Very tender and slight smoky flavor.

Re: What's on your plate?

Oh my gosh. This looks AMAZING.

Re: What's on your plate?

I don't know which brisket looks better.  They both look amazing and delicious!

Re: What's on your plate?

That brisket looks like it's trying to escape the pan!

Re: What's on your plate?

Slow-cooker meal today (no photo, sorry) - Pork Tinga (adapted from Rick Bayless's recipe).

Pork butt, chorizo, potatoes, and onions slow-cooked with tomatoes and chipotles in adobo. Topped with cheese and avocado.

YUM
