Hello there, ladies and gents!
Keeping in line with all the fun and interactive threads asking about your most recent halls, items you have your eyes on, what you're currently wearing, what's your hair routine, and more, I've decide to branch out and ask:
"What's on your plate?"
The beauty world doesn't just stop at skin care and cosmetics, it also goes hand in hand with your overall health and well-being, so with that, I'm curious to see what we're all chowing down and snacking on be it for breakfast, lunch, dinner, dessert, or inbetween!
For those with apps that help count calories or to those who just want to keep a log, here's a place to share, possibly find and share some recipes, and even tips on maintaining a balanced diet.
Don't just share food items, but even drinks! I'm a huge fan of tea and at least have a cup of green tea a day (anti-oxidants) and drink plenty of water.
For lunch today, I had:
-Brown rice
-Steamed egg
-Steamed red snapper with green onion, sesame oil, and black pepper
-Gai lan (it's a type of Chinese vegetable/greens)
Now, tell me, Beauty Talk world, what do you have? 😄
Door is open!
Are you a professional chef? I love your dishes. Can you please adopt me? 🙂
Not a pro by any means. Haven't even taken a cooking class before. (Well, except home ec years ago.)
Sure, I can adopt you. 😉
I love all the color in her dishes! It's a feast for the eyes and the tummy!
(if only we could pass food through computer screens)
I have been craving roasted BS for months, with a squirt of lemon please.
Lunch: peanut butter and blackberry jelly on an italian waffle cookie. It was awesome and so easy!
Can that just be made into a cookie????
This looks yummy and convenient!
I just died laughing!!! Had to share it! 😄
That kitty is so cute!! I want it! 😄
Genius! Lol 🙂
YASSS! That's what I'm talking 'bout! 😄
The only salad I eat are cucumber salads (with rice vinegar dressing, at most sushi restaurants) and seaweed salads. Potato, fruit, Caesar, etc. salads are a no-go for me.
Oh sooo cute 🙂
Sorry, I was way too hungry to take some better, and fancier pics. But, I promise you this is friggin delicious! Potato moussaka ( with ground pork ). XXXL moussaka. 😄
I don't eat this often, but when I do... I stuff myself with it like there's no tomorrow! 😄 Love. it!
Those layers O_O
Looks delish!
Yummy! I love moussaka!
Me too, it doesn't exist here in the south that I have seen.
Tonight we had cube steak with mushrooms and broccoli.
Cube steak sort of bores me so I made a crust for it (kind of like chicken fried steak). Steak was dipped in a mix of bold A-1 sauce and coconut milk, then dipped in ground seasoned pork rinds, cashew meal and flaxseed. The steak was sauteed in butter and olive oil with the mushrooms and served on a sauce of bold A-1 sauce mixed with sugar-free orange marmalade and sugar-free BBQ sauce. I drizzled some roasted pistachio oil on top of the steamed broccoli.
That looks delicious, DiVWA! It's like a healthier version of Chicken Fried Steak which is seriously one of my favorite dishes. I only have it like once a year though because I have to watch my red meat intake. So yummy though!
