What companies have you gotten samples from?

I just wanna ask what companies give out free samples when you contact them. I only know of Mario Badescu and L'occitane. :smileyhappy:

Who doesn't love free samples anyway? :smileyhappy:

The C15 is really good. I just started using it several days ago and several stubborn marks have already lightened. I've used lots of different skin lighteners to try and get rid of  a couple of dark acne spots that have been difficult over the last few months. Murad gave me a sample of their Post Acne Spot Lightning Gel and I find this one to work much better. I think this one is stronger and less irritating. The Murad worked but it took a long time (like most things) to see minor results and was slightly irritating (again like most lighteners I've tried). I think this one is the superior product and is worth a look especially to those who find these things usually irritating.

Re: What companies have you gotten samples from?

L'occitane people are lovely. I did the live chat today to ask about what products are appropriate for me, the lady offered to send me samples right before I was about to ask. I didn't get any response from Mario Badescu the first time, but I did get the email about samples the second time I did the survey. The only difference was that I added some of the products into my cart, did not check out, not sure if that's what made the difference or if I just got lucky.

I have also gotten a package from KGD, I'm married to their cleansing water, for life. When I asked Hourglass for samples, they told me they don't send samples and go visit a Sephora instead.

Hourglass told me no too, which is a shame because I'm seriously considering buying their foundation.  I've put it in my cart and taken it out several times.  I'm hoping to get one of the foundation samples in the Sephora Traveling Box.  Fingers crossed.

Re: What companies have you gotten samples from?

I heard Jouer sends out samples as well. I sent them an email and am waiting for their response! I hope to hear from them soon. I am in the market for a new tinted moisturizer!

I heard they did as well, but they responded and said they weren't doing so at the moment. :smileysad:

Oh boo! I am still waiting for their response, but it has been a couple of days. Guess it is a no.

Re: What companies have you gotten samples from?

Not sure if anyone has tried Dr. Dennis Gross, but I just sent them an email.

Dr. Dennis Gross was a no - they said go to Nordstrom or Sephora for samples.

I sent out e-mails last night. I got yeses from L'Occitane, Marc Jacobs, Jane Iredale, Murad, Living Proof, Mario Badescu, Dr. Hauschka, Nia24, Juice Beauty, vbeauté, and Ren (just gave them my address so don't know yet if they ship to US but I can give a friend in the UK address if I need to).

No from Smashbox and YSL (these were ones I tried because I actually wanted to buy something but nowhere carries their fairest shades by me to see if they would work. It's hard to pick a foundation if you can't try a sample in your shade.).  Dr. Brandt said no but only for the specific line I asked about.

I did try to ask about specific products in my e-mails and explain what I currently use and what I'm looking for.  Not sure if that hurt or helped me, but just in case other people are wondering what I might have said that might have worked or not worked.

I got a bunch of samples in the mail today! Can't wait to post pictures tonight.  I'm wearing Marc Jacobs Honey right now and it's making me so happy!

New yeses today--Folle de Joie‏ (perfume), The Laundress (laundry but for taking good care of my clothes, so sorta beauty related), Epionce, Karin Herzog (for $2 shipping), Thymes (perfume), NeoStrata, Tammy Fender (they can send you 2-3 small samples for free or 8 larger samples for $12 shipping, I opted for the larger samples as they were personalized to me and very helpful, we'll see what size they actually are when I get them)

No--Caudalie, Jane Carter (but they do offer samples for sale), Lancer Skincare, Jan Marini (my fave line, I ended up buying a very expensive starter pack for travel anyway even though I have and love their full-sized line just because I wanted the mini bottles to transfer into and it came with some products I haven't been able to try yet)

I am having so much fun with this and know I'm going to find some new products I just have to buy :-)

I've had a couple of questions.  The Marc Jacob was for perfume and I asked on the COTY website.

I also had signed up on La Mer's website about 4/6 weeks ago.  Today I got a little box in the mail & received a sample of their Creme de la Mer and their Regenerating Serum.  Yeah!!!!

Ohhh awesome!  Years ago I got a sample of La Mer in store and just about died when I heard the price.  I'd like to try it again now that I am older and could actually afford to buy it.  I do think it's a really good product.  Let us know how you like it!

New yeses today from Paula's Choice and Red Flower :-)

The only bad thing about this is that I know I'm going to fall in love with so many things I absolutely have to buy!

I sent ones to L'Occitane, Marc Jacobs, Dr.Hauschka, Nia24, and Juice Beauty last night. I still need to email Living Proof as that is the only one I haven't done yet. Instant yes from L'Occitane and Dr.Hauschka. Still waiting on the others. I also got a yes from Dr.Brandt which I emailed several days ago.

Re: What companies have you gotten samples from?

If I remember correctly, the Ren samples came from New Jersey or somewhere on the east coast.

Thanks. I just got a your samples are on their way message from them.  I only wondered because the e-mail response was a UK address.  But they said yes :-)

I was wondering the same thing when I got the e-mail.  I got Ren & Vbeaute on the same day.

Re: What companies have you gotten samples from?

So are you guys just sending an email via the brand's websites and straight up asking for samples? I took the Mario Badescu survey but it doesn't offer samples, did you guys just email them and ask after taking the survey?

Re: What companies have you gotten samples from?

You take the survey and Mario Badescu will email you asking if you want samples. If you fill it out and explain your problems they have to follow up with you directly and it will take much longer for them to respond to you. Most of these you just email the site in the appropriate place, all of them are different.

I received my 6 samples from Mario Badascu.tumblr_mu29uh9VaW1rhbyawo1_500.jpg
