UD's new Smoked Palette

I just got the email from UD, they have a new palette out, the Smoked Palette- a bunch of new shades and if you order the palette, they send along the tutorial book. Hmmm, can my charge card stand it?

Their pricing is also sneaky, it's $49 which means you have to purchase something else to get the free shipping with $50 order. Trouble is, there isn't something for $1, the cheapest thing in the sale department is $7, and a quick perusal didn't turn up anything cheaper. Devilishly clever!

Ooh -- it looks lovely, but I already have too many palettes I don't use nearly enough . It looks really nice, though -- at least with UD the quality is always top notch (in my experience, anyway).

Beautiful, but I will be passing on it too! I got their dark palette recently and love it.  There's always the F&F sale if I change my mind lol

As beautiful as the palette is I'm thinking about skipping out on this one too. I already have SO many palettes as it is along with a number of different jewel tone shadows. I do like the fact that it comes with a little how-to booklet and the zipper does make it look really appealing! seems like it'd be a really nice palette to take traveling for sure.

Tempting but as Sephoramusthave said, I probably have similar colors lurking around.  Do not need anymore black eyeliners.  Beats the lip gloss though.

As much as I love Urban Decay, I'll have to skip this one just because I already have the Naked Palette, Mariposa palette and honestly.. about 3 other old and discontinued ones. Similar colors and its still gorgeous but almost the same of what I have.

I saw the palette when I was scrolling through Instagram and Facebook on my phone.  I think I can safely say I'll be passing on this one.  I have a couple of colors in it already in the UD 15 palette, and only a couple of other colors are catching my eye (Freestyle and Rockstar).  However, the packaging is really cute.

I received this email too, and at first I was all over it but $49 seems steep for another palette. I ♥ most of the colors, but realistically will not use all of them. The fanatic in me is looking for justification!!

I'll wait till the reviews are out.

They always have stuff for $2-5. Basically you go to sales and order by price from low-high. If sales doesn't work, just go to Sephora Collection and you will find the cheapest thing:

Usually if there's nothing <$5 I want at all, I'd much rather get a Jack Black lip balm for $7.50 rather than $5 of stuff I don't use.

@ beautytester- Sephora always has inexpensive items in the sales section, but the problem is, the new Smoked Palette is currently only available from UD, and they don't have any cheap items in their sales section.

The new UD Smoked Palette is so pretty!  Something about the zipper makes it so appealing  I got the email this morning too... but I'm holding out until we get it here at Sephora  If you ladies can hold you, we should have them available in August!

I saw it too!!  It's so tempting to get but I have so many of those colors.  I do have an ever growing eye shadow collection so I know eventually I'll end up getting it ;-).  I am excited about a new kit from Tarte coming out on QVC on the 13th!  I really want to try the new foundation.  I also saw a sample pack on the UD website and I'd like to try it out too...
