Recent obsessions

What is your most recent obsession? it doesn't have to be cosmetics, it could be anything.

for me, cosmetic wise, I'm obsessed with the Lavanilla products in grapefruit vanilla. I tested the lotion out a while ago and loved it but they were out of stock. so today when I went in there I bought one, and I bought the deodorant (i love the twist cap, it's harder for for a curious toddler who is quite fond of applying deodorant to his forehead.). I tried out the rollerball, I'm pretty dedicated to the perfume I wear and I have yet to find anything i like besides it. I didn't like the rollerball at first, but the car ride home I kept smelling it and liking it more and more, so I might have to go back for it. 

non cosmetic wise, I'm loving my new coach tote. I swore I would never ever spend that much money on a purse, but I saw someone else with one that I fell in love with and I couldn't get it off my mind. I figured since I had a bunch of birthday money and not much in mind on what to use it for, I would buy one. this purse will go to the grave with me, because I don't plan on buying another expensive purse for a long long time. i ordered it online though, so I have to wait a week.

Hi Pariah,

I think right now, I am hooked on finding a good self tanner. We don't get too much sun over where I live and its nice to have some color! I really want to get the St. Tropez Self Tan Dark Bronzing Mousse, the color looks very brown with no orange tones. I still have my favorite however, its always nice to try something new

My recent obsession is COLOR STICKS. They can be used as blush and lipstick and they are in to-go stick packaging so I can take them anywhere. They save time and space! Right now I have Josie Maran Color Stick in Petal Pink (FAVE) and today I bought NARS The Multiple in Riviera.

I am obsessed with watching youtube beauty guru videos! Especially Michelle Phan, Julieg713, and Bubzbeauty.

Actually, my latest obsession has  not been makeup but things to organize and hold makeup in.  I've been heating up eBay getting lots of $.99 stuff like pencil cases and small train cases and stuff I can stack on my side of the sink..  It's been so much fun.  I've been getting really original with items. (and pretty) but always staying below $1.99 w/ no overseas shipping.  

I've also started obsessing on hot weather  clothes. Along w/ VS I have a couple other other catalogues I like to shop from.  Two are for Plus sized women so it's really fun to be at the bottom size of the scale instead of the top for all of them.

Anything by Weleda! Their skincare, their body stuff, everything! I cant get enough of this brand, I love everything that I tried so far and I keep buying more and more!!!

@beebrunet- I am obsessed with my dog and horses!  My Golden Retriever died (of old age) in December and I am thinking of getting a puppy. That unconditional love... just can't beat it!

Makeup Obsession: Fragrances, especially exotic ones!  I love ones by Aqua di Colonia, a wonderful little Italian perfumerie in Soho in NYC. I am going to NYC this week and plan to get at least one more.

@prettyinpa: I want a dog *SO* badly. I have the worst case of dog envy ever; I'm sure I look like a crazy person every time I stop to admire (not pet, of course, unless I actually ask) dogs on my street. There was the most beautiful Bernese Mountain puppy TIED TO A  PARKING METER outside my apartment and when I went up to say hi, he just kind of rolled over and flopped on my feet. Aggh!

I'm not home enough to have a dog, though -- I think it would just be mean to leave a puppy alone all day. (Maybe it isn't? I've never had a dog before.)

also @prettyinpa: Have fun in New York! I'm so jealous -- since I moved to CA, I hardly ever make it there. When I lived in Pittsburgh, I went every few months (my sister lives there)

...and, errrr...back to other obsessions not of the canine variety (please excuse my previous rambling post), I'm currently obsessed with collecting shades of NARS blush that I don't own, rare shades of Chanel JC blush, and I'm still on the hunt for a better foundation (I'm currently using Bobbi Brown Moisture Rich, which I do like -- but it's always fun to look for others).

Oh, and heels and trench coats? Those are my other obsessions...and pencil skirts (but not necessarily together).

@pocketvenus - Cool shoes! And yes to spring weather in T.O.!!

I'm currently obsessing over nail polish as usual. I get a chip and immediately have to redo my nails. I have nail polish ADD and can't last 3 days without changing colours!

Also suddenly luminizers even though I have oily skin and never need the extra "sheen" on my face. I've been watching Lisa Eldridge videos and she always does a really flawless face that's dewy and glowy. I guess Lisa Eldridge videos count as a new obsession. I've been watching them during study breaks at like 3am!

I'm also starting to obsess over a new spring perfume, and I don't want it to be a typical one you can get from a regular store. I'm thinking of visiting CB I Hate Perfume in Brooklyn and finally getting a whiff of "Library" and all the atypical enchanting scents they offer.

I guess that's another thing: hoping to go to NYC and visiting landmarks I have not been to so far. And shopping for products unavailable in Canada.

Seriously, I could live in this thread. I'm a giant ball of obsessions!

I am never one to get excited about skincare, especially since I don't really have skin issues so I can kinf of use whatever and be ok with it, but lately that is all I am buying! I think the stress of college has started to take a toll on my skin and I broke out WAY more this year than ever in my life so I have bought a ton of different acne solutions (still cant find the perfect one, any suggestions for little stress breakouts? Nothing major, but enough to be annoying!). I also have started using some anti-aging serums for preventative reasons. Right now I love Ole Henrikson products! 

Non cosmetic wise, definitely new spring/summer scented candles! I just went to Bath and Body Works and bought a bunch of those little mini ones. I love when things that remind me of spring and summer

• Kale! I used to hate kale but now I can't get enough of it. (Feel free to ask for recipes )
• Japanese crafts - I just found this awesome magazine called Oshare, can't read most of the instructions but the photos are clear enough. On that note, also loving SOEN, a Japanese fashion/photography/arts magazine
• Wearing heels - it's spring again in Toronto!!
• Deerhunter and Nick Cave
• Listening to French radio
