Maltipoo Makeup Look: Wearable Colorful Smokey Eyes

Hi!  I recently purchased the MUFE aqua eyes eyeliner pencil in 4L, Shimmering Plum, so I wanted to make a look with it.  This is a nighttime smokey eye that is completely wearable-great for brown and green/hazel eyes.  I was very happy with the results!  Here's the step by step in the new format, as promised :smileyhappy:

1. Apply an eyeshadow primer (I used UDPP) and apply either a gold base (I used Mac's Bare Study Paint Pot) or a shimmery pale gold shadow (I used the Sephora shadow in Californian Blonde-I patted it on top of the paint pot):

2. Apply Urban Decay's Smog (or any medium shimmery brown) to the crease and blend in the outer V as well:

3. Place a dot of Urban Decay's Darkhorse (or any very deep shimmery brown) in the outer corner of the crease, and blend it into the crease and outer V very well:

4. Apply a purple eyeliner pencil to the top lashline, lower waterline, and outer 2/3 of the lower lashline (keeping it very close to the bottom lashes):

5. Finish off the look with some mascara, and touch up any shadows you want to emphasize (I went over the gold shadow on my lid to keep the look from being too dark).  Here's the finished look:

Very simple, but has a really nice result.  Have fun experimenting!  Talk to you soon.

Very nice look! I usually like using brightly colored eyeshadow for liner, but you make it look easy and wearable! Thank you, I will experiment now!

Very pretty!!  I love using purple liners, and it really does complement green/hazel or brown eyes.

I have been wanting to try a bright liner with neutral colors for summer, your look is perfect. Thanks for your take on the MUFE liner too, I've been curious about their pencil liners, I have a couple of their liquid ones but only in neutral colors.

Pretty as always! You look so nice and this look is another winner!

Very nice! I'm wondering how shimmery the liner is? Is there actual glitter in it? Thanks for the step by step! Pretty!

Re: Maltipoo Makeup Look: Wearable Colorful Smokey Eyes

Hi! Thanks so much- the eyeliner has absolutely no glitter (which is great because in my experience, glitter in eyeliners always ends up everywhere but on my eyes). It has just a little shimmer that is hardly noticeable once it's applied. I like it so much better than my Urban Decay 24/7 liner-it's much smoother to apply and stays put better. Glad you like the look!
