OPI Vintage Minnie Set

A couple of weeks ago, I picked up the mini set of OPI's Vintage Minnie polishes.  A few people seemed kind of interested in it, and I finally got around to playing with it a bit.  Here are a few pics from playing around with the mini.  I'm really glad that I decided to get, even though I already have a good stock of pinks lol.

No fancy nail art lol.  I used the red shade called The Color of Minnie, and it is pretty spot on with the shade of her dress.  For an accent nail, I used another Indie polish I bought off of Etsy.  It's another Atomic Polish, and it's called As You Wish.  I think Minnie Mouse would love all of the hearts lol.

Another user I follow on Instagram has created a Vintage contest, and this is my first entry.  When I think vintage, I think simple, so I went with this and used a matte top coat.  The base pink is If You Moust, You Moust, and it reminds me of a Barbie type of pink.  For the lines, I used I'm All Ears, and I applied it with a nail art brush.  Before the matte top coat, it has a magenta shimmer to it.  I almost changed my mind about using the matte top coat since the shimmer is really pretty, but matte seemed like it would kind of fit the vintage theme.  Just for the heck of it, I added Cina lavender rhinestones where the lines meet.

I honestly think I have an addiction to entering nail art contests, but it is fun lol.  The summer one ended the other day.  Although I didn't win, I did place in the top 20 out of over 200 manicures entered.  Since it was hot as heck yesterday, that made my day lol.

So cute! I really really like the light pink with the rhinestones you did, super cute and reminds me of those old school boxes of candy, the gold wrapped ones with the red ribbons printed on :smileyhappy:

I really do need to buy that set, even if its the minis and not full size! I love nail polish so much and love taking pics of my nails! I should follow you on instagram hahaha, get some more ideas!

Thanks again for sharing with us, its usually one of the highlights on our Beauty Talk boards!

@dianabt  Thanks!!  Although they're not full size, I believe I'll get a lot of use out of them.  I like how it's a good way to play with certain shades before buying and using the full size.  OPI and Sepora by OPI full size bottles are pretty good in size, and that means lots of polish to use lol.

@projulie  Thank you!  :smileyhappy:  I can't wait to use the hearts for Valentine's Day nails next year lol.

Good point Kimmi, I have baby polish bottles that I STILL have not run out of, so you can imagine how long a full size bottle lasts! :smileyhappy: I do need some new colors, I have a ton of pink and purples but almost wonder how doing a blue and turquoise nail would look with the hearts on top!

(0) Hearts

@dianabt I just did my nails today with a shimmery torquoise color on my nail tips.  It's Zoya's Zuza.  I'll post a picture of the manicure in a new thread.  Wtih gold glitter, it reminds me of a mermaid's fin! lol.
