Holiday Weekend Nails

Has anyone thought about or already sporting festive nails for this weekend?  I'll probably do my nails on Thursday, but I'm still debating lol.  I'm not sure if I'll go with polishing my fingernails with China Glaze Ruby Pumps or just paint the tips with my Stripe Rite glittery red.  Decisions, decisions lol.

Re: Holiday Weekend Nails

I'm actually going to NOT paint my nails and use my new Sephora by OPI Trend Tips!

I've used the Nail stickers and Nail Bling before but was given a set of the Trend Tips which use REAL nail lacquer. They look GORGEOUS and I've had no problem with the others (as long as you follow the instructions and are VERY precise, they can stay for a week), so I'm excited to see what turns out! :smileyhappy:

I ended up painting my nails today with China Glaze's Ruby Pumps, and I used my glittery silver L.A. Colors Nail Art Polish to draw a couple of asterisk style snowflakes on a couple of nails.  I have to repaint my right thumb since I smudged it at some point.

Dear kimmi1115,

I will be sporting coral nails to show off what remains of my summer tan while I'm in Florida for break :smileyhappy:

I'm thinking I might do a red nail with one nail on each hand (probably my ring finger) decorated with a green glittery holly leaf shape and 2 glittery red holly berries. I figured it'll look festive, and cute!

If not that, then I think I'll do candy cane stripes on my nails now that I'm finally out for winter break!

ps I'm loving your new picture! It's really cute!!

Hi Kimmie1115,

I say paint the tips with my Stripe Rite glittery red. I just got my nails done and I used the Sephora By OPI "Mr.Right Now" and then I painted my tips with the Sephora by OPI "I found a pot of gold". Its so fun and festive:smileyhappy:.

Re: Holiday Weekend Nails

I'll have to stick to painted toes, whenever I work around the barn, my nail polish lasts about 10 minutes! lol But red toes with little green Christmas trees would be fun! Love your new festive avatar picture!

@prettyinpa and charlotte  Thanks :smileyhappy:   Candy cane nails are also very festive.

@prosarab Your design sounds very pretty!   I think I did bring my silver glittery L.A. Colors Nail Art Polish, too. I may have to work that in somehow lol.

Re: Holiday Weekend Nails

I have OPI's Bogota Blackberry on my toes with Set in Stones Essie glitter polish over it.  Looks very festive and cool, actually.   I'm debating what to put on my fingernails though.  I have an iridescent nail color, Pure Pearlfection Essie polish, that I'm thinking I might put over Butter London's Primrose Hill Picnice (bright pink).  If not, I'll probably do the Pearlfection one over Bogota Blackberry (this is a darker red than I'm Not Really a Waitress", more black in it) to see how it looks.

Re: Holiday Weekend Nails

Love all of your nail color ideas!

Nail polish is a subtle way to get festive. I just painted my nails emerald green, but being the nail junkie that I am I'll probably redo them again before this weekend. I'm thinking about going for a rich bordeaux color, like OPI's Beauty Junkie. Although I'm also playing with the idea of using a champagne color like OPI's Wild About Shimmer. Hmm...decisions, decisions.
