Chip chip goes the Chanel.

I recently purchased my first Chanel polish. I LOVE the color (549 Distraction); it's great for Spring/Summer, but it chips like crazy ... as in, after one day sitting at my desk job it's already chipping! I don't want to toss it because I purchased coordinating lipstick and gloss from Chanel. Clear Gel from Perfect Formula extends the wear a bit, does anyone have any tips to staying chip free? or a top coat that's worked wonders you? Thanks!

Hi Lindseykat,
I really like the Illamasqua Nail Top Coat. Its really thick and shiny and makes any polish stand out and last a bit longer
I hope it works for you too.

Hello Lindseykat,
I agree with the OPI coat and Nails Inc too. I have a few Chanel polishes that I absolutely LOVE but they can sometimes chip a bit more, particularly if you don't have a base or a top coat. My personal favorite is the Butter London Matte base coat which is super fun to wear even alone!

HI lindseykat,
Nails Inc's Kensington Caviar is a super glossy top coat that has a chip resistant shield to maximize your nail color. It dries in less than a minute; this polish can withstand the daily wear of typing, filing, even doing the dishes

I have Chanel polish in 535 May and I use OPI's top coat over it and it prevents it from chipping. You can also try OPI's base coat and see if that helps.

I second OPI's top coat.
