Q. What are you wearing now?
I'm not just a beauty addict -- I'm a nail polish fiend!  I change my nail polish 2-3 times a week because I get easily bored and sometimes what looks good one day totally clashes with another outfit another day.   Currently wearing "Absolutely Alice" from OPI's Alice in Wonderland collection.   What are YOU wearing on your nails today?   [Edit:  Since this question was posed, I've gone from Essie's "Masquerade Belle" to Color Club's "Mrs. Robinson" to Deborah Lippman's "Wicked Game" to Deborah Lippman's "Bad Romance."  ]

Q. Favorite Jelly Finish Polishes
Recently I accidentally discovered that I love jelly finish polishes. However, short of trying every polish in the world, I don't know how to pin down which ones are jelly and which aren't. So Far I have Deborah Lippman "Glitter in the AIr" and RBL Bikini Bottom. Anyone else love JEllies? Which ones are your favorites? Which brands do you prefer?

Q. Nail colour question
Hi, I've bought a dress from whistles (Vienna tropical floral dress) for my 40th birthday party. It's navy and a kind of acid yellowy green with slight flashes of electric blue. Ii am wearing it with electric blue shoes. Can anyone advice a good nail colour to go with it? I don't suit blues and I can't decide whether to go for something subtle like a nude, or a nude with maybe some sparkle at the tips, or whether to just embrace the whole colour thing and go for a coral or orange? Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Q. Chanel Nail Polish - worth the money?
Do you guys think that Chanel nail polish is worth the money? I would love to have Blue Satin and Rouge Fatal, but $25 dollars seems like a lot for a nail polish. Especially for a teenager who makes minimum wage. Is the quality different from that of OPI or Essie at all?  I would love to have it, but I want to make sure that's it's worth the splurge before I spend my money on it.

I have a huge collectiion of regular Sephora by OPI nail polish but like the shellac polish. Can I use the UV lamp on a regular polish to make it last a bit longer? I usually have a girls night on the weekend with my daughter so we do our nails almost once a week but would like to make it for a week at least without them regular polish chipping after 2 days.

Q. Nail polish coming off in sheets
Ok, I think this is weird, I know it's never happened to me or any of my friends before, but my nail polish is coming of in a layer.  It is not chipping at all. It's just that one day I'll look down and the whole nail's polish will be gone.  and it's always one of the pointer finger's.  It doesn't make a difference if I use a base coat or not. I have been using Konad polish b/c I've been stamping my nails with Konad stamps, which do seem to work better with their polish. Any experiences?

Q. Best Almost Black Red Nail Polish With Glitter?
I was wondering if anyone could suggest to me an almost black red nail polish that contains some glitter. There was this color that I loved from Forever 21 that has been discontinued (it was called Wine), and they no longer sell anything like it. It was an extremely dark red with purplish undertones and glitter.   Thank you to anyone who has any suggestions!

Q. Can anyone recommend a good opaque white nail polish?
Hi everyone!   I am on a quest for a great white nail polish. I want to use it as both a base coat under sheer polishes or just as a base for nail art. I'm open to pretty much any brand (doesn't need to be carried at Sephora)   I'm looking for a polish that is...   1. Completely opaque with only 1 or 2 light coats 2. Streak free 3. Not goopy/ overly thick-- the white polish I tried was extremely thick and would not apply evenly. Definitely not a good look! 4. No DBP, toluene, and formaldehyde   The only white polish I've tried is OPI for Sephora-- White Hot (streaky, goopy, requires many coats)     Thank you so much for your help!! <3

Q. Nail Magic
Hi Ladies. I just wanted to tell you about a product I've been using for the last two weeks to help grow my nails out and to help strengthen them. It is called Nail Magic Hardener and Conditioner and I picked it up from Sally's Beaty Supply for $7.99 with my card. Without the card, it is around $8.99 depending on where you live. It is perfect for girls like me who have thin, soft, weak, brittle nails that peel like crazy or who bite their nails also. It strengthens, thickens, and conditions nails so they grow long and beautiful. On the box it says that in 8 weeks you will have long beautiful nails. So far I've only had peeling on my thumbs which is good because I usually get peels on my middle, index and thumb fingers. I read and watched reviews on it to see if it worked and a lot of the reviews said that it works wonders. Some of the reviewers also said that when they applied the product to their nails the first few times, it felt like their nails were burning and their fingers swelled up pretty badly. I did not have any reactions to it. It also smells heavily of chemicals which is good because it prevents biting. Essie Grow Stronger also works the same way too. I'm liking the results of the Nail Magic. I use it twice a week (Sundays and Wednesdays) just like the instructions say. I also use it as a base coat when I paint my nails and it works well.   For some reason my computer won't let me post the pictures of my nail growth here.  I have pictures on my instagram of my nails of how they are doing with this product if you want to see. My instagram username is the same as my username here. I recommend reading/watching reviews before buying this product. If you decide to try this product and it doesn't work for you, you can always return it and use Essie Grow Stronger which is less harsh but has the same results.  I really like this product and the results so check it out if you're looking for something to help grow your nails!

Q. Breast Cancer Awareness Nails
This didn't exactly come out as I wanted, but I did learn a lesson from it: Chunky glitter polish is NOT for detailed work lol.         It was hard to capture all four of the pinks I sponged on to my nails, but they are there.  That's one reason why my cuticles are a bit messy, but it came off in the shower lol.  Here's what I used (even though it's hard to tel):     Bridge the Ridge Base Coat China Glaze White on White Orly Cotton Candy OPI If You Moust, You Moust OPI A-Rose from the Dead OPI Pink Friday       Rhinestones (love rhinestones!   ) China Glaze Material Girl  (aka pain in the butt for detail work) LA Colors Art Deco in Silver Glitter  (glitter that is formulated for art, and it only cost me a buck at Dollar General lol)     Although it's kinda hard to tell in the picture, the colors are sponged on together randomly with a makeup sponge.  Kind of like the effect people do to their walls.  I still miss my long nails, but I've already noticed some growth!

Q. OPI Rally Pretty Pink Dupe
Hi Ladies! I found a dupe of a limited edition nail polish that is no longer available in stores! I think it could be worn as an all year round color but I'm loving it for fall. The limited edition nail polish is called OPI Rally Pretty Pink which was part of the Serena Williams Glam Slam 2011 collection. It is a rosy pink-mauve base with tons of gold glass glitter flecks. Depending on the lighting it can look gold, purple, rosy pink, mauve, or light pink. It was sold in a duo pack with a red Shatter and was very popular due to the fact no one had seen anything like it. I found a dupe that is a color in Orly's permanent range. It is called Ingenue. My friend has RPP and I couldn't find it anywhere. So I went to Sally's and I spotted something that looked like it on the Orly rack. I swore I saw something like it before but I did not know where. I didn't have that color in my collection. So I bought it. So my friend came over and she brought RPP with her and then I realized that Ingenue looked exactly like Rally Pretty Pink in the bottle. We compared them and I saw that Ingenue has a teeny bit more mauve in it but other than that they looked exactly alike! I didn't take any pictures but there are pictures below. You can find Ingenue at Sally's Beauty Supply. Zoya Faye is also a dupe for Rally Pretty Pink.       Rally Pretty on the left and Ingenue on the right   Picture is Credited to:

Q. Nail art set
Has anyone used the "nail art set" yet?  I just purchased mine. I already owned Orly brand art brush (but that's all it was...a brush without the other tools).  I bought the three pack nail buffer too.  It's actually better at filing than my other sephora file.  I need to remove the ridges that I see on my nails.  The only other task is to figure out if I really need to touch the cuticles.  I now know why the manicure is so great.  I don't really appreciate having to work on filing my right hand's nails with my left hand.  Not fun!  (I'm right handed).  Anyway, the shine left after the fourth step is great!  Back to the original question.  If anyone has pictures of nails  Ughmm...  @Kimmie   please share.  I'd love to see a few looks you created with the marbling tool and the dotting tool.    I'm going to try a look or two.  One of the looks that inspired me to create dots came from Pinterest.  It was a gray background with pretty dots.        Nail art set from Sephora:       Here's the nail art I created using the set.      I used NARS base coat, Sephora by OPI in A-ha! Moment, Zoya Freja, Sephora M21, Chanel in 461 Blue Satin and OPI top coat.

Q. Squared, Squoval or Round Nails?
Hi! how do you ladies and gents shape your nails? I love squaring off my nails. I think they look nice, clean and professional. My nails naturally grow rounded and since I have long bony spider fingers, rounded nails make them look inhuman and I've accidentally cut people with them . Squoval nails I sometimes do if I want a change in nail shape. If I want to go back to square nails I can just file them back

What do you prefer? Matte or glossy nails?  I like to put a glossy top coat on my nails most of the time but lately I've been rocking matte nails. I just really like the look of them. I always use a cream polish when I use a matte topcoat because I personally think it looks better. Q. Rainbow Gradient for the End of Summer
With the summer nearing its end, I decided to let the bright colors go out with a bang.  However, I probably will wear brights from time to time lol.  I also tried out a different graident technique.  I usually work with one color at a time to build it up, but this time I applied all three colors to the sponge and worked with it from there.  Since this was a bit of an experiment, the blue shade stained my cuticles and skin.  Talk about a stubborn shade!  Oh well, the experiment was fun after that day I had at school (I did this on Friday).         In order to shorten the process since I was working with neons, I applied a base color of China Glaze White on White.  The colors I used were my OPI Nicki Minaj minis, which I absolutely LOVE!!!  The colors are Fly (blue), Did It On 'Em (yellow-green), and Pink Friday (pink, I've bought a full size of it now lol).  I still used the wedge makeup sponges, and I went over each nail about 3 times until it popped enough.  I've been using a different top coat lately.  It's the Out the Door topcoat from Sally's.  My Seche Vite was getting gloopy, so it was time for a new one lol.
