What nail polish would go well with red lipstick?

What nail polish would go well with red lipstick?

I have fair skin, medium brown hair and blue eyes. Im planning this for a christmas look to wear in school. The rest of my makeup will probably be plain and neutral.

The reason I ask is that Im going to sephora this weekend and this will probably be it for mall shopping.

Also, any suggestions for the rest of the makeup? I have a look in mind but any suggestions are welcome.

Thank all of you!

I have some suggestions! If you are doing red lips then you should go natural on the rest of your makeup (champagne-colored eyeshadow, black eyeliner, and light blush). For nail polish, you should definitely go for a sparkly red color! One year for Christmas I got my nails painted a sparkly red color and I loved it!

Hope these suggestions help! :smileyvery-happy:

Hi berniebeauty!

You know what my favorite part about red lipstick is? It's that you can keep everything else a bit more muted and neutral but nearly ANY shade of polish will look great! I personally like dark brown or black shades, or silvers and golds with red lips.

There are lots of great colors to wear with red lipstick.  You could match your nails to your lips and go with red or match the color of jewelry you do (either silver or gold).

Some of my favorites are:

Be-Claus I said So (either alone or on top of And a Cherry On Top)

Be-Claus I Said So

Flurry Up (cool on top of a neutral color or red or as a French tip)

Flurry Up

Only Gold For Me (same application tips as Flurry Up)

Already Famous ( a cool pewter shimmer color that would look awesome)

Already Famous

Good Tidings We Bling (for an all out Christmas spirited look!  The base is more black than clear, so it comes out darker)

Or if you are into the Blasted look, do a red with gold glitter Blasted on top for a cool effect

This set has many of the options I suggested here if you can't decide and don't want to spend a fortune!:smileywink:

Happy Holidays,

xoxo
