Nail polish for business woman
What is a good color for a fingernail polish to wear for me? I work in an office and am in contact with the public on a constant basis. I have fair skin, and would like to wear fun colors at work. ![]()

Hey!
I know sometimes that offices don't appreciate "trendy" colours (I hate that rule!) but as someone with fair skin, I've found that Essie's Vanity Fair works really well to create a nice, clean look. It's a very light pink, but the undertones are beautiful and if it chips you can barely tell! Essie's Mademoiselle is also great, but I find it a little too "pinky" for me as I am very pale.
I hope this helps!

Hi, since you did specify you are a business person, I would recommend, along with the pink or natural shades suggested, a classic red always works. I am in HR and have interviewed quite a bit, and in my opinion, you can't go wrong with the classics!

Well although it kind of depends on the length of your nails, you still want to keep your look simple.
If you wear your nails short I would suggest dark colors that are bit warmer like OPI's Lincoln Park After Dark or some of the colors offered by OPI for Sephora like:
- My Personal Serpent
- Mr. Right Now
- Opening Night
- On Stage
- Caffeine FX
- I'm With Brad
- Dark Room

Some brighter and lighter colors that might work:
From Nails Inc.
- Belgrave Place
- Bruton Place
- Cadogan Square
- Foubert's Place
- Lowndes Square
- Piccadilly Circus
- St. James
- St. John's Wood

I hope this helps!

Try using a light pale pastel color, that is really in for summer. The light nail color makes you look like you have more of a tan then you normally would. For some fun nail design, try using
Sephora: SEPHORA by OPI Chic Print for Nails: Nail Polish

these spesific designs are a bit more work appropriate then the animal prints

also, a glitter coat to any polish you already have can give it a new look

Hi, cutiepatootie. I think that any light shade of polish is office appropriate. If you use light, pastel colors and neutral colors, you should be appropriate in any office setting. Pastels can be fun without being unprofessional. OPI for Sephora brand polish comes in an amazing array of shades which you can find here: http://www.sephora.com/browse/product.jhtml?id=P21
Hope this helps!
Have a great day!

well a french manicure would be perfect! But if you wnt something more fun, a silver shimmer top coat is very fun but can still be looked at as sophisticated enough for work! I would suggest Sephora by O.P.I sparkle me silver top coat (exclusive).
Hope this helped! ![]()

[ Edited ]Hi Cutiepatootie,
Great answers everyone!
I would love having a fun (but office appropriate) polish when I am work because its fun to look at the pretty shade when you are typing.
I would recommend that you try the Sephora by OPI What's Your Poison? (opaque cranberry red with chunky glitter), Looks Like Rain Dear (opaque gold with fine and chunky iridescent glitter) and Don't Bite (opaque soft purple with fine holographic glitter). I hope you find these suggestions helpful!

[ Edited ]A new favorite of mine has been the mademoiselle collection from Essie. It is made up of baby pinks that will complement bracelets and jewelry. Also, a perfect "shatter" effect you might want to try is a base of dark/medium purple and silver shatter. The effects are playful yet studious. Any darker reds or blues are fine, but the best color in this case is a French manicure! You can use the Essie Mademoiselle for this too, for a variation on classics. Hope this helps!![]()
