Colored nails with a black prom dress!?

I badly need a pop of color to my prom outfit - my dress and shoes are both black and my jewelry is silver w/rhinestones. It's very pretty and sophisticated and everything, but it's still PROM so I need to add some fun to the outfit!! I was thinking about turquoise or purple as an accent color... would it be weird to have turquoise nails with my black dress? If I do that, should I add something else to the outfit to match that turquoise? Thank you!

I think you should go with red! It would look very elegant and at the same time it will give you the pop of color you need. It would look wonderful if you go with a red lipstick that is the same shade as your nailpolish! You can even have a hairstyle using a red flower as a hair accessory to add more red to your look.
