Hey there - I turn 33 in a few days so although I've been wearing makeup for a long time, I totally sympathize!
I've tried and loved the Laura Mercier lip balm. It's a little pricey but it was great. In fact, for natural looking makeup, I'd say that Laura Mercier in general is one of the superior brands, along with Bobbi Brown. Their foundations, powders, blush, and eye shadows are some of the best in quality and wide range of natural shades.
As for a natural pink eyeshadow, I like Benefit's Creaseless Cream Shadow/Liner in R.S.V.P. which they describe as a shimmery champagne but looks like a very pale shimmery pretty pink. It's super natural, so don't be afraid of the "shimmer." It's a cream shadow so you can just dip your finger into the post and lightly pat a small amount over your lid and blend with fingers. Super simple and easy - you don't even have to buy a brush. I like simple makeup routines so this is one of my fave products. Check it out here: http://www.sephora.com/browse/product.jhtml?id=P18

Urban Decay Eyeshadow is my favorite brand of eyeshadow and they have a few pink shades such as Cherry, SWF and Hotpants that you can find at: http://www.sephora.com/browse/product.jhtml;jsessi
To make your brown eyes really stand out, wear an eyeshadow that’s the opposite of your eye shade on the color spectrum. Brown eyes should be lined with a brown liner, not black—it’s softer yet still dramatic. Brown eyes can wear almost any combination of colors. However, some of the best shades for brown eyes are:
- cream / eggshell
- dark brown
- plum
- warm gold
- deep blue
- forest green
- deep grey
Urban Decay also has all of the above colors, too.
As far as lip colors go, I love the Buxom Big & Healthy Lip Balm. It has good color payoff and it's moisturizing and long-lasting, too. You can't go wrong with it. I think the color Copacabana would look great with your coloring as well as Waikki for a little extra pop of color.
I hope this helps you. ![]()

Hi to elaborate on officegal's comments re: Laura Mercier...I received a sample of her lip glace in "opal" and liked it so much I bought the full sized one. The color is a pretty iridescent pink and it tastes kinda like vanilla! Regarding your eye makeup, as you experiment with different colors in shadow and liner, you will quickly be able to tell what combos look the best on you without following any "rules"...have fun!
