To make your brown eyes really stand out, wear an eyeshadow that’s the opposite of your eye shade on the color spectrum. Brown eyes should be lined with a brown liner, not black—it’s softer yet still dramatic. Brown eyes can wear almost any combination of colors. However, some of the best shades for brown eyes are:
- cream / eggshell
- dark brown
- plum
- warm gold
- deep blue
- forest green
- deep grey
Urban Decay Eyeshadow is one of my favorite eyeshadows and it comes in the colors I listed above and many more. I think to match your orange dress, wearing bronze and gold eyeshadow would really make your eyes pop and you can find these shades at: http://sephora.com/browse/product.jhtml?id=P0241&c
Urban Decay has also come out with Stardust Eyeshadow which has a prismatic sparkle and comes in some really fun colors which you can find at: http://sephora.com/browse/product.jhtml?id=P254101
Orange lips are really popular this season and would look great with your dress. To get gorgeous orange lips that’ll definitely get everyone’s attention, use Make Up For Ever Rouge Artist Intense Lipstick in shade 40 which you can find at: http://sephora.com/browse/product.jhtml;jsessionid
Then top it off with Make Up For Ever Lab Shine Lip Gloss in the shade D20 which you can find at: http://sephora.com/browse/product.jhtml;jsessionid
I hope this helps you and have fun at your prom! ![]()

that's a beautiful combination you have there! I suggest you take a look at some of the looks Mila Kunis has been rocking lately as her coloring/eye/hair sounds similiar to yours. An eyeshadow she often wears is MAC's Club eyeshadow which is a beautiful duo-chrome (it starts off dark reddish brown and blends out kind of green). GORGEOUS.
With that eyeshadow you won't have to do much else, just apply a light peachy/coral color on your cheeks and lips and you're good to go!!
Here are some ideas for you

orange is such a pretty color! i think that you should do a light brown eyeshaow for the lid, then let it gradually get darker as it goes to the crese and use a highlight just under the brow. if this is not something interesting maybe you can go even lighter, use a very light tan shadow, and use a liquid eye liner to add the "wing" very simple, very elegant.

I have brown eyes and have never followed the "rule" of using brown eyeliner. I think you show experiment before your prom with black eyeliner (Nars has an awesome one) to see if you feel the look makes your eyes "pop". It's a special ocassion and you probably will want to go "all out'.
