hey! so i've been looking for a good foundation for a really long time and can't seem to find one. I've tried everything drugstore brands and high end brands, but they never seem to have the coverage that I want. I'm looking for a foundation that can't be seen by anyone i really want it to blend in with my skin. I also have acne scars and acne that I would want to cover up. Is there a foundation that can do all this for me?
Can anyone recommend a shade/color of the Buxom full-on lip polish that doesn't have glitter (or at least the glitter is very mild) AND isn't too neutral? *I have an olive complexion and a pink tint to my lips already. Thanks, in advance, for any suggestions!
Hey Beauties- We have ALOT of threads around here for Tom Ford products. I figured I'd start one thread where we can update each other on items as they come out or we see them available. For all my UK'ers, or people willing to pay for shipping from the UK, Harrods has Softcore and Nude Dip from the Fall collection available right now. Happy Shopping!
So I finally got this with my 500 points perk! Woot! I tried it out today to contour and brighten and highlight as well. But I guess cause Im semi new at all this highlight and contouring, my face was all red and you could see that I have LOTS of makeup on. So I ask, what is the first step before contouring and how do I get it to perfection? Yes, the steps are in the back of the box but I still dont understand it.
Has anyone tried products from StillGlamorus Cosmetics before? (I know glamorous isn't spelled correctly, btw, it's how the owner spells it.) I placed an order on May 2 from their web site for some pigments and haven't received a shipping confirmation or my order yet. I tried using their online Contact Us to ask for help and got no reply. I texted the number and the person responded pretty quickly asking for my name. Then I didn't hear anything else. I looked on the Facebook page for StillGlamorus today and noticed Kasey (the owner and YouTube beauty personality) had created an e-mail address to address concerns. But I'm really getting kinda pissed. I've paid money and have no product. And even if/when it does arrive, I have no idea what the quality will be like. Do any of you have experience with this brand?
I CANT FIND A GOOD FOUNDATION!!!!!!! I HAVE THE KAT VON D COLOR TATTOO FOUNDATION AND ITS OKAY WHEN IM JUST WEARING IT FOR MAYBE 4 HOURS. So I feel like i've tried almost every mascara out there, including those primers before the mascaras and nothing helps. I have really long lashes and it's great and I get complemented on them all the time with people asking me if they're real and what not. The problem is they are stick straight. They look great for the first few hours but after that it's game out. I can play with them to give them a little boost but who wants to keep going that. I curl them, I apply the Diorshow primer and I feel like i've used every mascara under the sun but i'm still open to suggestions so throw them at me. Ones to avoid because i've already used them Guerlain Maxi Lash, Urban Decay Perversion, Benefit They're Real, Too Faced Better Than Sex, Dior Overcurl, Diorshow, YSL Volume Effet Faux Cils, and too many drug store ones to name and one that I thought actually worked pretty well but flaked Also, lash curlers, does brand really matter? And why is it that sometime my lashes will curl the opposite direction, like out instead of back? It's also frustrating because I feel like one eye always curls perfect and other always sucks, kind of like eyeliner, it's the worst!
Hi everyone, I recently bought the Marc Jacobs Twinkle Pop in the shade Leila. I LOVE the color so so much, which is why I am hesitant about returning the product even though I've had some difficulty using it. Even if I do a few thin layers to build up color, it looks very patchy on the lids. The color is not smooth-it looks like a layer of sparkles with a light tint(even less than an hour after application) Does anyone have any tips to better use this product? It would be much appreciated! Thank you!
So I have tried so many different foundation over the past 2 weeks in hopes of finding my new Holy Grail one. I guess MUFE HD in 120 is my best match. Most people have a lighter face and darker neck/body, but due to my hyper pigmentation my face is darker, so the 120 evens everything out. I have been on an acne treatment which has dried my face out, so the HD is clinging to my dry patches regardless of what moisturizer, serum, primer I use. So then comes LM Moisturizing foundation in Bamboo Beige (which is nearly a perfect match to 120) i like the feel (or lack there of) my problem is, is that it says medium to full coverage and I am only getting the results of a tinted moisturizer. I use my beauty blender, which was suggested and the new primer that was suggested was MUFE equalizer 4.( i think it's the hydrating one) I have tried building, and am not getting any better results. I refuse to return this one, even though I feel like for $48 it's expensive and i don't think you get much product. So I would like to make this work, just need a suggestion for better coverage. I have been setting it lightly with the LM translucent loose powder. Thanks everyone
So, I'm somewhat new to this whole makeup thing. I'm 20 years old, with fair, combination-oily skin. My cheeks tend to be red and sensitive also. I'm wondering if anyone can suggest a foundation or bb cream for my skin, and also a light powder to finish it off. I've tried Clinique's almost powder and it seems to cake on my face, and shows every line. I'm looking for something that isn't extremely heavy on my face since it's almost summer. Also if you have any recommendations for a lip stain or lipstick that will stay put all day and not run, that would be great.
Hello beautiful ladies! I hope one of you is able to help me out with this question. So I know nothing about lip liners other than those from MAC. Now that I have run out of my beloved MAC Cork, I thought this was a good time to test other lip liner formulas. Can any of you tell me of a solid dupe for Cork? I'm super interested in seeing what other brands have to offer. Thank you!
Has anyone with rosacea used the Makeup Forever Face and Body foundation? It's very hot and humid where I live, and I am looking for a foundation that will even out my skin tone and will stay put in the heat. Thanks!!
So I don't wear much makeup besides mascara. I'm looking for a good moisturizer, since i'm starting to get fine lines around my mouth ,,, i think there called laughing lines. Anyways... I also want a good foundation, preferably a powder. I want to look as natural as possible. I dont want to look like i have makeup caked on my face... Any suggestions? I like my Bare Minerals powdered foundation, except I look too blan after, like i need some moisture to my face... plz help out... any suggestions are welcomed and appreciated
anyone know what color the oil free" bisque " spf 20 is laura mercier? in winter I use porcelain. nude is too yellow, blush is too pink. I have freckles and blue eyes and fair to light skin with pink and yellow and blue tones . I wondered if bisque might be good for when my face colors up a bit?
Hey all! I am looking for a good concealer to cover up ache without looking too dark. I am currently using bare minerals powder matte in fairly medium (C20). It's a good match but I have red spots and ache that stand out underneath. The sephora smoothing and brightening concealer in medium (06) is a perfect match when I blend it in but I am looking for something more substantial. Can someone recommend a good product to use?
ok so im interested in getting the giorgio armani luminous silk but my closest sephora is a jcp.. they dont have them and last time i got a foundation based on coloriq it was too light, so i was wondering any of you in the shade LIGHT MEDIUM SAND in TARTE or N30 in the COVERFX DROPS that could help me? im really interested in the giorgio but if you use the estee double wear id appreaciate recomendations!
I tried to attach a couple photos to my public Sephora review of this palette, because I couldn't find many pictures online, but they didn't attach correctly and Sephora wouldn't let me add them later. Lame. Anyway, here's the colors! No matte shades, although those 2 satin shades are close enough that they could be used as a transition/crease or liner without being TOO shimmery. Pigmentation, blendability, texture is all perfect, as can be expected with the nude artist shadows. Overall, I recommend this palette if you want to try a variety of the artist shades with a lower pricetag. I am bummed about the lack of finishes (I really wanted to try at least one matte shade), and I don't think the colors are extremely unique. My skin is approximately NW10-15, so I am very fair, but those two lightest shades are not going to get a ton of use for me, as they are fairly similar and I have other comparable colors, and I prefer a matte browbone highlight than something with that much shimmer. And the satin black is something I think everyone has at this point. The packaging is great. It's weighty, and the size is nice. (A square slightly smaller in length to an iphone 5, for reference.) 3.5 out of 5 stars, in my opinion. I would love to hear your thoughts!
Any ideas or tips on how to do eye makeup for big eyes? I have big eyes and my family members say that when I wear eye makeup I look scary and my eyes pop out even more. And they say that eyeliner makes me look like a witch. I don't want to look scary, I want to look cute. And I haven't found ANY makeup videos on YouTube for big eyes. Does anyone know anything on how to do eye makeup on big eyes?!
I know we've all talked about specific vloggers and YouTube gurus that we love, but I want to see which YouTubes inspire you! Post looks, tips, whatever! For those who don't know, you can click the little film strip along the top toolbar (3rd from the right) and paste a YouTube link which will then appear in your post. I flippin' love this video of Lisa Eldridge doing the quintessential Alexa Chung look on Alexa Chung.
My skin has a tendency to be very oily, while at the same time being extremely dry and flakey. What product would you recommend that I use? I have very pink undertones, and my foundation tends to look extremely flakey, and almost like I have fish scales by the end of the day. HELP PLEASE
These looks absolutely gorgeous! Simply stunning! I like them way more than UD Electric palette, but I don't know anything about these. Have anyone tried them? What are these neon pigments? What is the quality of these pretties, staying power, are they easy to blend? Any info on these beauties is welcome! I only know they are not FDA approved in US for use around immediate eye area. But they are approved in Europe. And they are available in a pressed palette or loose pigments. NecroNeon PhenomeNEON SFX Pressed Pigment Palette AlieNeon Makeup Palette
