So I buy minis of mascaras because even though I use my mascara almost every day I can't seem to use it up.....it's been 5 months now that I have had my mini benefit they're real and I still think it works just fine. I really want to try to use it up or at least wait till it dries out. Do I have to throw it away??
I have a few samples/palettes that require lip brushes for application. I bought the Sephora Collection Pro Lip Brush #81 (shown below), but I'm not a fan of it. Perhaps I don't know how to use it. Either way, I'm not getting the results I want. Anyone have a suggestion on a lip brush for dummies? It doesn't have to be from Sephora. I'd also be okay with someone telling me exactly how to use a lip brush.
Whats the best way to apply cream highlighter/blush over liquid foundation w/o affecting the makeup beneath it? I just purchased the Illamasqua gleam cream in aurora and I love it! My only issue with it so far is the correct way to apply it without streaking/rubbing off my liquid foundation beneath it?
Are NARS blushes overrated? Will the color 'Orgasm' show up on my skin tone which is medium/tan? Good for oily skin? Also someone told me that Elf's Candid Coral is a good alternative for NARS Orgasm because it cost less, anyone else agree or know anything about Elf's blushes? Sorry I'm just a little hesitant to buy NARS. But thank you to anyone that replies(:
When I apply lipgloss or lipstick, it tends to not last throughout the day. Is there something people apply before you put on your lip gloss to make it last all day? Do you apply concealer or lip primer or something? Can you apply regular concealer to your lips and then apply the gloss?
I went to sephora and matched my skin tone to the perfect foundation from MAKEUP FOREVER 170 ... what is the skin code for medium glow skin tone? is 3y01? I would like to know any other matches for my skin tone
Hi. I'm fairly new to the whole make up community. I took a big leap a few weeks ago by ordering a travel size MUFE primer, liquid foundation and setting powder set. However, I'm not impressed with the foundation's coverage. I have light skin with olive undertones. My skin is combination skin, though I am more on the oily side. I have large pores and my cheeks and nose have a tendnecy to get very red. I'm not very knowledgable, so I'm looking for someone to help me figure out a few products I could buy to help me out. I would say I'm looking for full coverage, but I do live in the south where it is blistering hot and am scared my make up will sweat off. What do you suggest for me? I am mainly looking for suggestions for liquid and powder foundations, though I'm also looking for a good concealer (I have very dark circles under my eyes), primer and a bronzer. Any suggestions or advice that you could give me would be greatly appreciated.
Ok guys i honestly dont know what to do about my makeup. I previously posted a question about what makeup i should be wearing and the generous contributions helped, but something still looks a bit off. Ok so i will try to go in depth in my looks for all of you guys who actually know what ur doing and would be kind enough to help me. Ok so starting with the eyes. I have large, brown, prominent eyes with a lot of lid space. I personally think this makes me look tired all the time. Should i line both the top and bottom? can i use black eyeliner? can i make it look like my eyes are deeper set or dont have so much lid space? Next...skin. i guess i have alright skin. It's lightish mediumish. I get a little bit oily on my chin and nose, have slight redness by my nose, and get occasional small breakouts. Finally, lips. They usually have a pinkish tint and are a medium size. Also, i have brown hair and would like to keep my makeup natural to pretty natural looking.Thx a billion for any help i receive!!! You dont know how much just the littlest bit of assistance willn help me!!!! Thx sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much!!!!
I am looking for a new foundation to try out, I've always used drugstore brands, besides a time I used Clinique but didn't feel it was much better than what I could find for a fourth the price. I am looking for that airbrushed flawless look, with glow! (everyones dream, right?) I have fine lines in my forehead that I haven't been able to find a good foundation to cover, as well as the occasional blemish. My skin is normal-dry. With so many products its hard to decide which to put my money into and I want it to truly be great with covering fine lines, glow, and long lasting!
Ok, so not scared per se, but this is for people who want to wear lip stick but are having a hard time adjusting to it. I for one would love to get more into wearing things beyond lip balm (as I am so notorious for doing). But its hard! Those of us who are used to naked lips need support and encouragement as we foray into this wide world of color and stuff... Look here is some cuteness for inspiration. I also have the added problem of having lip rings (I have what is apparently called a "spider bite" style piercing which is two rings close together.) It makes it even harder not to make a complete mess.
I've been pondering purchasing a non-prescription lash enhancer, specifically the PTR and Tarte versions, but they're pretty pricey. Has anyone tried one of these, or any others? If so, what was your experience? Thanks!
Just ran into these babies while browsing dermstore. Anyone here a Vincent Longo fan? I've been curious about his stuff but it's hard to come by. The eyeshadows seemed pretty nice when I swatched some at Nordstroms. These sets are so tempting and appear to be on sale today!
I've never been somewhere that someone applies makeup to my face, so Sephora in JCP just opened up next to me and suppppper excited since I don't have to travel more than an hour away to one anymore! That said, I'm going tomorrow for their Too Faced : Joy to the Girls event for BIs. WOOHOOOO!!! So is it proper to go bare faced or should I wear atleast my face makeup (foundation / powder)? I mean I don't want to waste my personal product nor do I want to look like a zombie walking in there. lol
I've been using the Lingerie de peau, and I find that there's not many foundations out there that matches up.. but unfortunately, my color is sold out, and I wanted to buy a few foundations this holiday season.. Has anyone tried the parure de lumiere? I know its supposed to be for dry skin, but I've read that some people think its too "matte" or "dry"for their skin. I have combination skin, and is looking for a few foundations to use in the summer when I tend to be a bit oilier but not a full blown oily skin
Im curious what are your favorite transfer-proof or at least "less transferring" lipstick. My husband has been getting a little weird when I wear dark lipcolor (admittedly since I ruined one of his favorite hoodie) LOL
I am thinking about getting an at home gel polish manicure set - it must have a curing light & the manicure to last as long as possible. I live in the country & sometimes going to the nail salon is inconvenient (it's a diff place than my hair salon). I appreciate your recommendations.
I was totally distracted by the new nail polish display at my Sephora. I have good, strong nails and I polish them now and then with a very light beigey-pink (probably meant for French manicures). I don't put too much thought into them. I started playing with the nude samples, but I couldn't figure out what the "rule" was for them. Even with the plastic tester sheets, I found it hard to figure out what color looked good. Are nude nails supposed to match your skin color, be lighter, or darker?
Not being a pro at makeup or anything, I've been using the same drugstore brushes for a while, and only applicators for eyeshadows. I want to upgrade to a good but not extremely expensive beginners brush set, and I was wondering if anyone had recommendations? I had my eye on the Too Faced Teddy Bear brush set for a while, but some of the reviewers said it didn't pick up product well. I'm now considering the Sephora Holiday Light Show brushe set, but if anyone has any suggestions (or agree that it would be a good choice!), please share! Thank you so much lovelies <3
Hi everyone, I have a darker mouth area compared to the rest of my face. It's not super dark, but it is noticeable. For reference, I am NC 20-25 and my mouth area is about NC 35. If you guys have any idea on how to conceal this and what products would be helpful, please let me know. Thanks!
Does anybody know the American name for the eyeshadow 026 GOLDEN MAHOGANY? I know that the names are different in different contries. http://www.makeup4all.com/wp-content/uploads//2012 /01/LOreal-Color-Infaillible-Eye-Shadows-in-026-Go ...
Do any of you have MAC's Grey Friday lipstick? It was last year's Black Friday release. If you have it and don't want it, I'm interested in buying it. At a reasonable price of course. I can't believe I didn't know about it. Now that I do I want it and have lost many auctions on ebay trying to get it... that or sellers aren't shipping to Canada... and well I am not willing to spend 70$ + when it sold for 15$. I guess it's not a big deal if I don't get it but thought I'd ask here before I stop looking Thanks!
