Hi, all! I'm new to the Sephora community and was hoping to pick your brain on some makeup advice. I've been looking at all-matte eyeshadow palettes, and I was wondering if there are any that offer some different colors. I've seen many neutral/nude palettes, but I can't seem to find ones with a wider range of shades. I'm looking for something with good pigmentation in kind of jewel-ish tones...? Particularly one that includes darker blue(s), green(s), and purple(s), like the old Urban Decay Smoked Palette--but in matte rather than shimmer. The only one I've seen that kind of fits is the Viseart Dark Matte Palette...but it's a little expensive for my first foray into mattes, when I don't know if I love them yet. Can anyone recommend something at a slightly lower price point? I'm not sure if that even exists, but I thought you all would be my best bet if it does! I'm totally open, as far lesser known brands and such. Thank you, I really appreciate your help! (Here's a photo of the Smoked palette, for reference)
I need help finding a foundation for everyday use. I have tried dozens and can not find the right one. I have read that for acne prone skin to try a tinted moisturizer but did not like the coverage it gave me. Everything I try either breaks me out or is not enough coverage. Help please!!
Hey guys! I have the Urban Decay Naked 2 palette and the Too Faced Le Grand Chateau palette. I want to create sort of a bold look with red lips and I'm not sure what to use. What color eyeliner and eyeshadows should I use, and what kind of wing?
Hi everyone! I was hoping you all could give me some recommendations for a good medium coverage, quick to apply, every day foundation. For days when I need/want more coverage I use Make Up For Ever Mat Velvet+ which I love! For days when I have less time or want less coverage I'm currently using Smashbox Camera Ready BB Cream. I love the ease with which it can be applied but I'd like a bit more coverage as well as more help in controlling oil. I have very pale skin which has made foundation shopping difficult in the past (MUFE MV #15). It seems like so many lines just don't offer shades light enough for my skin tone. I have combination skin that tends to get pretty oily on my nose and chin. Also, I use the Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer and, even though its expensive, I haven't found anything that works better. Thanks in advance for any recommendations!
I am looking for a new foundation to purchase, unfortunately I don't exactly know my skin tone because I don't have any local Sephora stores. Currently I am using Dior star fluid foundation in the color 010 ivory. I was wondering what my color would be in the Kat Von D Lock it foundation and the Giorgi Armani Luminous silk foundation. Thanks!
Currently on the search for a new blush - I've been using Nars Orgasm for the longest time and now that I'm almost out of it, I would love to give another brand a chance. (For reference, I have light-medium skin with yellow undertones). What are your favorite/holy-grail/go-to blushes?
Hi. I am trying to order a foundation. I am a medium tan sand in the Rainforest of the Sea and for the original sephora collection I am 30 medium sand but I wear loose power on the sephora makeup forever a pink honey. Any recommendations for HD forever shade I should order?
Hello everyone! I'm currently trying to find a new foundation. Right now I use the MUFE Water Blend in y305, but I started to have problem with my skin like acne (it's driving me insane). So I need a foundation that has more coverage than that maybe more like a medium coverage but something light and moisturizing like I don't feel it's foundation with a natural/radiant/dewy finish. I was looking at the Too Faced BTW, the MUFE Ultra HD, Smashbox studio skin or NARS sheer Glow. Do you have any recommandation? I need help please!
Hi all! I'm a lovely Canadian lady who would really love to get my hands on the new Lorac Mega Pro 3. But it's not available in Canada and I cannot order it from Ulta. Would an amazing American beauty addict be willing to pick one up for me? Of course, I pay the palette and shipping to my (apparently) very distant country! TIA!
hello, my name is Nicaury. now, my questions are, I'm dark, but not VERY dark, more like a milk chocolate, caramel type of dark, my foundation shade is 310 in the fit me foundation, and my problem is that the highlighters I use are from drugstores and they always show up very light on my face, they fade as well and it has a lot of fall out. I do not have money to buy my own make up, I do not have a job and I have a huge dream and goal of having my own room. which highlighter would you recommend for someone that's the same skin tone as mine? how to I apply for a job at sephora? how to I create a resume even though I am not experienced at make up? the way I learned was by watching make up videos and teaching myself. thank you for your time.
Hi. I have heard so much positive about the Kat Von D Lock it Foundation, and i really ant to buy it.But i have a problem. I don`t live anywhere near a store where i can buy it, and i don't know which colour that fits my skin tone I use Mac studio sculpt foundation spf 15 in shade NC20. Maybe by knowing this, you guys can find the right colour for me from Kat Von D? <3
Hi All! This is probably a tl;dr, but here's the set-up: I have very fair, middle-aged skin and have rosacea. The derm has me use Metro cream in the morning after washing my face and another product in the evening after washing my face. I have an oily t-zone and the rest is normal and not dry, so I don't wear moisturizer over the Metro. I stick to oil-free products because my skin doesn't respond well to products with oil. I generally use a primer over the Metro cream and then do one of two things: 1. one primer (Hourglass mineral primer) or two primers (Hourglass + Benefit Pore Professional), dab on Estee Lauder Doublewear concealer, set with a light dusting of Shiseido loose powder, then spray on UD setting spray; OR 2. blend a bb-cream (too many to name) or foundation (Maybelline Fit Me or YSL Touche Eclat Radiance Awakening Foundation) over a primer, dab on concealer, set with loose powder, then spray on setting spray. Here's the issue and it's driving me wild: Every concealer, primer, every bb cream, and every foundation I have tried - drugstore and higher end - slides off my face after 2 hours. The makeup will be creased into my smile lines and resisting around my nose and foreheads so that it doesn't look uniform and highlights the pores. It doesn't matter what combination of products I use: same scary result. Bah! I wear face makeup to have a uniform canvas, to cover red spots and melasma here and there, and to hide large pores. I need to look professional and polished, but not overly made up. I've searched the Sephora boards and the web for recommendations for this particular issue, but everything I have found deals with either covering breakouts, hiding flushing, or overcoming a hot face. Happily those are not my issues. I welcome any help to finding a combination of makeup products that will stay put over Metro cream!! Thank you!
