First, What are the steps to a flawless face? Like...What are the steps..As in Moisturize, Prime..Foundation...Concealer..Setting powder.. or what? I need the full details as when to apply what. My next question, I know good skin is KEY but there are a few people I know who ALWAYS have flawless application on their clients. The smoothing filter on some Apps, that's what it looks like but it's not an app as I've seen videos. What products give that smooth skin look? I can never get it...Is there a certain technique?
So right when I finally decide to buy this set of velvet lipsticks, the collection called mindset, it disappears from the website. I can see it in my loves on the app but when I click on it it says the product does not exist. What the heck? Anyone know what's going on?
I have normal/combination skin with normal cheeks and nose, dry mouth and eye area, and an oily forehead. But whenever I wear foundation, it completely dries out my face (especially my cheeks, mouth area, and eye area) and makes it feel really tight. I make sure to layer my skincare and put on moisturizer underneath, but I still feel dry. So far I've tried the Smashbox bb cream, Smashbox bb water, Urban Decay Naked Skin Foundation, and the Custom Cover fx drops mixed with the Maybelline blur and smooth primer (which I wear under all my foundations). Does anyone have any good hydrating primers or makeup tricks that could help with this? Or do you have any suggestions on lightweight light-medium coverage foundations I could try (preferably $50 and under with a decent shade range; I have dark skin)?
Has anyone especially women of color tried the ABH Stick Foundation? It's reasonably priced so I was considering giving it a try but was interested in some reviews of how it holds up, blends, color matches, etc.
How do I fill in my eyebrows? I am a 14 year old and I wax my eyebrows once every 2 months. One time I went to a different lady and she waxed them way to thin and it didn't fit me very well. Now they no longer grow back how I had it and now my eyebrows are uneven. My eyebrows are very dark so it is hard for me to fill it in (to make them thicker) with what I have. Any tips?
If you've had your own lipstick made at BITE's lip lab, I was wondering if it was worth the $55 and what the process was like. How long did it take and what was the consultation like? Would love to hear about your experiences! <3
Hey guys, I'm a huge fan of Black Moon Cosmetics liquid lipsticks and this gorgeous shade was just previewed on their instagram. I'm very into different and unique makeup and I think this shade is absolutely beautiful! Does anyone have any recommendations for a lip liner for this shade? BM says it's a very pale nude with a bit of lilac which I agree with; I don't want to risk using a super pale liquid lip without a lip liner but I will if I have to! I apologize in advance for the insta-only image, if it was released already I'd try to include swatches!
Hey guys, So I'm 23 years old, and I have really dark girls under my eyes from genetics and fine lines. Ive been struggling with this for so long. I have bought so many products to treat it but nothing seems to work, I am trying to find the most natural concealer and one that will cover up but not like I have much on. I am darker toned, Olive undertone. Some people cake on their make up and you cant even tell they have any one! if i didn't have such dark girls i wouldn't wear any makeup.. well as much as i feel like i have to. please help! i am on the left my mother is the one with sunglasses on. You can see the lines under my eyes when i smile its so irritating to me that i look so much older than i am! (p.s i have tones of concealer on in this picture)
I have used the Naked SkinColor Correcting Fluid in Peach Color and I liked it. Recently I purchased a Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer in Custard and a Sephora Bright Future Color Corrector in Peach. Now the Sephora Corrector looks more yellow that Peach and I have a lot of veins under my eye. Don't want anything heavy looking but more of a natural look. Any suggestions?
I have purchased the Biscotti color but I believe it is too dark on me. Anything of that type of color (dirty Pink) from that same line but a little lighter? Maybe it is the matte finish that is throwing me off :/
Looking for the correct shade of Dior air flash spray for my skin. I use make up forever profinish powder foundation -I don't use it wet, apply it dry- 127. The sephora closest to my home, 2 hours away, doesn't carry Dior. I am hoping to buy online, with some help.
I made this thread so that those that were unable to get their hands on it can collaborate together to discuss when it will go back in stock on Ulta (if it will go back in stock) or if there are other places you are able to pick it up.
So I love Bite Beauty lipsticks..but for some reason they don't go on my lips smoothly. I have fresh lip scrub...but I don't use it often. Should I start using it once or twice a week? Anything else? Any recommendations?
I've been using Drunk Elephant's entire line for months now, and am in L O V E. I've never found better skincare. The only one I'm less than ecstatic with is the Shaba eye serum- I haven't really noticed any difference at all, and when the price point is that high, you want results. I was just wondering if anyone had compared DE's eye cream to others of it's caliber, like Sunday Riley's, or had suggestions for alternatives. I'm looking to avoid the usuals, parabens, sulfates, fragrance, etc.
I am very fair skinned with pink undertones and dark, burgundy red hair. I personally don't care for pink lip color on me, but what would be the best shade of this product to try? I do need some color to keep from looking completely washed out, I just don't care for fuchsia shades of pink. Any suggestions?
Hey everyone, I have a really in-depth question. I'm open to all suggestions but I'll warn you - I feel like I've tried just about everything, so please read it all before replying if you so choose to I have combination skin. My face is dry on the upper part of my forehead, my jawline, and some parts of my cheeks. It is oily in my T zone extending out to my temples. Though I grew up with really bad breakouts, I figured out they were due to dairy, so since I've cut that out, I no longer have acne. What I do have: -very, very large pores -occasional clusters of semi-noticeable blackheads -redness/uneven skin tone Here is my issue: I cannot figure out a primer and foundation combination that does not ball up or separate within a few hours. In fact, every single time I use a primer - no matter what kind it is - under a foundation - no matter what kind it is - my foundation begins to lift off my skin, and should I touch my face, even lightly, my foundation moves. It is so liquidy and separated that it looks bad - even from a distance. So you might be thinking "well then just don't use a primer, duh." And I tried that, but my makeup didn't last but a couple of hours when just sitting on my skin. Another thing worth mentioning is that when I moisturize before using a primer - no matter whether I let it dry completely or allow it to be tacky when applying the primer on top - the problem was got way worse. Here are the primers I've tried: -MAC Prep and Prime -NYX Angel Veil -Benefit Porefessional -Too Faced Rx Hangover Primer -NARS Light Optimizing Primer -Smashbox Photo Finish Primer (the clear one) -Becca Backlight Primer -Tarte Timeless Smoothing Primer Foundations I've tried: -Too Faced Born This Way -MAC Studio Fix Fluid -Urban Decay Naked Skin One and Done -Bare Minerals Original Foundation (using the primer that is supposed to go with it) -Makeup Forever Ultra HD Foundation -L'Oreal Paris Pro Matte and Pro Glo Foundation As I said, no matter what combination of primer and foundation I tried, the result was always the same: balling up and separating. I am also using setting powders (RCMA no color, Laura Mercier translucent powder, ABH banana setting powder (from contour palette), NYX loose setting powder, etc etc. I simply want a primer to work because I want that pore-blurring effect that they can give. I of course get this result when I'm first applying the primer, but then after an hour or two of having applied foundation, it looks a hot mess. What I currently do: I saw a tip on YouTube from Wayne Goss saying to mix a drop of oil or serum in with your foundation, so I began doing that - on my cleansed, toned, but not moisturized face - and my foundation goes on really nice. It looks the best it's looked so far, and actually lasts a LONG time (which I know is surprising, especially to me, since my face carries so much oil in certain areas), but it does not blur the pores like a primer does. If you have any suggestions at all, seriously ANY, I would greatly appreciate them. <3
