How to avoid matte foundation from looking flaky and dry on skin?
Hello everyone! I recently purchased a matte foundation palette (Ben Nye to be specific), since I am starting out on my makeup artist career. I had such high expectations from this product! When I tried it on myself last night, it looked TERRIBLY bad. I was SO disappointed, and still feel like this. It looked VERY dry on my skin, it looked cakey, was hard to blend...just terrible. I'm only sorry I spent so much $ on this product. Any recommendations on how to make it smoother rather than dry, or any other foundation recommendations for all skin types?   HELP!

How old is too old when it comes to eyeliner...?
So recently I've been thinking about how old some of my eyeliners are becoming - namely, the 24/7 liner set Urban Decay released for their 15th Anniversary 5 years ago. (Hard to believe it's been that long!) Some of the liners in this set have barely been touched; it's hard to use up 15 full size liners when you have lots of other makeup that needs love too! I'm just wondering if it's completely disgusting to use pencil liners that are 5 years old? Obviously, I can sharpen them down to fresh points, but are there ingredients that may have gone "bad" in them? I know that the texture of the pencils will more than likely not be the same as when they were new and they won't be as soft, but as long as it's safe to use as liner I don't really mind...

Back to School makeup?
I need help finding a powder/bb cream/foundation for school!   I'm fair with combo-oily skin (oily in t-zone, normal/dry with KP on cheeks). I want something that feels lightweight but lasts all day with my crazy skin. I also want something that will be natural looking---I stick to light neutral looks for everyday occasions, and my school allows only modest makeup (no neon yellow eyeshadow or black lipstick). As far as acne, I have very minor blemishes/blackheads, but redness is somewhat of a concern for me, mostly on my cheeks.   I'd appreciate recommendations on face products (foundations, primers, concealers, powders, etc.) from Sephora, the drugstore, MAC, or even other stores! I just want something comfortable and nice-looking

Lip shades for fair skin with dark lips? Don't want to be washed out
I'm in search of a go to lip gloss that isn't too light for me. I have fair skin with neutral to pink undertones, medium brown hair, and light blue eyes. All the nudes I seem to pick wash me out. For example, Marc Jacobs lip gloss in moonglow is too pale for my lips (my lips are very pigmented). The color washes me out. Help!

ABH Concealer shade recommendation for pale-**bleep** girl with neutral skin?
I have two tones in my face. The more prominent one is that pale olive colour on my cheeks. Everything looks too orange or pink on me. What would be best for me. Shade 1 or 1.5? I'm not ghostly white btw. But pretty pale.   For reference, NC15 is my shade in Mac Prolongwear concealer and I consider it a little light for my skin. But I rather light than too dark. Which NC20 is.

I need help cleaning my Sephora Luxe False Lashes!!
Okay, so I am in love with my Sephora luxe lashes in "plume".  However, they are VERY delicate and I've already ruined one pair trying to remove excess glue.  I'm confused about this since I was told that I should be able to use these lashes up to 30 times.  I was told by a sales associate at Sephora that I should soak them in my eye makeup remover then carefully peel the glue off.  They literally disintegrated...  Has anyone else figured this out?  I want to get my 30 uses seeing as how they are $17!!

Eyeliner and eye color.
Hello everyone!   I had a quick question about eyeliners and wanted to get some additional advice!  I don't wear much makeup, and I usually wear eyeliners in order to make my eyes look bigger, but I was wondering if I selected a good color, could I also use eyeliners to enhance my eye color?  My eyes are hazel, so they're brown on the inside and green around the edges, but the green tends to grow more and dominate more when it's darker out.  I saw an eyeliner who's color was Oliver: Dark Army Green, and looked to be a mixture of brown/green. Would this product be a good example of a way to enhance the green in my eyes as well as having a natural look?  Thanks for all your assistanc
