Hi dolls, I'm obsessed with the what are you wearing thread on BT , but I find it hard to post a full faced selfie all the time! I noticed a lot of people are lip product junkies like myself on here and thought it would be a good thread to start. I also think it might make people more comfortable with posting a picture of their lips instead of their whole face (I know I don't want to see mines up close and personal all the time). I think a brows of the day , eyes of the day , etc. would be great too for people who aren't as comfortable posting a selfie. You can always post a selfie in this thread though (: Here's whats one my lips today! 1. Bite Beauty Rhubarb lip pencil 2. TF Perfect Lips Lip Liner in perfect spice

Guys, my current foundation shades just aren't doing it for me, but my concealer is a great match. So I am looking for a foundation that is closer to my concealer shade. I am using MUFE Full Cover Concealer in #6 Ivory. I am open to any brand, any coverage, and finish. I just need that right color. So please feel free to suggest any foundation that is a match to my concealer. Thanks guys!
Don't clean off that swatch hand just yet! I love seeing product swatches, so I thought it would be fun if we shared pictures of our swatch hands. No need to remember everything you swatch, but it would be great if you let us know which product swatch impressed you the most and one that disappointed you.
Ok. So I discussed the diff. w/ a cpl of BT'ers about this Pressed Skin Perfector vs. the liquid. I have went back and forth and decided on this formula. However, with the suggestions in the last Post I am unsure of the correct color. I would think that either Opal or Moonstone would be perfect for me. I just don't know which one I should go with. I have never seen these in person ( & can't just run over to my Sephora & try it out, way too far). I have light to med. Skin w/ neutral undertones. I would like to be able to use this easily and however I would like. What do you suggest for me to seal the deal? Thanks in advance
So I was watching a youtube video of Vintageortacky and when I saw her Charlotte Tilbury blush, my jaw dropped. I had my eye on the YSL peachy one but .. this... just beats it, and can I say cute packaging? I wasn't going to jump on the CT bandwagon, but according to Cora this gives a nice natural peachy touch.. yep. This blush is called Ecstacy. And this one is the one Cora used called First Love.
So I'm in healthcare. I worked in the office today instead of doing direct patient care. One of my sweet coworkers knows how I feel about makeup and brought me these goodies. She said she wasn't ever going to use them and I could have them. She also gave me a bunch of dry to combination skin moisturizers...the yellow one (no spf) but my skin is oily so I'm going to see if any family wants them. I don't think these samples are very old. I smelled a few and they seemed ok. I also got some makeup remover, one with oil in it and the other is clear blue. I haven't used any makeup from this brand, but I have the dramatically different moisturizer and I love it, but it doesn't have any SPF. I can't believe my luck today. How do Clinique's eyeshadows wear?
Crazy perhaps. I ordered the Makeup Forever 30 Years, 30 Colors, 30 Artist palette this morning but now I'm having buyers remorse (I do NOT need it...and just spent a bunch on other items). But....MUFE is a brand I've rarely bought and it looks so lovely. Thoughts. Should I keep it or return it (unopened....I want someone else to get it if I don't). Any input is welcome!!!! So, I really want to try a really vibrant violet lip color. I looked in past threads to get ideas but the last post was about a year ago and, let's be real, a whole lot of new makeup products come out in a year. So I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions! I am not looking for anything dark or vampy. I am contemplating Too Faced Violet Melted Lipstick. If anyone has any other ideas I would really appreciate it!
I don't know if drugstore swatches are allowed on this board, but I really love the L'Oreal Infallible eye shadows. They are super pigmented and buttery. And they really last! Here's swatches of the ones I own. Swatched over Too Faced Shadow Insurance. From left: 756 - Always Pearly Pink 759 - Burst Into Bloom 996 - Liquid Diamond 758 - Purple Priority 337 - Endless Sea 760 - Timeless Blue Spark From left: 888 - Iced Latte 997 - Eternal Sunshine 892 - Amber Rush 755 - Gilded Envy 335 - Golden Emerald From left: 507 - Primped & Precious 341 - Strawberry Blonde 342 - With A Twist 340 - Dive Right In 890 - Bronzed Taupe
First off let me tell you how sorry I am at the length of this post. I really can't sum up my predicament in a few short sentences because if I do, there might be additional questions from readers and so I just figured to be very lengthy in my wording. Okay, so I have annoying skin that reacts rather oddly with foundation. It's great and all, right up until I put on any kind of foundation/bb cream/etc. There are days, granted, that my bb cream will look dewy and beautiful on my skin, but more often than not, it looks like crap. I exfoliate every day, twice in fact; once at night with just a regular wash cloth, and once in the morning with a Clarisonic. I've read online not to exfoliate everyday, or heck, even twice, but I seriously have to. In addition to my extremely dry, flakey, patchy skin (which of course only shows up on foundation), I also have an oily t-zone (combination skin), as well as annoying sebaceous filaments (another reason why I have to exfoliate). At night, I use Philosophy Purity Cleanser, after which I use circle motions with a towel to exfoliate and use Ren ClearCalm 3 Replenishing Gel Cream in conjunction with Dr. Dennis Gross Skincare Clinical Concentrate Radiance Booster (I just received in the mail the Ole Henriksen Invigorating Night Treatment, so I'm going to use that tonight and see how I like it), and I wake up with nice, dewy, clear, fresh skin. In the morning, once I exfoliate and such with my Clarisonic with Philosophy Purity Cleaner, I apply Algenist Hydrating Essence Toner, Ole Henriksen Truth Serum, Dr. Jart Ceramidin Liquid, and Dr. Jart Ceramidin Cream. After waiting about 40 minutes for that to sink in while I straighten my hair, I then put on a primer. Everything is just fine and dandy at this point; nice, soft, dewy skin. Then comes the foundation/bb cream/etc. part and everything just goes down hill from here. The only method I use that I can at least try to achieve "normal" looking skin with the face makeup is with my fingers, and that only works with a bb cream or a tinted moisturizer. Forget about foundation, that just looks cakey, streaky, and nasty as heck on my skin. Things start to look brighter, however, by the time I apply Laura Mercier's Translucent Powder with her Velour Puff in a patting application, only on my t-zone (oh and let me say, actually it's really only my t-zone that suffers through the heartache of looking absolutely horrendous, ESPECIALLY after like 2 hours of application). But like I said, that only works with a tinted moisturizer or bb cream. I can't wear regular foundation or mineral powder cause that just makes matters worse, not to mention I have very very very fair skin, which means even the lightest shade of makeup doesn't even come close, which is why I've had to go to a Korean brand of bb creams to match me. Pleasssseee help me. I have no idea what I'm doing wrong. Everything just looks so cakey. I have very good skin but it's so red and I just don't have enough self confidence to go completely bare faced. Helllllppp!
Some campaigns from Charlotte Tillbury, Rodarte (Nars), Chanel and Dior (pics posted below) have featured pink/red/fuscia eyeshadows for their Fall campaigns. My question to all of you is, what are your makeup application tips for me to try that same trend and interpret for a casual day look? I may even want to wear that to work too. I don't want to look like I have a bruised eye or a puffy eye that has been crying all night. I"d like to be able to take my sunglasses off and look my friends in the eye at lunch and not get funny looks. Just for reference my complexion is pale with subtle yellow undertones but can pull more neutral at times. (3yo3, Chanel B10 or BR20 approx). Does anyone have shade recommendations? Application tips?? Thanks!
I dont know if any of you guys sell things online, but the new app Marcari is awesome. If you sign up for Mercari with the invite code WsU247, youll get $5 free to spend Mercari sells things like clothes and makeup
We've all seen this on youtube, if you haven't.. go do so and have a laugh - maybe I'm always laughing and thinking to myself that it'd be fun to try this. Sometimes I say "there's no way they can mess up that bad, come on.." So I decided, why not make a thread about it? I want to see pictures, be it one or a ton, to show how good we can apply makeup without a mirror - it's hard! I used all products I use when I do the works, which is almost every day. A lot of people know my liquid liner skills.. I used it here.. but it didn't come out as great as I wanted! If you're interested in the lipstick shade, it's Shanghai Express by NARS. Sorry for the lighting, it's either this or suffer a heatstroke in my bathroom (it's hot in there).
Well, if I am not accidentally hijacking a post, giving info on the wrong item, or something else goofy (like where am I , right.... pay attention ?! hehe), I have went and posted an Eye Shadow question under the Acne Board ! Yep, sure did & can't be moved only deleted. But, don't wanna delete it b/c I have got some good advice. Just wanted to see what your thoughts were on these two pallets (the UD Basics) and the Dior shadows. Thanks in Advance (hiding my face w/ embarrassment like an Emu)! Please see other board. bahahaha
Have you guys seen these?! There are tons of shades and finishes to choose from, and you can build your own palette! I can't wait to try these; I wonder if Sephora will carry all of the shades? There are so many and I'd really like to go in and test a good chunk of them. http://www.sephora.com/artist-shadow-P387670?skuId =1622745
