Has anyone tried these?  I just got an email from them announcing their Spring release, the Plum Blossom 23-Karat lipstick.  It's a gorgeous color (rose/nude) and I'm dying to get it.  But for $55?!!?   I figure someone on BT must have tried their lipstick.  I'd love to get some feedback, about their lipsticks in general and/or this color in particular.  I like their skincare, so have high hopes for this, but their lipstick is a mystery to me.  Any help?

I attended the "Perfectly Paired Lip and Cheek" class at Sephora on Sunday. One of the topics discussed was exfoliating your lips. I have always had very dry, flaky skin from head to toe thanks to being born with Ichthyosis. Dry skin is something I've always struggled with but one area that never seems to improve is my lips. I've tried lip balms from Chapstick to Bite Beauty but nothing works. I've tried just using Vitamin E or other natural oils. I've tried various different physical exfoliants from just using a damp washcloth to using an actual scrub. I find that it might remove some of the flakes but I'm left with uneven areas or borders of flakes sort of like if you pulled a scab off but didn't get all of it. Thus, when I put lipstick on, it looks uneven and sometimes doesn't stick to the center of my lip where the skin is a different, shiny texture. I also have broken capillaries in different areas of my face including around my mouth and chin, so using more scrubs makes me nervous. Now I am looking to find a lip mask or treatment that works more like the AHA/Glycolic treatments I use on my face. I know the lip area is much more delicate so I'm cautious. But does anyone know of a product like this? Maybe a lip mask that uses enzyme action to remove dry patches? Does anyone know if that's how the Kaplan MD Lip 20 mask works?

this tag has been going around youtube vids for over a year now,  i thought this could be a bit of fun for us BTers on a lazy sunday.   the questions are:   1. Favorite balm/treatment 2. Best eye-catching red 3. Best luxury & best drugstore 4. Favorite MAC lipstick ** 5. Most disappointing 6. Liner- yes or no? 7. Best gloss 8. Something extra (shout out to a product not covered here / a lip product story / your first lipstick love / whateveryouwant)   **i know not everyone here loves MAC or goes for MAC products, so i figure for this question, feel free to say whateveryouwant or just skip it.   i'll post my answers below as to make for an easy copy & paste. feel free to include photos if you want but no biggie. just have fun   and feel free to cheat and give multiple answers

Hi everyone,   I've been cleaning out my stash and have a TON of drugstore products I'd like to pass along to others, so I was thinking of starting a drugstore TSB for anyone who's interested.    If you'd like to participate, you must have at least 500 hearts. Once we have a confirmed list of participants, I'll ask that everyone PM their shipping address on to the person before them.    Since I live in a tiny town with no nearby shelters to donate to, Missey1973 has agreed to take the box at the end of the round and donate it to her local shelter, where she has taken a previous TSB. (I want to add that Missey mentioned that there are guys at the shelter as well, so definitely feel free to include men's products if you have any!)   Pretty standard TSB rules: Spoiler (Highlight to read) Rules DO INCLUDE: -new and gently used beauty products -sample and full size items are all ok -mainly drugstore products, but high end products are welcome too -labels for anything that's used/swatched -sanitized products if they're used/swatched -pictures of your proposed trades, and await the approval of a couple other members before shipping it off -the same amount or more than what you take -men's products if you have any DO NOT INCLUDE: -anything gross or items that can't be adequately sanitized -premade samples -less than what you took -Heavily used items (unless someone requests it specifically) SHIPPING: -We'll use a USPS large flat rate box for priority shipping ($17.90) -Please post the tracking number once you ship the box -Please don't hold on to the box for more than three days. So, who's interested?   Edit: Depending on how quickly we get a list going, I'm aiming to send this box out some time in the 2nd week of February.   Starting: DolceLoure (sent: 2/8/16   9505513476776039099045)  1. Onceuponatime45 2. I do this periodically.  I can't judge liquid lipsticks.  Yes, I can tell the difference between 1,000 red regular lipsticks but the liquid ones leave me confused.  So, to update my never ending question, which liquid lipstick is your must have?  Brand, shade, both, whatever.  Thanks!

Eyeshadow suggestions?   Hi! I'm fairly new to makeup and I was wondering if anyone could suggest eyeshadows or eyeshadow palettes for light blue eyes, cool toned pale skin, and medium/dark brown hair with natural coppery red undertones. Thank you so much!

alright, here it is. use this thread to request swatches. the guidelines are up to you and your needs: single swatches, comparison swatches, specific skin tone swatches   when comparisons are requested, feel free to provide whatever you have of that request--i want anyone to participate and contribute if they want to. have fun, hope this is helpful !

I have always used matte full coverage foundation for my acne prone skin.  I have been using Kat Von D liquid foundation for the past few years and am now looking for something a little more dewy or satin in appearance that won't make me break out.  Have any of you gals with acne prone skin used full cover foundations that are dewy/satin and how did it work for you?  I do set my foundation with powder otherwise it separates/looks patchy/does not last very long.  So which powder could i use and still get a satin appearance? I currently use Sephora microsmooth baked foundation powder with a beauty blender  as my setting powder.

Hey Beauties- We have ALOT of threads around here for Tom Ford products. I figured I'd start one thread where we can update each other on items as they come out or we see them available.    For all my UK'ers, or people willing to pay for shipping from the UK, Harrods has Softcore and Nude Dip from the Fall collection available right now. Happy Shopping!

I have searched for a good, effective primer for a long, long time. Tried them all, MUFE, Tarte, Becca, etc. Actually easier to list what I have NOT tried! No matter what my foundations break-up/break-down all down my t-zone and actually slide right off of my face.    I have combo/sensitive skin, with an oily t-zone (rest of my face is totally normal). PLEASE help me find a primer that will actually KEEP my makeup on my face!

My skin is extremely dry and flaky. I live in Arizona so it doesn't seem to matter how much water I drink or how much moisturizer I use--it never gets better. I use Elizabeth Arden's 8-hour cream as an overnight mask and that does my face the most good, but it's still extremely dry. I also use coconut oil, evening primrose oil, and castor oil as moisturizers, which are somewhat helpful. My problem is in finding a foundation that won't dry me out further. I have rosacea and very pale skin so I need medium/full coverage, and I'm almost always the lightest shade that almost any brand offers for their foundations. I've tried liquid and powder foundations and while mineral powder generally works better, either option still leaves me with patchy foundation by the end of the day. My skin looks like the desert floor. Does anyone know of a foundation that would work with my skin issues?   And, even though this isn't in the right category, extra points if someone can recommend a good, heavy-duty moisturizer (or several). Thanks!!

I recently went in to pick up a new foundation to use in winter (I have a summer look I love with Dior Forever Flawless), but unfortunately I'm paler in winter and it doesn't have a match for my paler complexion. I picked up one that matched with my skintone in-store and that came recommended to me by Sephora staff (makeup forever ultra HD invisible cover stick foundation). I like everything about it except how shiny/oily it makes me look/feel after a few hours.   To that end, I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for a foundation that worked well with combination skin (I have dry cheeks in winter, but a fairly typically oily T-zone). (My color IQ is 1R04.)   Alternatively, I'm open to the idea of keeping the make up forever foundation if I can find something to mattify it: is there a pressed/setting powder that someone might recommend? (Flash photography is a concern of mine - I do need something that won't show up oddly with a flash.)   Thank you so much for your help!

Hey guys! Has anyone tried this? I just bought the YSL Touche Eclat sticks and I LOVE them --  I'm curious about this primer and I'm willing to pay the $52 but I'm just wondering what everyone thinks about this product. Is it any good or is it just the label + pretty packaging that makes it so appealing?

i'm looking for a new foundation that won't make me break out, has full coverage, and doesn't look cakey... any suggestions?

Hello.  Could someone recommend some eye shadow colors or a pallet for someone who has blue eyes and grey/silver hair? Thanks in advance.

Hi All!     I was looking at getting some new brushes and was looking between Morphe and Sigma for a new foundation brush and I came across that liveglam is starting a Morphe Brush subscription box service that is just for brushes. What do you guys think about it? I don't know if it's really worth it as I don't know too much about Morphe (I was leaning toward Sigma) and if it's worth $20 a month. But I need a overhaul on my brushes as they are getting a little ...shabby and I "want" some new pretties     (any rec. for brushes though for dry skin, using MUFE HD in 120, YSL touche eclat primer, Diorsnow fresh creme global transparency and Besame brightening (for reddness that seems to always peek through)    Cheers

1. I was told recently that if you are using a matte foundation you should use a moisturizing primer. Is this true? 2. I have oily aging skin (I'm 37) and recently all my foundations sink into the fine lines & wrinkles on my forehead and cake around my nose. Any suggestions? 3. Concealer under my eyes has a cakey dry look lately which REALLY accentuates my fine lines & wrinkles there. Any suggestions?   HELP!!!!! Lol!

i am looking to buy a highlighter for my future sister in laws birthday- currently I love becca opal but her skin is more fair so I think it may be too dark.... I was eyeing up the travel size liquid moonstone for her instead, any other ideas?!? Thanks!

I was looking to buy the Kir Royale in the liquid lip creme but I can't find it online. I saw that its still in the Creme Lipstick but not the liquid. Was it a limited edition and gone forever?!

I recently tried Laura Mercier's Tinted Moisturizer and loved the radiance, but found the coverage a little too light. Is there a liquid foundation (or BB/CC cream) that gives the radiance and lightweight feel of LM's tinted moisturizer, but with a little more coverage?   (For reference, I use Too Faced Cocoa Powder Foundation in Light, and used LM's tinted moisturizer in Cameo)

Hey guys, so I don't know why it happens but every time I put on my makeup it looks cakey and flaky and my skin looks dry in places. After make up I end up with new pimples/acne. I usually use my Chanel Ultra light skin perfecting foundation followed by the makeup forever hd concealer (340) and bronzer, highlighter stick from smashbox . Is it because I don't use a primer that I get the cakey look? I also have a combination skin (oily tzone).    If if someone can help me, I am willing to change the foundation etc. any advice in changing this regime would be appreciated.
