Not sure if this is allowed? But I'm going to give it a shot and hope it doesn't get closed *covers eyes* What's on everyone's wish list for this sale? The sale started yesterday for card holders and will be available starting July 18! I'm having a hard time in finding anything I like on the previews I've seen so far! But I really want this!
Which ones are your favorites? I'm thinking I might try Nars Siam Matte Multiple, but I'd love to hear some other better( and less expensive ) suggestions. I want a true red and something that will blend really easily. Thank youuu!!
Has anyone tried either or both of these lip scrubs? I've used the Fresh sugar scrub exclusively, but (please forgive me for this) I don't do well with their lip therapy balms (it just worsens the chapping), so I have been using the Bite Beauty Agave Lip Mask with the Fresh sugar scrub. This combo has been working out pretty well for me, but I'm getting near the bottom of my Fresh scrub, and am wondering if I should stick with that or try the Bite scrub instead. Any thoughts?
I know it's soon, but is there a dupe for this shade? I'm a bit afraid to commit to this one only because of the matte formula. I know people say they are not too drying, but even when I prep my lips they end up looking flakey after a while. I was hoping someone knew of something a little more hydrating in this salmon-pink-coral shade? Thanks!
Urban Decay 24/7 Glide pencils are my go to pencils and I probably have about 15-20 colors. Eek! While I love these pencils and I won't stray for them on the daily I would love to try out liquid eyeliner. Everytime I try liquid eyeliner it's a disaster. I want to acheive that beautiful dramatic black line that I see so often but I have such a shaky hand and the stiff thin tips on the pens and brushes don't help. Is there a liquid liner out there for people like me? Maybe one that is forgiving when it comes to errors and waterproof? : )
I either get extremely dry to the point where my face looks like a desert, or I get extremely oily to the point where my face looks like I went swimming in the BP oil spill. I don't see a direct correlation between hormonal or environmental factors, and I wash my skin with oil controling soap along with using an oil controling lotion. Besides being completely at a loss when it comes to controlling my skin type, I am also a newbie at high end makeup. I would perfer a light to medium coverage but I would like buildability. Also, stating the obvious, it needs to be mattifying. Any suggestions of a foundation and finishing powder that can help me out? To set the record straight, no I was not attempting to go for the dewey look in any of these pictures
Hello All! So a little about me.. I am 25, am more Oily-skinned than not, very very fair and never tan. usually have at least one or two blemishes - I dont think i can ever remember a time when i had clear skin. I usually used Revlon colorstay on a day to day basis, and something like MUFE or MAC for special occasions. I am headed to the wonderful Disney World in humid, muggy, HOT Orlando soon, and need some makeup help. I want something that provides some coverage for my uneven skin + blemishes, but nothing too heavy. I would prefer something I didnt have to touch up as often etc. can anybody offer a suggestion? On a side-note... I would love to eventually phase out foundation all together. what would you recommend for doing that? I have horrible self esteem when it comes to my face and I feel like that is my main setback... I look forward to reading your suggestions!
I used to use LORAC PERFECTLY LIT OIL-FREE LUMINIZING POWDER in Spotlight - it's sold out everywhere - and I've heard rumors it is being discontinued. I realize Sephora no longer carries the line and Kohls now does, but again, I can't find my fav luminizer anywhere. Ugh!!!! I need some Sephora help! Pretty please! I have a medium colored skin tone (yellow undertones) so gold tones tend to look more natural than pink ones - need recommendations on what other options to try to replace my old fav product. I have tried a bunch of things thus far and haven't had a lot of luck. I don't want anything too glittery.... help... And thanks in advance!
Saw Temptalia's post a couple of days ago on the Givenchy Fall collection for this year, and it's all so beautiful -- from the packaging to the colors. I mean, look at the burgundy leather encasement for the Le Rouge lipsticks! However, the only one I will probably get is the Blush Memoire De Forme Pop Up Jelly Blush in Rose Extravagant -- am I crazy to want to drop $37 on a blush?! :-\ Yikes... However, I feel that between the color and the packaging, it's something that I can admire for a while...as long as it doesn't dry up at some point. From Make Up 4 All blog From Fashion Trend Seeker
Hello all! As you can tell from the title I will be on my way to college very soon! This means I will pretty much be on my own money-wise (with only minimal help from parents). I want to be responsible with my money, but I also don't want to give up some of my favorite makeup brands (first world problems am I right?). This applies to skincare too! Some questions I have: When do I save and when do I splurge? How long do certain products last (meaning how long before I run out?)? How can I get the most out of my products (making them last as long as possible)? What's a healthy budget amount for makeup? Per year, per month? What are the bare minimum products I should use? One of my goals is to not be excessive with the amount of products I have! Just the basics!
Once I get the box back I'll pick out some items and donate the remaining items to 'The River' (a local organization that takes and redistributes new and used makeup/beauty items to women in need). I've given beauty products to this organization before and they're really good. * Please make sure every item is in a plastic ziplock bag to prevent spills. Donts’s ■ DON'T keep the box for more than two days. Keep it moving! If you are traveling or a special circumstance comes up, we can work to rearrange things. We want to have fun and get gorgeous, not sickly ■ DON'T put any drugstore items into the TSB. ■ No reserve items in the box for others, and don’t ask to have any items reserved for you. This is unfair to others participating. ■ DON'T swatch items from the box. Hi BT Buddies!! Here is my dilemma--I have used Jane Iredales pressed and loose minerals, I like both, but the pressed just doesnt give me enough covereage. I want a pressed foundation that gives medium/buildable coverage. I haven't tried BM Ready yet, but I did use the loose in Fairly Light. I recently tried the IT Cosmetics one and like it but it was too yellow so back it went. I need a fair with COOL undertones--no yellow. I have combination skin, tends to get oily T zone... I welcome any suggestions! Thanks in advance!
I've noticed this with other UD eyeshadows in the the past, and same goes for the Naked2 Palette... There is always a ton of fallout when I apply it! I'm not sure if I'm applying it wrong or if there are some tips and ticks I could use to minimize the amount of fallout? Help please!
I need to upload a pic soon...but I am very pale with rosacea (redddd cheeks) that I cover up with foundation. I just dyed my hair a light reddish brown. I am totally clueless as to what color blush would look good on me. I have several: Nars Orgasm (too shimmery for my liking) Tarte True Love (too red), Tarte Achiote (too dark), Tarte Peaceful (not bad for a light coral), Stila Color Converter in Peony (not a fan of cream blush), and Tarte Flush (too purply), oh and also a NYX in a medium pink color, it's not too bad. I really do love MATTE & POWDER blushes.............maybe someone could give me a few suggestions. Thanks!
I ordered mine from Benefit (you could sign up to get it early) and it came about a week ago. Honestly? I find it soooo annoying. I pretty much only use gel liner so I was really excited for this pen but I still can't get the hang of this thing! When I was taking off my makeup tonight I decided to start playing around with it again. The top pics are a thinner line and the bottom pics I've doubled up. You can see it's kind of difficult to get a nice sharp line. I was watching NikkieTutorials review on YouTube and she said the same thing so at least I don't feel totally incompetent! And you CAN'T make a mistake when applying it because it's a mess to clean up. You'll have to re-do your complete eye and possibly part of your foundation. I dunno, maybe I'm a creature of habit with my gel pots and brushes. I'll keep playing around with it in the evenings when I'm taking off my makeup and see how good I can get but so far it's definitely not a must-have. Anyone else try this yet? I'd love to hear other opinions!
I posted a previous post about starting a traveling box with samples and deluxe samples and a few ladies were interested in doing one! This is the 1st traveling box I am apart of and of course the 1st that I am starting. So, we need to decide if we are going to do a medium or small flat rate box. RULES No used items. No open items DO NOT take more than you put in. Let's keep this fun and fair DO NOT take multiples of the same sample PLEASE try not to keep the box more than 3 days Make sure to send your address to the person listed above you Once you send the box off, post the tracking number in this thread ALL unused items allowed (well maybe not nail polishes if it will make the shipping costs go up) Post a pic of what you take out, what you put in and what is left in the box before you send it off THIS IS A DRAMA FREE BOX! We are going to have fun and try to keep this going as long as we can! I ordered Taupe and Soft Brown to see if either would work better for me since Dark Brown is pretty dark. I got them today so I figured I would share the swatches for anyone else looking for a color match. From left to right: Taupe, Soft Brown, Dark Brown.
