Eff! I have a feeling the $50 Louboutin red nail polish will end up at my house. I don't hoard cheapie polishes so it's okay to splurge on a luxury beauty product, right? Sephora will be getting it around August 6th if I remember correctly. http://www.sephora.com/product/productDetail.jsp?p roductId=P388556&om_mmc=oth-tum-20140723-Louboutin
Anyone know a good mascara from the drugstore that comes in colors other than black, brown, and blue? I really would not want to buy a high end colored mascara since I know I won't wear it as much as black.
I just hit VIB last week, and I got my 10% off card in store the other day. So, I figured to avoid "wasting" it, I'm gonna give myself an early birthday present and spend about 200-250 and use my coupon. I ran through a lot of my top priorities on my Loves list when the 2x/3x/4x points thing was going on, so now I don't know what I need! I was thinking about maybe splurging on POREfessional, since I currently use something similar from L'Oreal, but after the first few uses the product started coming out with puddles of oil underneath, and I have really oily skin as-is, and I noticed POREfessional was oil free, but otherwise practically the same... Or any other good oil controlling primers? I just love how smooth the pore products make my skin, even though I don't think I have any major pore issues. I also was trying to find an opaque, creamy orange colored lipstick. I love the Kat Von D A-Go-Go color, but I'm sometimes really shy about using super-bright lipsticks, and I don't want it to not get any use if I buy it. So I was wondering if maybe there was something a bit more muted, but still a pretty orange I could check out? Another lipstick color I was looking for was a good red. I have fair to light skin with soft pink undertones (Once I get all my foundation on, at least). I was hoping to find a slightly dark shade of red, maybe a glossy one, since most of my lip purchases lately have been matte stuff. I'd like a good waterline eyeliner recommendation too. I've never had much luck with keeping anything on the waterline. I've been looking at the Too Faced Teddy Bear Hair brushes. They're really cute and seem to be great quality, but I'm scared to make the jump from my ELF brushes. Should I? I've been looking for a good lengthening mascara too, and I was considering Dior It-Lash and KVD Immortal. Finally, a pallet. The only big ones I own are Moonshadow In the Tropics and Chocolate Bar. The Naked I has my eye more than the other two, but I feel like I also have a ton of great neutral shades already in Chocolate Bar. Maybe if there's any pallets with some well-pigmented pastel colors? Baby blue, light pink shades, mint green, soft greys... I'm open to any other stuff too. If you love it enough to rave about it, I'm sure it's worth checking out! I'm also interested in skin care, especially oil control. I just have no idea where to even begin. Thanks!
I was looking on the Ulta website and saw a new BECCA pressed powder shimmering skin perfector in champagne gold. I wondered if anyone has seen swatches of this. I already have Moonstone, Opal and Rose Gold so the question is do I need it?? LOL...of course. But I was really wondering how different it is from Moonstone. I'm not sure how to link a picture but you can find it on Ulta or the BECCA website. It says it's limited edition (ha ha, so was rose gold) and it has the same stamping on it as the holiday rose gold had on it.
I've always stuck to neutral pink/red or bold red lip shades. I'd really like to experiment a bit more with new colours this fall - darker! More plum/purple/brown tones. But I'm also a little bit nervous. I've got fair skin (cool undertones), brown eyes (pretty dark), and brown hair with quite a bit of red in it (like a dark auburn almost). Any suggestions? I think I'm going to pick up Givenchy Le Rouge in Violine Precieux, although I think that's a fairly safe shade to pick. I've also been eyeing the new Bite shades - but none of the stores near me have them in stock yet has anyone had a chance to swatch them or see what they look like in person?
I didn't see anything posted yet about these new palettes, but saw them on Ulta and I'm thinking of using my 20 percent discount to pick one up. A little pricey at $49 each, but it looks like a really nice palette! Top to bottom, they are Body, Mind, Soul and Spirit. Now to decide which one!
I use makeup forever hd foundation in n123 and I use nars sheer glow in Stromboli.. I want to try out mac foundations, but I'm not sure what shade I am. Can anyone give me some color choices for mac so I can check them out in person.
Okay I KNOW this is months early BUT I want to start making my wish list early this year for all the stores that usually have good deals around the holidays. I know Sephora does the VIB 20% off... But that is all that's coming to my mind right now... Does anyone know or remember where all had good beauty deals last year that will/maybe have deals this year?
I was on IG earlier & this picture seems to be going around. Anyone picking it up? Is said to be released in October, at 58$ . I'm not sure if I'll pick it up. Maybe if the 3 blushes aren't ones I own... Or there's a LE one. We'll see 😬
I always laugh when I read these articles online that say "10 ways to waterproof your makeup" because they inevitably mention humidity and I just sit there and think "you don't even know humidity." I've tried 90% of these "tips" and they don't really help either. I live in Louisiana where humidity is 100% most of the summer and temperatures exceed 100 degrees. For some reason, my face sweats horrendously bad. I was at the farmer's market this morning for about an hour and when I got back to my car, I felt like I had taken a nice oil shower because my face was so oily and sweaty. Football season starts in two weeks which means I will be outside tailgating and in a stadium for about 10 hours a day in this disgusting weather and I need something that will withstand the heat/humidity/sweat. My face is super oily. Like disgustingly oily right now. The only foundation that I have been able to find that keeps my face matte for more than three hours is Kat Von D and that foundation does NOT hold up to sweat. It breaks up and basically falls apart in no time. So, my question is...any foundations that possibly WILL work for 10+ hours. I usually prefer full coverage, but I'm willing to sacrifice coverage for a foundation that doesn't have my face melting off. I have tried: MAC Prolongwear, MAC Full Coverage (with powder), Kat Von D Lock-It, Smashbox BB Cream, Bare Minerals, various drugstore foundations... I'm currently looking into: Hourglass Immaculate Powder, MAC Face & Body, MUF Mat Velvet, MUF Face and Body, Tarte Amazonian Clay Foundation, Airbrush foundation, Stage Makeup...literally anything that will prevent a melt down. I'm down on my hands and knees begging somebody to help me (ok, not really, but I totally feel like I'm that desperate.) Also, any tips/tricks for combatting a sweaty face. I use a primer, setting powder and setting spray. It helps a bit, but not much.
Hi dolls, I'm obsessed with the what are you wearing thread on BT , but I find it hard to post a full faced selfie all the time! I noticed a lot of people are lip product junkies like myself on here and thought it would be a good thread to start. I also think it might make people more comfortable with posting a picture of their lips instead of their whole face (I know I don't want to see mines up close and personal all the time). I think a brows of the day , eyes of the day , etc. would be great too for people who aren't as comfortable posting a selfie. You can always post a selfie in this thread though (: Here's whats one my lips today! 1. Bite Beauty Rhubarb lip pencil 2. TF Perfect Lips Lip Liner in perfect spice
I noticed that Sephora listed a Tony Moly lip balm. Does that mean that Sephora is going to carry the Tony Moly line? If so that would be really exciting. http://www.sephora.com/tony-moly?icid2=product_abo ut%20brand_logo
I have several foundations but I really haven't found one that really clicks with me, except for the new Laura Mercier flawless foundation, I still haven't finished my sample but when I do I'm going to buy the actual size. Thing is, that one has a matte finish on me, which I like but I want something glowy. I was thinking of buying YSL Touche Eclat but I dont know if that one is a good fit for me since I do get oilly around the nose and it's more noticeable with the Texas heat. To get to the point of this title, would you recommend nars sheer glow? It looks like it'd have a satin finish but it still gives you the type of radiance that I'm trying to find... thoughts, suggestions, anything is welcome, thanks! Oh, just to mention what foundations i have: Big Easy Tarte 12 hr clay foundation LM flawless sample elf flawless foundation MUFE velvet mat Illamasqua skin base I don't like powder foundations, I had bought a TF powder foundation.. just not my thing. :\
I need emergency help with makeup for my senior (AHH!) pictures! I have no idea what to do for makeup, so any tips would be awesome! I already know that I am going to use EL Double Wear foundation, but thats about all I have decided! Product recommendations (I have super light skin, foundation shade 1N1, medium brown hair, and blue/grey eyes!) for eyeshadow, lipstick, blush, etc would be awesome. Also any application tips would be helpful! thank you all so much in advanced!
I don't know if any of you ladies know about this but Sonia Kashuk just came out with a LE 15 piece brush set in celebration of their 15th anniversary. I just picked up the last one in my town today during my lunch break. I personally think this is a steal. It is $40 at Target. If you can find it, I suggest to get it right there and then because this set is sold out almost everywhere and each Target in the US and Canada each get 2 sets. Go on to Target's website and use the "find in a Target store" and click on "pick up in store" if it shows up to reserve it. Sonia Kashuk is trying to keep it in stock but it keeps selling out. This set will be available until October according to their customer service line. If anyone wants to know how they perform, let me know and I will do a small review here on BT.
I recently found a great coupon for 8% off SEPHORA through Ebates which you can use an unlimited amount of times for AUGUST 2014. From my research, I learned that SEPHORA hired Ebates to stimulate sales during the recession by offering this coupon. The way this works is that SEPHORA pays Ebates a commission every time you use them to buy something. In return, SEPHORA pays you part of that commission (which is how you get the 8% off). This stimulates business and everyone makes out!!!
hi everyone!! :') i'm looking for a lip balm or treatment to help keep my lips from chapping... i usually use chapstick but it seems to be wearing off awfully fast, and i have dry lips so i need a more permanent solution. any ideas?
I know many of you have ILLAMASQUA blushes, these are on sale @ the Bay. I can't go there personally and swatch them so I'm relying on your opinion. Which shades are the best in both powder and cream blushes given that I have medium complexion. And what do you say about ILLAMASQUA gleam
I am hoping someone can help me.... So, for my entire life I have had oily skin. So, naturally, all of my foundations are geared toward that. Well, all of the sudden, those foundations now look TERRIBLE on my face - my skin has decided it is no longer oily, but is at best, normal, and more often, dry. When I try to use my old go to foundation (Nars Sheer Glow), you can see so much flakiness on my face. I am way to scared to even TRY my MUFE Mat Velvet+. What can I do to make these foundations work for me until they run out? I hate wasting product and am trying REALLY hard to use things up before buying more. I have been using Too Faced Primed and Poreless with my foundation - is there a different primer that would work better? That primer is almost gone anyway so I wouldn't feel bad picking up a new primer. The only thing I have found that works at all is to mix foundation in with my moisturizer, but the coverage is so sheer then. I know someone on here will have a good solution for me!
I recently bought a set that includes a Josie Maran argan oil, cleansing oil, and argan oil moisturizer. The argan oil and moisturizer exceeded my expectations and I am really loving those two products, but I have not been able to get the cleansing oil to work. I used to use a cleanser from Neutrogena because it easily removed all of my makeup; I just used my ring fingers to very gently graze over my skin with this product and it would easily remove everything. But it really irritated my skin. With the Josie Maran one I have to really tug and stretch my skin to make it remove my makeup, and even when I do this it still only removes about 40% of my face makeup (and all I wear is face powder, bronzer, and blush), but it really agrees with my skin. Does anyone have any tips on how to make this remover a bit more effective? I really love how it agrees with my skin so well so I don't want to waste it.
So today while cleaning out my purses it struck me that I haven't used my Urban Decay Ultra lip glosses in a while, which were my favorite lip glosses. I have two and found it odd I didn't come across one of them. After checking everywhere I could think it could be I'm bummed that I can't find them Anyone else lose a favorite?
I posted a previous post about starting a traveling box with samples and deluxe samples and a few ladies were interested in doing one! This is the 1st traveling box I am apart of and of course the 1st that I am starting. So, we need to decide if we are going to do a medium or small flat rate box. RULES No used items. No open items DO NOT take more than you put in. Let's keep this fun and fair DO NOT take multiples of the same sample PLEASE try not to keep the box more than 3 days Make sure to send your address to the person listed above you Once you send the box off, post the tracking number in this thread ALL unused items allowed (well maybe not nail polishes if it will make the shipping costs go up) Post a pic of what you take out, what you put in and what is left in the box before you send it off We are going to have fun and try to keep this going as long as we can! If you are interested in being in the box, I have a few spots left so post a pic of what samples you have in this thread to be added. To start off, we are only going to have 10 people! 1. 2.
