I desperately need your advice ladies. For days I have been going back and forth from what brushes to order to where to buy them from. One thing is for sure.....I want the F80 brush. Options to purchase at: Sigma site - shipping is about $9 and there's a 10% discount code plus a free gift over $30 spent. Amazon - free shipping over $35. Even though the item is from an authorized seller, I was reading reviews that they may be dupes Charmiss which is a store in Jersey that carries Sigma but it's a bit over an hour away. Im thinking I should just order from Sigma and get a few more brushes since the S&H is the same and I won't place more than one order. Sigma Kabuki Kit has the F80 brush plus 4 others and I was thinking about the Synthetic Precision 4 piece set. It's on sale for $45 but I'm. It sure if I can actually use them as eye brushes. Sorry for the lengthy thread but I'm having such a difficult time deciding which doesnt happen offen
I've seen women who can wear a full face of make up while working out - foundation, eyeliner, everything! I wouldn't wear any myself, because I frankly sweat like a pig and looking pretty/decent/presentable/human is probably the last thing on my mind, but I do marvel the ladies who can look so put together even when they're running or doing reps. I'm really curious how their makeup stays put. I can barely get my eyeliner to stay even when I'm not exercising and not end up with raccoon eyes! :/ (I'm a totally new makeup noob, btw....) Any workout goddesses want to share their secrets?
My name is Bombshell and I continue to be an eyeshadow addict enthusiast !! However, five weeks ago I began a quest to actually start using my mountains and mountains of palettes and shadows. Along with some awesome ladies who have joined in I have committed to using the same palette 5 days in a row and posting the results at the end of five days. Those with single shadows are welcome to join in as well! If you are interested in the original rules & lists posted they can be found in off topic, (take the challenge: palette parade). the gist of it is make a list, plan to show all your shadows love for extended period of time (5days), if you hate it first day move on. I am also planning to add weeks of singles by brand (Stila week, UD week, Nars week). I think instead of posting and editing lists it would be easier to report what we plan to use at the beginning of the week and the report the results at the end. We meet here at the end of the week to discuss what we wore for the week, how it worked for us and most importantly to share pictures and advice! Anyone can join as we all started at different times and have different numbers of palettes, and will finish at different times. I am looking at 38 (?) more weeks if I don't buy one more palette! Xoxo I look forward to more fun parading with all you girls! Palette Parade Princesses: CalamityJane85, Nikki, LadyMeag, Beethousand, AmberAngeline, MaFan, nurseCupcake, Carolang, Jenblush, Malday, Sparlekai, GHKim, IttyxBittyxMe, Katie241, SirenPrincess, Manniface.
I've been such a slave to Sephora & Ulta that I no longer own any drug store makeup. I'm on a tight budget right now so therefore I must downgrade on a few items. What are you favorite drug store or department store makeups? Eyeliners/Mascaras/Gloss/Eyeshadow...anything...Th anks!
I'm pretty rushed in the morning, so sometimes I don't clean my eyeliner or cream blush brush right afterward, and of course it dries and becomes hard and difficult to clean when I get home. So I'm looking to change this habit. What is the best and fastest way to spot clean your eyeliner brush or other brushes that come into contact with liquid/cream products? I'd like it to be thorough enough that I can use the brush for a few days before doing a deep cleaning, abut not super time consuming.
I have tried many black eyeliners and MUFE aqua liner is the only one that truly lasts all day without smudging. As much as I love the formula, the packaging is awful. When I remove the liner, the liner broke into little flakes and get into my eyes. I have tried Stila stay all day, UD 24/7 and Kat Von D. None of them is as good as MUFE. Does anyone have a good alternative?
There was someone who was going to do a foils/small sample TSB. I do not believe that person is still going to do it. If they are, I apologize and will not do one. I have been in two boxes and loved it but I have never started one. If anyone is still interested, I am willing to try to start one. We can use the same rules from the other TSB. Please let me know if anyone is interested. Also we need to decide if we want to do this with a small flat rate box (I believe shipping is around $6.00) or a medium flat rate box (I believe shipping is around 13.00). If you are going to participate, please be prepared for the shipping costs! This box is open for US shipping only. Shipping becomes more expensive for Canada. Once we decide if we want to do a small or medium box I will post pics of what I will start the box out with. If at that time someone decides they don't like what I am starting the box out with just let me know. I want this to be fun for all. Once I get the box back I will go through it & give the leftover items to the local youth group who works with the homeless shelters in Fredericksburg VA. I have been using Clinique's Brush on Cream Liner and I love it, it is so easy to use, but sometimes it can be hit or miss on the staying power. What do you guys recommend for one that is long wearing and easy to use?
Hi Ladies, I thought it may be good idea to hear from other fellow Rouges across the country and let us know what is going on at your event and what goodies you get, if any?! I would love to hear any of the following! Where is your store located? What Reps visited your store? What kind of food was there? lol Did you get any exclusive goodies besides the free makeup bag? What was in your haul?! (What you went in for, but really left with?) Please post pics!! Please no Drama! Happy Shopping!
I wear liquid eyeliner every day and I've used two of the maybelline master precise liquid eyeliners from the drugstore. They work really well at first and they're good for the price, but they dry out really really quickly. Do you have any recommendations for a liquid eyeliner that lasts more than a month and doesn't dry out? I don't think I use that much eyeliner, but I do use it as part of my normal makeup routine.
I am making a short trip to Tokyo this summer. While a lot of it will be sight seeing, I most definitely will curve out time for shopping. So I just want to hear everyone's suggestions on things worth picking up! I am am not looking for foundations, concealors or powder (unless it's absolutely amazing, contemplating on Cle de peau concealor which is cheaper there). No eyeshadows either, maybe a few mascaras, liquid eyeliners, lip products and as many blushes/cheek products as I see fit and most certainly brushes. (I want to get some hakuhodo or chikuhodo, but any other suggestions are totally welcome) I would prefer something that's more accessible. I recall reading about some products that aren't sold outside of Japan (makeup), and I remember making a note to myself that I should get them when I go but I can't seem to remember. Anyone? So far (just so we don't duplicate) I have my eyes on -Kate mascara base -Kate cream blush (that comes in a jar) -Jill Stuart blush (just because it's so pretty) -Majorica majorca mascar Lastly any tips on good stores, getting around, places to see? Any suggestions are highly appreciated! Last lastly, any other non-makeup related must buys? Thanks tons!
I just received an email from Hourglass that their Ambient Lighting Palette (with incandescent light) is back. Does anyone know if this means it's a permanent part of their collection, or is it LE yet again? What do you think? I have to say I'm disappointed it's not a blush trio or an ambient bronzing trio but this is still amazing because it's three shades of ambient lighting powder that I don't own. EDIT: refinery29 confirms that this palette is a permanent part of the Hourglass cosmetics line! Still awaiting confirmation from Hourglass!
I am turning to you, my BT community, in all of your wisdom. I generally wear neutral/nude/natural lip colors. I think my lips look thin and harsh with dark colors, but I would like to try more of a bright color. I see so many photos posted of everyone, and the brighter colors look so nice on everyone, no matter what shape their lips or face. "berry blushed" from Clinique and "watermelon" Burt's Bees are about as colorful as I have right now. Otherwise, I have Dolly Buxom and Blossom by Mally...nice colors, but no pizzazz. Here are my stats and preferences: Fair skin with pink undertones, 49 with nice skin, average lips but they turn down on the corners a bit. I prefer a more sheer coverage with shimmer. Glosses preferred, but if a lipstick is more moisturizing, that will work too. Something coral, berry or pinks that aren't dark or fuschia-bright but are pretty and great for Spring and Summer? Thanks in advance!
How many of you contour and highlight? Seems like that's all anyone talks about these days. I just recently tried it and didn't really see much of a difference plus I felt gross wearing that much makeup. I prefer just a bb cream and powder once in a while.
So I wanted to pick up a new palette but I don't know which one or ones to get. I have the Naked palettes, Smoked, and Vice by Urban Decay. But I'd like to branch out and try a different brand. I've only read reviews on these palettes and I do want to swatch them, but I don't want to be tempted by all 4. Is there any that are better than the others? Are they pigmented? Good variety? Or are they too closely related to my palettes? I am COMPLETELY in love with Tarte's Amazonian Clay matte blushes. So much so, that I have eight and have gotten rid of all my Nars blushes. I think they actually made me break out, or contributed to my breakouts, not too sure. I had Nars Super Orgasm in the past and hated it. Ended up exchanging because it was too chunky for me. Do the Tarte shimmering blushes have glitter in them?
Has anyone come across make-up removing wipes that don't have a smell to them? I've tried nearly every Neutrogena wipe out there (as well as Olay, etc.) and all of them seem to have perfumes in them. It's not a huge problem for me as my skin doesn't break out because of this, but I just personally would prefer to not have my skin smell like pink buttfruit every time I try and clean my face. Any recommendations?
I mentioned the other day in the palette parade thread that it would be cool if someone started a thread with a picture of a cool eye look and we all tried our hands at it. So CalamityJane (the bully) told me to start it. My immediate thought was "But I wanted someone else to do it!!" Then I decided I was being a whiny little b*tch and should get to it. So without further ado, here's the first Eyeshadow Inspiration! I had been wanting to try a green/bronze eye look for awhile and thought this one looked fun. Here is my not-very-good attempt at it: As always, lighting was a bit of an issue (why won't my blush ever show up?!?), but even though the colors aren't captured perfectly you can still kind of see them. Anyone else want to try? Feel free to substitute colors and change it up (maybe using whatever your palette-of-the-week is?). I love seeing what people here come up with!
Has anyone tried Graftobian or Kryolan cream foundations? I saw a YouTuber use a Kryolan Palette for contouring and highlighting and now I want one There's a ton of different Kryolan ones. I was drawn to these in particular: Or should i just save money and get a coastal scents concealer palette?
I entered a TooFaced contest on Twitter and actually won! It's a Better Than Sex mascara, nothing crazy but I am so excited to have won anything, and I've been eyeing this mascara. Do you enter giveaways or have ever won something exciting? The picture I used that "won" is my profile picture, me holding Glamour to Go II
I'm addicted to Beso by Urban Decay's Naked line! I didn't think I would like it but I got another during the sale even though my first isn't even half way gone. It keeps my lips soft and moisturized...which is a hard thing to do with my dry, chapped lips. I like it more than Fresh's line. I would love to hear what you all can't live without??!!
So I recently purchased Urban Decays Electric palette. The colors are so gorgeous and oh so pigmented! I've been playing a lot with it and end up looking pretty comical at times with some of the rainbow looks I've come up with. I can't seem to accept wearing less than four shades at a time! Lol! Has anyone got any pictures of multiple color looks that aren't too over the top? Or do I have to accept using two or three shades?
