I went to my local Sephora today and one of the girls told me that after the holidays all of the Lorac products will be on sale. They're not going to carry the line any longer I went home and checked online (with fingers crossed) to see if perhaps it would just be my local Sephora losing the line, unfortunately they barely have anything online! I'm so sad right now!! Why Sephora, why????
I wear colorstay revlon make up and it is really nice. But I do not like how on my nose, upper lip area and on my chin it looks really heavy. What can i do to make it look better. I am a beginner at makeup and have oily, acne prone skin. I also don't know what kind of brush type is best. I use an elf liquid make up brush as of right now it is flat.
Hey girls, 2 part question here for you. So I am currently wanting to add to my ' wish list ' and I need your suggestions of brands that carry the most pigmented, most sought after and most colour selection lipsticks. Now it can be from High End / Drugstore as well. Second question is I am wanting to try out MAC lipsticks at some point. What colour's are worth the the price paying for it ?. So far I have my eyes on Diva & Media.
With the talk about LORAC possibly no longer being sold at Sephora, I am wondering what peoples' major go-to brands are and why? In order, and on the list due to no animal testing. 1. Urban Decay (obsession level) Love their liners and have every color I could want. Great lasting power and colors in liners and shadows. Revolution lipsticks are amazing. Razor Sharp finishing powder amazing, Have really come to trust the quality of the brand. 2. LORAC. Love the shadows and primer, have some lipsticks, blushes too and their luminizer is my HG. Great colors and quality, again I trust the brand. 3. Stila. I have a variety of Stila items. I know when I order something Stila I won't be disappointed. Shadows, liners, liquid liners. 4. Tarte. Love their company philosophy, and my collection of Tarte products is growing. I have a number of blushes and eyelash primers and mascaras. I am also liking Too Faced as well. Love to hear what you like and why!!
I rarely did nail art during the Fall semester. I definitely did not have any time for practicing with acrylic. I have missed both so much! It was so nice to sit down and play with acrylic and polish after working on some of my Winter class stuff. I still have a long ways to go with acrylic, but I didn't make too big of a mess lol. I still have a hard time with creating the rounded area built up at the stress point. Fitting for my index finger has always been awkward. It's just an awkward nail lol. I wish I could post my Instagram video of my hand with the untrimmed nail tips. "The Claw" went after the critters lol. I kept the nail art simple and festive. The green's formula isn't great for creating thin lines, but all that matters is that it's a Christmas green. I used: Zoya Nidhi (red on pinky) OPI An Affair in Red Square (red on middle) China Glaze Ruby Pumps (red on thumb) Zoya Ivanka (green) and two Sephora by OPI golds. I can't recall the names since they're mini bottles lol.
Hello ladies (and gents!) I'm in the market for a new foundation. I have been using Diorskin Nude, and I have no qualms with it, but I do think I could do better. I decided to go outside of the realm of Sephora purely for research purposes, and now I'm at a crossroads. Here are the two I'm interested in/curious about: Guerlain Parure de Lumière Armani Luminous Silk I'm very fair, and I'm looking for a light-medium coverage foundation that isn't too fluid and isn't liquid-to-powder (like HG Immaculate). I want it to do the job, so I don't want "invisible" foundation that just melts into my face without a trace, but I don't want it to be very heavy or cakey. If it smells nice, that's a plus! Feel free to recommend others as well. Sorry for the lengthy post (and my being so picky!) Any guidance would be much appreciated!
Just saw the reviews for this collection coming out on the 26th on Temptalia's blog. Anyone else excited for this? I think I'm really loving the blushes and skinfinishes! Pretty highlighters are easy catching the eye aren't they?
Is tarte discontinuing maracuja foundation? I've seen this a lot in the sale section at tarte's website, too... Anyone know? http://www.sephora.com/maracuja-miracle-foundation -12-hour-broad-spectrum-spf-15-P375297?skuId=14372 ...
Hey girls, So I been using the Bite line & define lip primer/liner and honestly, I ain't too pleased with it. I use a lot of Revlon Super Lustrous lipsticks and they don't seem to adhere to the primer at all. It usually goes on my teeth or smudges big time and I have to keep re-applying. Is there not a way to make the lipstick stick and stay longer ?. I also find with eating it's gone quickly too. I've done the whole lip liner filling in lips trick too it's not working for me either.
I have light skin with cool undertones, light brown hair & grey eyes. My standard eye shadow routine is pale yellow-gold for the highlight, bronze in the crease, and dark brown in the corner. I recently got a sample of stila's kitten and it's either too pink or too shimmery for me to use as a highlighter - it just makes me look old. Which of the naked pallets would best suit my coloring?
I bought the lip kit because it seemed like a deal. 8 lipsticks of .07 oz size each it said. The regular size is .14 oz, the decision was easy. But the more mini lipsticks I'm getting, the harder it is to believe each lipstick is .07 oz. I've compared it to the Kat Von D and Buxom minis and they seem like the same size as those two, yet they're only .04 oz. (Buxom looks taller but thinner). If you have these, can you compare and tell me if I'm crazy? Is the .07oz lipstick only, or does it include packaging? Maybe they meant .07 for each tube, which has two lipsticks in one.
I know a few BTers were still looking for this palette, so hopefully it stays in stock long enough for everyone to get one! http://www.sephora.com/joy-to-the-girls-P383428?ic id2=carousel_HP_121913_ThrillWithPalettes_andValue ...
I love these pencils, but the funny thing is I only use them as shadows. They work really well and are easy to blend. I'm wondering if anyone has bought the UD Glide-On Eye Shadow Pencils and the Ocho Loco 2 Pencils. If so, was there a differences? That $20 an eyeshadow pencil will prevent me from buying them.
So the Julep maven window is open today. What are you girls choosing this month? Add-ons? Skipping? I can't decide. Some of the add-ons are already sold out. They have me as an IT Girl but I'm not sure I want/need another white polish.
I have been loving the trend for vivid and deep lipsticks but I often want more wear and coverage than I get from lipstick alone. I have medium brown skin and pretty pigmented two-tone lips. I've tried the "same color as your lips" liner thing but I don't like how it alters the color of my lipsticks. I have a clear liner from Sephora brand which I love for increasing wear but it obviously doesn't help with coverage. I am considering colored liner but I'm not sure where to start. Do I really need a new one for every shade? Is this a good one? http://www.sephora.com/retractable-waterproof-lip- liner-P257801?skuId=1214568
If so, no wonder I'm not get as good color payoff as everyone else. I usually apply the primer first thing along with my facial moisturizer (gee, maybe I'm doing that wrong as well), dry my hair, do face makeup, then eyes. I just read an article that said to apply eye shadow while the primer is fresh. What's fresh? wet? slightly tacky? TIA!
Well, my Mom survived **major** back surgery this past week, and is in recovery. I flew out to take care of her during her first week. Since she is out of commission and taking major pain meds, she is not feeling too pretty or in control... so to make her feel better and beautiful, I brought a holiday nail supply kit and did her nails. She loved it so much, and now is feeling very feminine and in the holiday spirit. Funny what a little love and enamel can do! Here is her new look for the holidays:
I'm 26 and I need a new undereye concealer. I have genetic dark circles and I'm starting to notice some fine lines. The concealer I use currently (a drugstore brand when I ran out of my mac) settles into the lines and magnifies them, not cool! My eyes are a little oily, when I add it to my upper lids it also creates lines that I have to smudge out mid-day. I need something hydrating but not too oily, possibly something that fills lines or at least blurs them.
I was looking at these for a long time, but for some reasons never really got into them and didn't pull the trigger... I have a few questions for you all about them! 1. Do they ever dry out your lips? 2. How long do they last? thanks in advanced :*
Hey girls, So I am home sick today and when I stopped in to pick up my prescriptions, I hit the make-up isle. I forgot about this eyeshadow palette that had me mesmerized from when I was picking up a package from the boyfriend over by the post office. I had purchased it and swatched it. I'm impressed with the pigmentation of this palette, and excited to try it out !. I think that this brand is a little under appreciated because it's ' drugstore quality '. However this is definitely a great purchase and while I said I wanted to stop buying makeup for a while I couldn't resist this baby !. I'm planning to test this out maybe today or tomorrow if I don't collapse and recuperate in the mean time !. Have a great Friday girls !. While your at it share your thought on this palette or this brand's eyeshadow selection.
I am trying to reorder Make Up For Ever and can not find the color type on my current bottle. The botton has the numbers #1 TC31A but when I enter that in the search I get no results. Can anyone help me identify my color so I can reorder?
My too faced chocolate bar palette arrived (like a half hour ago), and I just wanted to share my opinion for those considering it. Overall, I've seen some good reviews online, however there were some people that were kind of iffy on some of the shade formulations. I briefly swatched my palette and have to say I'm pretty impressed. Now remember I haven't actually worn it on my eyes yet though...but swatching, most of the shadows were really soft and buttery, definitely have great pigment. The only shadows that I think had a slightly drier texture were the ones with the micro glitter in them (candied violet, black forest truffle, and cherry cordial) . The metallic and mattes are excellent. The texture of the three micro glitters I mentioned is not a deal breaker for me, and most likely for my purposes those colors would be more of accent colors as opposed to the ones that carry the palette. One last note though is that you have to be a fan of browns for this to please you. Even swatching, I was having trouble discerning the differences of the shades unless I inspected closely....for example Hazelnut, Haute Chocolate, and Amaretto looked very similar to me at first. However when swatching them together I saw Amaretto has a slightly pinkish sheen to it and the other two are gold and bronze sheens. If you want a good collection of browns this is your set.
