Hello, so my color iq is 3Y03 which is my current shade of 120 for Makeup Forever powder. But, I would like to try the Laura Mercier Smooth Finish Foundation Powder and am a bit confused on which shade to get. Thanks for the help!
A decent portion of my cheek is naturally rosy 24/7. I just wanted to know if there was a particular way of contouring that would look better than others? Or is it that I just can't contour because of my complexion?
I have been using the Clinique Redness Line including the Probiotic Anti-Redness Foundation, & switch up here & there to the Tinted Moisturizer (Moisture Surge). Now, I almost bought the MJ #2 brush night before last but took it out of my box, & went and bought a RT brush that was as close to it as possible (& washed my Sephora stippling & UD brushes, lol... wow). The clean brushes are better than before (SUPRISE, right! lol), & the RT is really pretty darn good (still want the MJ#2 though ).... however my foundation still looks blah. Really Blah. My face just looks real dry/ caked up & I just don't like it at all. I look yuck. * I have dry (normal-dry w/out foundation) skin & it is sensitive. I do live in a really humid place, but it hasn't hit yet. * Do you have any suggestions for me please? Feeling ugly over here! I have 1 more question to throw 1 too please: I think the Too Faced Powder ( I sometimes use when in a hurry & want to look like somebody (lol, even myself out, etc.), & the new Milk Chocolate Bronzer could be causing me to break out. Has anyone else had any experience w/ this? I use the Snow Bunny Luminizing Bronzer all the time w/ no problems ( maybe b/c there is no cocoa-cocoa in it?) What are y'all's thoughts on this while I am here asking for help? Thanks in advance as Always!
So i just got Ruby Woo in the mail! YAYYY!! I have been wearing Heatwave for a while, which i will sometimes change out with catfight. What is your favorite true red? Or the one that you think sticks around and doesn't feather the best? I think my next purchase may be Lady Danger.
I'm wearing a red dress with gold and silver beading for prom. I think I am going to do an up-do since my dress is a meshed back. I don't know how i should do my makeup. What color eye shadow should I use? BTW I have pretty oily skin. Thanks!
On a more positive note, did anyone see some of the celebrity looks from the Met Gala? I absolutely loved the theme this year, "China: Through the Looking Glass". Me being the weirdo, I tend to focus on their make-up almost more than their dresses! So what were some of your favorite looks? Some of my favorites were... Jennifer Lawrence (Look at that Glow!) Amal Clooney (So classic!) and Gabrielle Union! (Such a perfect shade of plum!)
I've already decided the Naked 1 palettes colors are too dark for my daily wear. I don't know what will be better for me I like warmer tones but I want somewhat of a variety. I have blonde hair and green eyes
I love MAKE UP FOR EVER Face and Body Liquid as a light coverage foundation in the summer, but I am so pale that I can only wear it later in the summer when my face is tanned. Does anyone have a suggestion for a similar type of foundation that comes in paler colours for the next few months? My skin is normal-to-dry, but sensitive to anything comedogenic (which in my case, includes BB creams, CC creams, and tinted moisturizers -- anything that wants to soak into my skin is not my friend). I wear 115 Ivory in their HD Invisible Cover Foundation, and my winter Color IQ is 1R03. Thanks in advance!
I've got fair skin (right now I have a little bit of a tan for the first time in almost a decade!), and I'm trying to find a good everyday lipstick. My sister's friend recommended a cantaloupey-coral color, or I'm wondering if a red lip would be too much for every day. What do you think?
So i went to the air show this weekend. And it would seem that Smiths Strawberry Lip Balm has zero sunscreen in it. Ya'll have anything that would work for my super duper sunburned lips?!?! My shoulders also got red, but i am taking care of that with tea!
From the swatches, this palette looks so pretty! However; I am concerned with the pigmentation of the blush. I looks orange-y and I have fair skin with pink undertones. With the colour difuse different on the skin? Is it still worth a buy if the blush is a flop (in your opinions, obvs)? Thanks!
I'm been searching long and far for a substitution for the one shade I have run out of in my naked 2 palette, Booty Call (shimmering cork). Of course, UD does not sell it separately. Has anyone found a substitution for this eyeshadow? Thanks!!
I'm using Makeup Forever Matte primer with their foundation, but I've noticed when I go to put the foundation on it tends to feel like the brush sticks and has difficultly applying. I'm using the Urban Decay foundation brush. I've never had this issue before with Smashbox so I'm not sure what to do. Thanks!
Help! I use a matte primer from Becca, which works great with my makeup for the first half of the day. When I try to retouch my makeup later in the day or even touch my face it get splotchy and comes off so easily. If I apply more product it looks cakey and doesnt blend at all as it would during my initial application. What am I doing wrong here or how can I fix this problem?
Sephora no longer carries my go-to concealer, Korres Quercetin & Oak Antiageing & Antiwrinkle Concealer ITEM 1324573 COLOR 01 Fair - fairest skin with neutral undertones. What do you recommend instead?
Sooooo I've been looking for a liquid eye liner, and I'm new to liners and have never worn it before. (my eye makeup is usually mascara and eye shadow) I am only interested in liquid liners as I feel like they glide on more smoothly without all the tugging and pulling on the eye lid. I was interested in the Kat Van D tattoo liner, or one from Stila that is a water proof liquid liner. ( Cant remember the exact name) I would prefer it to be in an under $20 or so range, and would like recommendations by this Tuesday(the 5th of May) as its my birthday and I will be heading to Sephora then. I really am looking for a long lasting all day black smudge proof, (water proof, etc) liquid liner. ~~ Thanks so much for any suggestions or opinions on letting me know which is personally your favorite. <3
I have a small bald spot in my eyebrow because of a scar I have there and am looking for a product that would fill in my eyebrows and cover the little bald spot (It is rather small btw) Any suggestions? I have been looking at some Anastasia products. Are there any particularly good ones any one has tried? Also if you want to see what I am talking about with the bald spot you can see it clearly in some of the photos I have posted on my profile.
I just got a beautyblender and used it yesterday, once i finished i cleaned it then put it on top of its plastic container to dry and it still has not shrunk back to its former size. It has not shrunk at all! Does any one know why it is like that? or has this happened to any one else?
I got a sample for the shade Perfect Ginger but I feel this is too dark on me, in fact it is now that I'm looking at it. I'm a match perfect for the new Nars foundation Fiji. Would the Praline product be closer to that? I'm supposedly a medium but my skin is a bit lighter than that. I was trying out foundations cause I want like a dewy finish but I have an oily nose and the rest of my face is normal. I was also considering YSL and I believe my shade would be B30. Any recommendations from a BT staff? I have a yellow undertone.
I know its expensive but i really need help finding the right shade, theirs no store near me that has it for me to try on. I'm a NC15 in the MAC foundation. I've worn MAC for years and really wanna try something different.
