So I had this Olay click pen, which I love because I could just throw it in my purse for touch ups. I liked that it treated my eyes as well. Now what would be a similar product at Sephora? I don't want just a regular concealer or illuminator in a click pen, I want something that treats and moisturise. Thanks!
I am so excited to try this! It's available on Dior's site now, any idea when we might see it on Sephora? "Inspired by the professional illuminating techniques and expertise of its makeup artists, Dior invents Diorskin Star, its 1st brightening foundation: a weightless fluid capable of recreating the spectacular and perfecting light of Dior's studios. - The complexion is instantly more luminous and visibly more even. A new generation of hollow silica beads captures and diffuses light in a correcting halo with no shine. At the same time, colour-filter pigments neutralize colour imbalances to recreate the perfect light. - The complexion is clarified with a purer, more dazzling and long-lasting light. Anti-"light-trap" skincare ingredients help reduce the appearance of dark areas, pigment spots and redness."
I've been scouring the Internet, but only product pictures and gloss swatches come up. Are they super new? Anyway, I'm looking for a neutral kind of no-blush blush that adds a bit of flush and definition without much color and it seems like a couple of them could fit the bill. Or, if anyone can recommend a different blush that would accomplish that, that would be cool, too. Here's the product I'm talking about... http://www.sephora.com/blush-volupte-heart-of-ligh t-powder-blush-P388641?skuId=1625524
I know alot of you guys love the brand. They have a good selection on HauteLook right now. I've never used them before. Please share any insight you have! The blushes look pretty. What's the quality like? Happy Shopping!
I own the anniversary set of the brushes for Sonia Kashuk and I love them. However I hardly ever shop at Target and do not buy makeup from there, but I have been curious about these brands makeup wise when I do go in. So what do you guys think of them? Is there something specific I should try out? The Pixi liner's sound really nice.
I bought recently the Bite lip duo that has the two colors Lychee and Musk and I am in love! Now Musk I see you buy in full size but I did not see the color Lychee in full size. Does anyone know if this color is available in full size or a shade that is similar? That color is my perfect nude for my fair skin. Thanks for the help
I was recently gifted a $25 gift card, which I am very excited to use, but I have no idea what to get. I figured I would need a little more cash to cover the cost of what I may want, so I decided to budget myself at $40 so I wouldn't have to spend too much money. As excited as I am to go shopping, I have no idea what to get. I was thinking I would try Josie Maran's makeup because I have been loving their skincare, but then I started looking into other brands and their products so I am no longer sure what I want to get. So I was wondering what makeup products you guys would recommend that are under $40. I am pretty much open to any type of makeup because I always love trying new items and new brands.
So school is soon approaching and I am going to be starting my masters degree in Epidemiology (excited yet scared)! Anyways, I am certain that I am going to be very busy and will only be able to go to the gym between class breaks or before class starts. Other than that, I will be researching, with clients, or TAing. My question is, do you or should you go to the gym with makeup on? If you do, what do you do with your face afterwards? Obviously I do not want to reapply my makeup on a sweaty face and if I shower, I would have to start my whole skincare regime again followed by makeup (which takes quite a long time). In addition, I would be in a male locker room and could you imagine what those "gym jocks" would think if they saw me doing my routine ... oh please (I hate when people judge). Any tips, advice or suggestion would be great to hear! Definitely let me know, thank you so much in advance! Michael, xo
Please share your Personal Tips/Products/Tricks to Minimize Under Eye Concealer from Creasing. Also, what under eye products...Moisturizer/Primer/Concealer/Tool(s) do you use? There are always products/suggestions/tips that are very helpful that haven't been tried or a new method to what may have worked in the past that needs tweaking as our skin changes! I have a personal interest in ALL your suggestions for Dry, Crepey or Mature Under Eye Skin Texture trouble shooting. P.S. I've had a sudden weight loss which makes my under eye area look like a deflated balloon. I'm unable to use HA's due to sensitivity having to ditch everything with high amounts of HA's. This post isn't limited to my concerns...it's to address a Common Shared Concern by many people of under eye creasing with the use of make-up in general!
I love the YSL Touche Eclat foundation but I can't find the right color. I've tried Beige 10 (its to light) and Beige Dore 10 (slightly to dark that its noticeable even when well blended). Any suggestions? My best match is the Estee Lauder Double Wear Light in 1.0. A lot of paler are people are wearing B30? Is it lighter than the ones I mentioned?
I tried to achieve a matte lips look with loose powder (LM translucent powder) over a tissu (and half a tissu) and when I removed tissu, the result is matte but all color seem to stay on the tissu instead of my lips. So, I'd like to get some trick to get this look without buying (again) other lipsticks. Thanks!!!
I just spotted this on Temptalia.... They are 10 for $12 or 30 for $22... I just... why? Why would you spend over (or almost) a dollar for a lip wipe? Am I missing something here? Are we too good for a spitty tissue to wipe off mistakes or stain?
I have oily, acne prone skin that is super light. I have tried Bobbi Brown's foundation, Kat Von D, & Benefit foundations, all were in the lightest shade and still seemed too dark for my skin. I am looking for a full coverage, matte foundation that has enough shades that the lightest one would be able to work for a very fair person. Does any one have any suggestions? Also what is a good foundation brush to use that packs a lot of coverage?
I currently use the Body Shop's Seaweed Mattifying Day Cream. It does a great job controlling my oil throughout the day and making my face nice and matte before I put on my foundation. A couple of times I decided to skip the primer and just applied my foundation after moisturizing. Honestly the only thing I noticed was that my nose got really oily but the rest of my face was perfectly fine. Do you think I can do without? Or should I just apply primer to my nose only? Not sure which direction I should go.
I bought it yesterday and not sure I like it on my skin.. I bought the color light boost and it's yellow but idk.. I'm thinking of getting my money back. I used it to brighten up my eyes but it looks a bit ashy. I normally use mac prolong wear concealer in nw25 to cover dark circles, and then I use maybelline fit me concealer in sand to brighten it up. I feel like this is a better method. I wanted to try something different so I bought the mac brightener but I'm not too crazy about it.
I was reading the newspaper last week when I saw the title How I Stopped the MAC Attack in the Everyday Cheapskate column by Mary Hunt. Ms. Hunt decided to part company with MAC and find drugstore substitutions that were not only cheaper but also of an equal or better quality than her MAC products. I will put her list down below and her comments (MH) about the product. Hope this is helpful! MAC Studio Fix Fluid Foundation (C3) = Revlon Colorstay Whipped Creme Makeup 250 (Medium Beige) MH: Full coverage, lightweight and just plain amazing MAC Studio Fix Pressed Powder (C3) = Physicians Formula Magic Mosaic Pressed Powder MH: Light, glides on and doesn't get clumpy MAC Pre + Prime Skin Primer = Monistat Chafing Gel MH: Yes it sounds crazy but it's outstanding and outperforms any primer she knows. MAC Eyeliner Pencil = Prestige Waterproof Eyeliner MH: Smooth, glides on better and waterproof MAC Studio Sculpt Lash Mascara = L'Oreal Voluminous Mascara MAC Lipstick (Sequin) = L'Oreal Paris Colour Riche matte finish in 560 Saucy Mauve
I've used Lancomes 24hr foundation for a long time and it has worked out pretty well but sometimes it just doesn't. In the morning I use Benefits primer for oily skin and a silicone based primer from Sephora on certain acne spots and use my beauty blender to apply my foundation. It has worked all summer but never during school. Any suggestions? I used to use a brush to apply my make up or fingers but I tend to switch it up. I use Urban Decay's setting spray but they don't help much either. I'm also the lightest shade possible with a neutral tone. help
