So I buy minis of mascaras because even though I use my mascara almost every day I can't seem to use it up.....it's been 5 months now that I have had my mini benefit they're real and I still think it works just fine. I really want to try to use it up or at least wait till it dries out. Do I have to throw it away??
Ok, so not scared per se, but this is for people who want to wear lip stick but are having a hard time adjusting to it. I for one would love to get more into wearing things beyond lip balm (as I am so notorious for doing). But its hard! Those of us who are used to naked lips need support and encouragement as we foray into this wide world of color and stuff... Look here is some cuteness for inspiration. I also have the added problem of having lip rings (I have what is apparently called a "spider bite" style piercing which is two rings close together.) It makes it even harder not to make a complete mess.
I've never been somewhere that someone applies makeup to my face, so Sephora in JCP just opened up next to me and suppppper excited since I don't have to travel more than an hour away to one anymore! That said, I'm going tomorrow for their Too Faced : Joy to the Girls event for BIs. WOOHOOOO!!! So is it proper to go bare faced or should I wear atleast my face makeup (foundation / powder)? I mean I don't want to waste my personal product nor do I want to look like a zombie walking in there. lol
There's clearly an underlying trend with my faves, but I promise they all translate differently on the eyes and for different purposes . These are all part of the permanent range and/or are still available for purchase. -Benefit Creaseless Cream Shadow in B-day Suit: This is my favorite base to use on days when I'm wearing neutral powdered eyeshadows. Despite its sheer nature, it really amps up any taupes or grays I layer over it. I find that Benefit Creaseless shadows aren't too long-wearing, which is why I prefer using them as bases. One pot will also last you for a couple of years without drying out. (MAC paint pots, I'm looking at you!) -Chanel Illusion D'ombre in Initiation: One of the best holiday purchases this year, this bad boy is packed with shimmer and glitter -- perfect for this time of year! However, the glitter particles do not migrate throughout the day. This is probably one of the more opaque Illusion D'ombres Chanel offers, and it's just beautiful. Just go and pick it up. You'll be thanking me later -Diorshow Fusion Mono in 821 Chimere: This is perfect for days when I'm running late but still want something on my eyes with minimal effort. Chimere pulls rose gold under some lights and goldish brown in others -- truly a multi-faceted shade! The shimmer is quite noticeable, don't get me wrong, but it's still toned down enough that I would say is work appropriate. -Maybelline Color Tattoo in Barely Beige: Maybelline really outdid themselves with these Color Tattoos, as I find them far superior than MAC paint pots in terms of staying power and not creasing as the day goes on. I particularly like using Barely Beige as a base for champagne and peachy-pink powdered shadows. I haven't had any issues with these cream shadows drying out, but even if they did, I'm not complaining as they're a fraction of the price of most higher end ones. -Tarte Amazonian Clay Waterproof Cream Shadow in Slate: I'm a huge fan of the Tarte Amazonian line for the eyes, and the huge dent in the pot is a good indication of how often I reach for this product. It's the perfect taupe shade in a cream form for me, as it pulls neither too warm nor too cool on my eyes. Again, another one of those pop on the lids and blend into the crease with my fingers of a shadow and I'm out the door. What are some of your favorite cream shadows?
I ordered a Naked3 palette a little while ago and got such a kick out of the reviews. So many of them are "can't wait to get it" or "I just ordered!" People are voting "no" for the "Was this review helpful" question. http://www.sephora.com/naked3-P384099
Just ran into these babies while browsing dermstore. Anyone here a Vincent Longo fan? I've been curious about his stuff but it's hard to come by. The eyeshadows seemed pretty nice when I swatched some at Nordstroms. These sets are so tempting and appear to be on sale today!
Does anybody know the American name for the eyeshadow 026 GOLDEN MAHOGANY? I know that the names are different in different contries. http://www.makeup4all.com/wp-content/uploads//2012 /01/LOreal-Color-Infaillible-Eye-Shadows-in-026-Go ...
Hey girls, So I happen to LOVE the colour red. I thought why not ask your thoughts on wearing red eyeshadow or red eyeliner ?. I know it's not a colour most people would be able to pull off. However I believe there are a lot of you ladies who would be willing to try and make it work or have made it work :-D
What's your Holy Grail for foundation brushes?? 😄 if you have a different favorite for powder, liquid, cream, bbs, airbrush, ect. list them all! And please tell us why you love them. 😌 Shoot let's go even further what is your HG brush for all areas of make up? What do you use it for? And again why is it so great?
Im curious what are your favorite transfer-proof or at least "less transferring" lipstick. My husband has been getting a little weird when I wear dark lipcolor (admittedly since I ruined one of his favorite hoodie) LOL
I hope Im not the only one… I received a delivery confirmation that my Sephora package was delivered to my front door at 7:31PM. My husband was home all night. The UPS guy usually knocks on the door… I left for my dance class around 7:30 ish and actually followed the UPS truck starting a house or two down from mine. I never saw him stop the truck when I was backing down my driveway. I get home from dance around 9:00 and see the delivery confirmation email so I rush to my doorstep… no box! We live up a ways from the street and no one ever walks near our porch. I check with my neighbors - it wasn't misdelivered to them I call UPS they say to call Sephora. I call Sephora and they have to wait 24 hours before reporting a claim. The Rouge Customer Service lady was great, but I was so so so so sad (ok I cried a little), because some of my items are no longer available so if this box is lost, then I can't get them. My husband and I think that the UPS guy just scanned the label to show delivered and then kept driving (because our driveway is dark, its freezing cold and it was past 7:30). I am really upset because I know that no one would have taken it off of our porch. I REALLY think it wasn't delivered. I hope it wasn't delivered to the UPS guy's wife. or to a sneaky neighbor (look at how my imagination is running wild!) When it comes to my Sephora orders, I'm pretty protective What are your thoughts? I want this-
Okay ladies(gents), I really want to try a new foundation. I have been using the UD naked foundation in 3.5 and I'm not to big of a fan of it. I only bought it because a sephora employee suggested it to me. It's thick to me even when I hardly apply any it still looks not cakey but wierd on me like it doesn't want to apply in a nice thin layer. Okay here goes all my skin info: honestly I'm not sure if I have normal or oily skin. I just know it's not dry and it's not combination, because when it does get oily it's the same all over not just in a few places. I should probably know my skin type but I don't. :/ type of foundation I want: I don't think I like matte too much I like more of a natural yet gorgeous look. Something that makes my skin look flawless without it looking like I actually have something on my face. Like when you 1st step out of the shower and your skin looks all perfect and slightly dewy because it just got all that moisture. I don't care what the coverage is I can add concealer to cover a little more or add a primer to make the consistency a little less if needed too. If it is sheer I would prefer it to be able to be nicely buildable. I also don't care if it's liquid, cream, powder, ect. It can be anything as long as it looks flawless! Hmm I can't think of anything else besides a may be a tad acne prone. Thank you!
I have been loving the trend for vivid and deep lipsticks but I often want more wear and coverage than I get from lipstick alone. I have medium brown skin and pretty pigmented two-tone lips. I've tried the "same color as your lips" liner thing but I don't like how it alters the color of my lipsticks. I have a clear liner from Sephora brand which I love for increasing wear but it obviously doesn't help with coverage. I am considering colored liner but I'm not sure where to start. Do I really need a new one for every shade? Is this a good one? http://www.sephora.com/retractable-waterproof-lip- liner-P257801?skuId=1214568
Did anyone get the MAC Hautecore lipstick on Black Friday? Or if you didn't get your hands on it, will you get it in the upcoming Punk Couture collection? I kinda wanna get it because it is LE but I kinda don't and I wanna try black lipstick. I've seen more and more ladies wear black and it looks amazing. It's the ultimate vampy lip. Wet N' Wild has a matte black lipstick called Pagan Angel that is better quality and it's $2.99 compared to Hautecore's $15 price tag. Do you think its worth getting Hautecore or should I get Pagan Angel instead?
Not being a pro at makeup or anything, I've been using the same drugstore brushes for a while, and only applicators for eyeshadows. I want to upgrade to a good but not extremely expensive beginners brush set, and I was wondering if anyone had recommendations? I had my eye on the Too Faced Teddy Bear brush set for a while, but some of the reviewers said it didn't pick up product well. I'm now considering the Sephora Holiday Light Show brushe set, but if anyone has any suggestions (or agree that it would be a good choice!), please share! Thank you so much lovelies <3
I am looking for a new foundation to try out, I've always used drugstore brands, besides a time I used Clinique but didn't feel it was much better than what I could find for a fourth the price. I am looking for that airbrushed flawless look, with glow! (everyones dream, right?) I have fine lines in my forehead that I haven't been able to find a good foundation to cover, as well as the occasional blemish. My skin is normal-dry. With so many products its hard to decide which to put my money into and I want it to truly be great with covering fine lines, glow, and long lasting!
All images courtesy of Musings of a Muse Still a little ways away, for this collection, but I'm drooling over it. That shadow palette looks gorg, same with the blushes, and so many pretty shades of the La Creme lipsticks! (didn't post pictures with all the shades)
I've been pondering purchasing a non-prescription lash enhancer, specifically the PTR and Tarte versions, but they're pretty pricey. Has anyone tried one of these, or any others? If so, what was your experience? Thanks!
I just happened to see a teeny tiny little sign about this promo 2 months ago, forgot all about it but my phone calendar helpfully reminded me! Now until the 15th while supplies last, get a free mini chubby stick intense in Broadest Berry or MightiestMaraschino with a skin consultation. Pretty sure this is nationwide ( not sure about Canada, though). Is it sad that I went to 2 Macy's to get both? ( There are 2 stores within 5 miles of me so it's not as bad as it sounds, right?)
http://www.sephora.com/colorful-eyeshadow-portfoli o-P377681?skuId=1596121 Is it just me, or is Sephora tripping? $600 for 80 of their no name eyeshadows? You can buy those Coastal Scents palettes for like $40. I can't believe anyone would buy this.
I've been using the Lingerie de peau, and I find that there's not many foundations out there that matches up.. but unfortunately, my color is sold out, and I wanted to buy a few foundations this holiday season.. Has anyone tried the parure de lumiere? I know its supposed to be for dry skin, but I've read that some people think its too "matte" or "dry"for their skin. I have combination skin, and is looking for a few foundations to use in the summer when I tend to be a bit oilier but not a full blown oily skin
I have my MAC lipstick on today. It's their Longwear Lipglass. The color is Driven by Love. On my eyes, I have my favorite palette, Urban Decay 2. Lashes are Benefit, Yes They're Real mascara. And gotta love my Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation in Truffle and my blush is Nars Desert Rose.
I won the Benefit 2 truths and a lie contest so I will get to chose $250 in products. I'm new to the brand but entered because I loved the birthday gift this year but now I'm wondering what to get. I'm thinking of getting the Advent Calendar full of minis and trying Gimmie Brow. Any suggestions for me? Best concealer, best highlighter, maybe the Hoola big size for contouring? Any brushes you love? Please help me out! *edit* Final prezzie haul arrived! Thank you for all your wonderful suggestions
