With my blue eyes, I've found coppers and brassy colors and golds really bring out the blue tones. I've been relying on drugstore finds (with the exception of an Urban Decay 24/7 liquid liner in Eldorado) for my warm-metallic fix, but I'm always looking for recommendations for nicer products. Does anyone have any all-star products that fit this (incredibly vague, I know) description to recommend?
So i love lip gloss mostly because lipstick isn't too great for me. I have really dry lips that I cant get rid off. My Neutrogena lip balm with SPF 20 is a must every morning and night or my lips will bug me the whole time. I usually place my balm on before I use my mac creme sheen or Lancôme lip sticks. I tend to stay within the deeper pinks it's a natural color for my lips. so to my point(: what lip glosses do any of you recommend ? Or love? any great lip glosses that aren't really thick and sticky? Ive been thinking about trying out Loracs lip with Benefit lip gloss in the color: Chuck(nude). pix = the color of lipstick I tend to stick to and would love a lip gloss in that color. The lighting is kinda bad.sorry.
...and the perfect blush application method! I'm sorry for starting so many threads recently...well, I'm sorry I'm not sorry There are just so many opinions that I'd like to know about! Anyway, I currently use Kevyn Aucoin The Creamy Glow n Très Belle, and I apply it with a beautyblender. It seems that here on BT, many favor four brands, in no particular order: Nars, Tarte, Benefit, Dior. Here's the application/look I'm going for: What's your take/recommendation? Thank you! <3
Hi everyone, I have a darker mouth area compared to the rest of my face. It's not super dark, but it is noticeable. For reference, I am NC 20-25 and my mouth area is about NC 35. If you guys have any idea on how to conceal this and what products would be helpful, please let me know. Thanks!
So I buy minis of mascaras because even though I use my mascara almost every day I can't seem to use it up.....it's been 5 months now that I have had my mini benefit they're real and I still think it works just fine. I really want to try to use it up or at least wait till it dries out. Do I have to throw it away??
Hey guys! So i'm 13 years old, about 5'4 and 124 pounds. I just kinda want to lose a few pounds cuz y'all probs know how hard it is to be even the slightest bit "bigger" in this society. I'm not like fat or anything but losing the weight wouldnt hurt. My boyfriends pretty supportive of it. I'm generally active... I do cross country therefore I run everyday. Please answer soon i'd really appreciate it. xoxo, Jessi
I love having something to look forward to while studying, and I'd love to see some of you beautiful people share with me (and of course, the rest of this lovely community) one of your favorite looks you've created--on yourself or, perhaps, a loved one. I love seeing others' creativity in action. It is so inspiring! Here's one of mine, to be fair: Though I've done better makeup-wise, I loved my outfit and hair here...I wish I could dress like this every day
I'm really really in need of some new eyeliner, I use pencils right now because I'm don't exactly the steadiest hands, but I'm finding it fades, smudges and "waterproof" is never truly so. I'm hearing awesome things about liquid eyeliner pens and want to give it a shot, does anyone know an awesome waterproof product that can do thinner and/or thicker lines? Thanks xoxo
so i am about to purchase the KVD foundation and i cannot decide which brush to go along with it, i would want a brush that will give me a full coverage, airbrush look. there is just so many i can't decide and i don't wanna risk buying the wrong one. is there anyone who uses this foundation, and if so which brush do you use to apply it? oh i am going to purchase the beauty blender to try it out, i still want a brush though.
Hey ladies (and gents?) – As 2013 is coming to a close, I thought we’d like to share the best products we discovered/tried/bought this year. Let’s break it into sub-categories. I’ll go first Face – Laura Mercier Silk Crème foundation – I feel like this is my holy grail foundation, but I still want to try others. Eyes – Laura Mercier Artist palette – It won’t be a Laura Mercier list, I promise Lips – Dior Crème de Rose lip balm Best deal – I’m going to cheat and say two: All the mini perfumes for 100 points instead of 250 points and the Nars Guy Bourdin blush palette PS – Sorry I’ve started waaay too many threads the past few days. That’s what cabin fever will do to ya! Well, that and draining your wallet from all the online shopping you do. Lol PPS - Feel free to add other categories as well, these were the only ones I could think of at the moment.
I've never been somewhere that someone applies makeup to my face, so Sephora in JCP just opened up next to me and suppppper excited since I don't have to travel more than an hour away to one anymore! That said, I'm going tomorrow for their Too Faced : Joy to the Girls event for BIs. WOOHOOOO!!! So is it proper to go bare faced or should I wear atleast my face makeup (foundation / powder)? I mean I don't want to waste my personal product nor do I want to look like a zombie walking in there. lol
I just happened to see a teeny tiny little sign about this promo 2 months ago, forgot all about it but my phone calendar helpfully reminded me! Now until the 15th while supplies last, get a free mini chubby stick intense in Broadest Berry or MightiestMaraschino with a skin consultation. Pretty sure this is nationwide ( not sure about Canada, though). Is it sad that I went to 2 Macy's to get both? ( There are 2 stores within 5 miles of me so it's not as bad as it sounds, right?)
Hi everyone I've been collecting brushes in the past few months and ended up with a few Mac eye brushes, Mac 168 for contour, Guerlain powder brush, and Sephora pro mineral powder brush (which I'm not a huge fan of) but anyway, I need a really good foundation brush that I'll love and is going to last. I have beauty blender right now and I don't like it enough to keep repurchasing. I purchased the Makeup forever foundation brush in 108 during the vib sale, but I've shipped it to my parent's house (I go to school in Canada, and my parents live in the States) So I'm looking for the best foundation brush that's used in buffing motion (to cover up pores and achieve higher coverage). I was considering, Bobbi brown's full coverage brush Shiseido's perfect foundation brush Real techniques expert face brush, Sigma F80 (I know the behind story of the bloggers and youtubers who rave about Sigma, but I did hear that the F80 was a keeper..) Marc Jacob's face brush 2 Urban Decay's ... Is Marc Jacob's and Bobbi brown worth the extra cost? or would Urban Decay, shiseido, or even Real technique cut it? I would realli appreciate every honest review and suggestion.. I normally use a Guerlain Lingerie De peau foundation, and the Makeup forever HD foundation.. usually liquids..
Ok, so not scared per se, but this is for people who want to wear lip stick but are having a hard time adjusting to it. I for one would love to get more into wearing things beyond lip balm (as I am so notorious for doing). But its hard! Those of us who are used to naked lips need support and encouragement as we foray into this wide world of color and stuff... Look here is some cuteness for inspiration. I also have the added problem of having lip rings (I have what is apparently called a "spider bite" style piercing which is two rings close together.) It makes it even harder not to make a complete mess.
Hello everyone~ I'm fairly new to makeup and usually just use eye and lip products. I am Korean with light medium/medium skin with a yellow undertone, brown eyes, and black hair. I'm trying to decide between the new Naked 3 palette or the original palette. I do own the Naked Basics so I have some matte shadows. Which palette do you think would be best for me? Thank you!
My mom has really sensitive eyes, and I want to get her some eyeshadow for Christmas. She has tried Clinique, Lancome, and Origins eye shadows and they all make her eyelids burn. She has used other eye products from these lines, such as mascara and liner, and not had a problem. Are there any other lines that have eyeshadow that would work well for sensitive eyes? I know she would just love it if I could find her some good eyeshadow! Thank you!!
I have a few samples/palettes that require lip brushes for application. I bought the Sephora Collection Pro Lip Brush #81 (shown below), but I'm not a fan of it. Perhaps I don't know how to use it. Either way, I'm not getting the results I want. Anyone have a suggestion on a lip brush for dummies? It doesn't have to be from Sephora. I'd also be okay with someone telling me exactly how to use a lip brush.
I own a...lot.... of lipsticks. Recently I was cleaning up my makeup stash and I found an old lipstick palette from Sephora, so I cleaned out the lipsticks and everything and I'm trying to decide if I want to "build" my own lip palette. On one hand it would be great to be able to see all some of my lipsticks together when doing my makeup. On the other hand, I'm scared to chop up some of my lipsticks. What do you guys think?
