Have you guys seen these?! There are tons of shades and finishes to choose from, and you can build your own palette! I can't wait to try these; I wonder if Sephora will carry all of the shades? There are so many and I'd really like to go in and test a good chunk of them. http://www.sephora.com/artist-shadow-P387670?skuId =1622745
Okay ladies and gents I'm going to VEGAS 8/27 first time ever!!! I have a list of places I want to go...makeup wise. Inglot, sephora, CCO (is the CCO worth a special trip?). Any places (makeup) I should hit, ones I should avoid? I DO NOT (just not worth it for me) do VERY high end brands. Marc Jacobs is the most expensive brand I have. I have been saving my coins for a while and now it's time to just buy buy buy. I'm NW45/MUFE 178 so I usually only buy from companies that make products for the deeper tones. It's principle for me. Post your ideas (please please please), previous adventures, and best kept secrets! I'll post what I get when I return home and decompress. May the makeup Goddesses and Gods be forever in your favor. May your holy grail products never be discontinued or in short supply. May your favorite product drop on the floor and never break. May your makeup storage be all that you dream and cleaned and organized by sweet smelling fairies. Be makeup blessed! *can you tell I'm super excited*
I didn't start wearing makeup until I was in my 30's. The learning curve has been steep and there are still things I struggle with learning. How do I find makeup classes in my area? I don't want to go to a makeup counter, I want a true sit down and learn class. Everyone and their mama is a MUA these days how do I go about finding a TRUE MUA and taking a class? I really want to learn how do a winged liner (hooded eyes), apply eyelashes, contouring, highlighting and different shadow techniques. Can you all help me? I'm in the northeast close to DC/DelMarVa/Philly areas. TIA NAA
Here's the first Sneak Peek for the September Ipsy Bag: I actually unsubscribed last month which is a little surprising because I was a fan of the products I received in August but with holiday sets/collections coming soon I've decided that I would rather put my money there. For all of those still subscribed enjoy!
I have recently learned that Hakuhodo has an office in LA. LA is close, but not close enough for me to just go there because I want to (its 6 hours drive from the bay area) Has anyone been there? I've heard that they offer 20% discount too. if anyone is planning on going, may I ask for a favor of a couple brushes (I will pay full price plus shipping)
I have been haunting the HK section, hoping a few leftovers may turn up (Other than the two that are always there). Look what I found! Already signed up to be notified. Looking forward to seeing this collection, and I hope they have a launch party for Rouge!
Hi dolls, I'm obsessed with the what are you wearing thread on BT , but I find it hard to post a full faced selfie all the time! I noticed a lot of people are lip product junkies like myself on here and thought it would be a good thread to start. I also think it might make people more comfortable with posting a picture of their lips instead of their whole face (I know I don't want to see mines up close and personal all the time). I think a brows of the day , eyes of the day , etc. would be great too for people who aren't as comfortable posting a selfie. You can always post a selfie in this thread though (: Here's whats one my lips today! 1. Bite Beauty Rhubarb lip pencil 2. TF Perfect Lips Lip Liner in perfect spice
Hello ladies, I intend to practice contour thing. =) Can anyone recommend the contour brush which is good for beginner? I am eyeing on Tarte and Urban Decay contour brush. But wonder which one is better? Has anyone tried the new IT Brushes from Ulta yet? I took a look at them today out of curiosity. They are soooo soft. The only description my husband can come up with for how they feel is a puppy dog's ears. However it has been my experience that brushes that soft are only good for blending not applying. I'm actually quite happy with my Real Techniques but these brushes are very tempting. Anyone know if they are worth it?
I'm planning my fall outfits and I decided that mostly I will wear this cool style. However what kind of makeup do you think I should do? I was thinking something simple like glowing skin and ponytail and maybe a red lip??? I'm just curious what you guys think... Thanks
Hi I got a Sephora color pallet box available during the holidays. It had lipsticks that pulled out from right Side, Eyeshadows in Middle, and eye creams on left side. I love this but there are some real favorites. I was wondering If anyone knows where to find the information on what the colors are? So I can go buy them at the store.
Hi everyone, I'm looking to use my NARS pure radiant tinted moisturizer again to even out my skin tone, rather than just my concealer and powder. I have combination, sensitive and sometimes acne prone skin ( but it's been clear recently ) I have started using a moisturizer by clinique which seems to be working well and doesn't get too oily for my face. When I used to use my NARS TM with a different moisturizer, my face would get too oily and I would often break out. I'm wondering if it may work better with this moisturizer, or if I could mix a little NARS in with my moisturizer to conceal? I've also heard that NARS tm actually clogs your pores? Does anyone have any advice? Thank you!!
Hey all! I'm going shopping this labor day weekend to sephora and nordstrom. What are some good makeup recommendations from either store. Or perhaps good beauty deals? Ive been thinking about getting another too faced melted lipstick (i have melted peony) and maybe another too faced la creme (i have nude beach I believe)
Hi BTers! I am wondering if anyone has any recommendations on an inexpensive fluffy crease/blending brush similar to the MAC 217. I see a ton of tutorials where people use this brush and it looks amazing, but I'm not sure I want to spend that much on a single brush right now. Does anyone know of any other good ones?? Thanks!!
Finally a member of the red-card club! Love the new MUFE artist shadow palettes; the colors look so good together. And thanks to Lisa at the Lenox Mall (Atlanta) store for being so sweet and helping me with a false-eyelash lesson.
I’m a Canadian makeup artist and I was ready to buy so many eyeshadows from the new Makeup forever Artist shadows at Sephora online. Then I saw that the discount is for U.S customers only. It’s such a good deal too. I’m just so upset by this I’m feeling anti-Makeup forever right now to be honest
Hi ladies! In about a week and a half, I will be going on a trip to New Zealand for two weeks. I'm super excited Obviously I cannot carry all my skincare and liquid foundation etc. in their original containers, so I'm wondering if anyone has suggestions for travel-size bottles and containers? The Sephora brand sets don't have such great reviews unfortunately
Please tell me Sephora will have them soon. Charlotte is a red to die for, and Jeanne and Ingrid are also at the top of my list. Can't wait! Hoping Sephora also has the NARS fall collection soon. The new Satin Lip pencils are already in stock, (cranberry and rose brown, I forget the names), but Jardin Perdu where are you? Waiting on pins and needles!!!
I am 35, need a foundation that is oil free, light weight, anti-aging (that doesn't fill in wrinkles and large pores), always can see my wrinkles more w/ makeup on, have tried both powder and liquid, I like the CC creams
I have several foundations but I really haven't found one that really clicks with me, except for the new Laura Mercier flawless foundation, I still haven't finished my sample but when I do I'm going to buy the actual size. Thing is, that one has a matte finish on me, which I like but I want something glowy. I was thinking of buying YSL Touche Eclat but I dont know if that one is a good fit for me since I do get oilly around the nose and it's more noticeable with the Texas heat. To get to the point of this title, would you recommend nars sheer glow? It looks like it'd have a satin finish but it still gives you the type of radiance that I'm trying to find... thoughts, suggestions, anything is welcome, thanks! Oh, just to mention what foundations i have: Big Easy Tarte 12 hr clay foundation LM flawless sample elf flawless foundation MUFE velvet mat Illamasqua skin base I don't like powder foundations, I had bought a TF powder foundation.. just not my thing. :\
