I've been using the pencil for the longest time, but got to try out a sample of the brow powder duo today and absolutely loved it. It seems easier to apply, and looks more natural (to me). For those of you who've used both of these, how do they compare to you? Is the staying power of the powder duo long enough (or longer than the pencil?)?
Maaaannnn. Whenever I look around on here, everyone has these awesome eyebrows. Very neat/tidy and that awesome high arch. My eyebrows are a mess. I used to get a anastasia wax brow treatment every month or so but I moved to Canada and I can't seem to find that same treatment anywhere. Right now I'm just pluckin' at them myself but obviously I suck at it. What products do you guys use and how? Gel? Pencils? Powder?! I want tidy eyebrows! Here are my eyebrows. Daaaaaamn.
I don't know if any of you ladies know about this but Sonia Kashuk just came out with a LE 15 piece brush set in celebration of their 15th anniversary. I just picked up the last one in my town today during my lunch break. I personally think this is a steal. It is $40 at Target. If you can find it, I suggest to get it right there and then because this set is sold out almost everywhere and each Target in the US and Canada each get 2 sets. Go on to Target's website and use the "find in a Target store" and click on "pick up in store" if it shows up to reserve it. Sonia Kashuk is trying to keep it in stock but it keeps selling out. This set will be available until October according to their customer service line. If anyone wants to know how they perform, let me know and I will do a small review here on BT.
It's not letting me post pictures-whyyyy???? Anyway, there is a new eyeshadow palette and the Rose Gold SSP in Liquid Form out! Yay! I really want to compare swatches between the pressed and liquid. The palette is all matte and really pretty, but the last three colors look pretty similar. There's info. and pictures on Temptalia if you want to go see, but the pictures are not uploading...
I'm currently looking for the best waterproof pencil eyeliner for tightlining my upper and lower waterline--I'd like to stay within about a $22 budget. (I do not want to use liquid eyeliners, or eyeliners in a pot.) My face perspires easily, especially during the summer, so even waterproof eyeliners bleed and smudge underneath my eyes--even when I use Benefit Stay Don't Stray primer below my eyes. I have tried Urban Decay's 24/7 waterproof eyeliner and Sephora's waterproof eyeliner, and both bled terribly. It does not look professional, and I hate having to constantly wipe off the smudges in the restroom--which is probably not great for the delicate under-eye area. I am thinking about trying MUFE's Aqua Eyes, or possibly Tarte SmolderEYES. Any other suggestions for around $22 or so? **There was a best waterproof eyeliner pencil question from 2010, so I thought I would start a newer discussion
I recently bought the HOURGLASS Arch Brow Sculpting Pencil, because of the great reviews. I was going through a Brow Wiz way too quickly. When I found out the Hourglass pencil is 0.014oz, for $32 ($37CAD), compared to 0.003oz $21($27) for the Brow Wiz, I was sold. If you compare the 2, the brow wiz is so much more expensive! You would pay $98 ($126 CAD) for the same amount of product! I even compared it with drugstore products and it's still a better value. So, my question is, do you have any other go-to products that you think have such a great value?
I normally don't have a problem with most makeup products. My skin is okay with Makeup forever, Bobbi brown, Hourglass, Guerlain, and Giorgio Armani most of the times. but when it comes to MAC items, I break out almost instantly and it takes more than 2 weeks to fully recover. it just makes my skin to warm up, cause black heads, and break out. I checked the ingredients and they don't really have anything that might cause breakouts. (I used prep and prime natural radiance and the mineralize moisture foundation) if anything, MUFE has more of ingredients that normally break me out like parabens.. does this happen to anyone else? I was going to purchase their pro longwear concealer but really don't know if I should..
I tried many foundations (acc to me) from drugstore to high end, but any foundation didn't match me i tried sephora color IQ test thrice, it suggested me stilla foundation, i bought it hoping it would suit, but it made me look dark at least one to two shades dark being asian, never want to look dark, when i remove foundation half side, i can clearly see dark and light shades of my face recently tried Dior foundation also, same problem. I have combi- dry skin, with very oily t-zone and very dry cheeks, i am 26. Please suggest me good foundation which has many shades, that i can find one which suits my color perfectly, like second skin.
Has anyone gotten the Smashbox Master Class III Palette? I've been eyeing this one up, but I have to wait a few months to get it since I've already spent over my budget for the time-being! ;-) I found some closeup photos of it and swatches of it online via cosmeticblur blog, and all the colors look so absolutely amazing! Does anyone know if this is in the permanent line or is it limited edition? If it's limited edition will it still be here in a few months? I just can't stop looking at all the colors and really don't want to miss out on this one! *drool*
So, I've been around these boards for a while but I hardly ever see anyone mention Elizabeth Arden. I was never crazy about any of the perfumes, but has anybody been to a Liz Arden counter lately or looked at the site? There are some really beautiful lipsticks and eyeshadows. My friend just purchased the bronzer and it is gorgeous. Also, the Ceramide line of skincare has been a favorite for a long time. I know many people think of the line as for "older" women, but I was just wondering people's thoughts?
Lately I've been reading articles about all of these scary ingredients in my cosmetics. Things like heavy metals and parabens. Is this something to be worried about? Where can I find unbiased/objective information about this issue? Thanks very much!
I have a basic 9-5 office job, and lately, I've been over-doing it with the makeup! 1) because I have a lot of new goodies and 2) because it's fun! I was wondering what a good neutral/natural would look like. Show me some looks or what you guys wear during the week! Thanks :-)
Which ones are your favorites? I'm thinking I might try Nars Siam Matte Multiple, but I'd love to hear some other better( and less expensive ) suggestions. I want a true red and something that will blend really easily. Thank youuu!!
I need to upload a pic soon...but I am very pale with rosacea (redddd cheeks) that I cover up with foundation. I just dyed my hair a light reddish brown. I am totally clueless as to what color blush would look good on me. I have several: Nars Orgasm (too shimmery for my liking) Tarte True Love (too red), Tarte Achiote (too dark), Tarte Peaceful (not bad for a light coral), Stila Color Converter in Peony (not a fan of cream blush), and Tarte Flush (too purply), oh and also a NYX in a medium pink color, it's not too bad. I really do love MATTE & POWDER blushes.............maybe someone could give me a few suggestions. Thanks!
I either get extremely dry to the point where my face looks like a desert, or I get extremely oily to the point where my face looks like I went swimming in the BP oil spill. I don't see a direct correlation between hormonal or environmental factors, and I wash my skin with oil controling soap along with using an oil controling lotion. Besides being completely at a loss when it comes to controlling my skin type, I am also a newbie at high end makeup. I would perfer a light to medium coverage but I would like buildability. Also, stating the obvious, it needs to be mattifying. Any suggestions of a foundation and finishing powder that can help me out? To set the record straight, no I was not attempting to go for the dewey look in any of these pictures
Saw Temptalia's post a couple of days ago on the Givenchy Fall collection for this year, and it's all so beautiful -- from the packaging to the colors. I mean, look at the burgundy leather encasement for the Le Rouge lipsticks! However, the only one I will probably get is the Blush Memoire De Forme Pop Up Jelly Blush in Rose Extravagant -- am I crazy to want to drop $37 on a blush?! :-\ Yikes... However, I feel that between the color and the packaging, it's something that I can admire for a while...as long as it doesn't dry up at some point. From Make Up 4 All blog From Fashion Trend Seeker
