I don't know if any of you ladies know about this but Sonia Kashuk just came out with a LE 15 piece brush set in celebration of their 15th anniversary. I just picked up the last one in my town today during my lunch break. I personally think this is a steal. It is $40 at Target. If you can find it, I suggest to get it right there and then because this set is sold out almost everywhere and each Target in the US and Canada each get 2 sets. Go on to Target's website and use the "find in a Target store" and click on "pick up in store" if it shows up to reserve it. Sonia Kashuk is trying to keep it in stock but it keeps selling out. This set will be available until October according to their customer service line. If anyone wants to know how they perform, let me know and I will do a small review here on BT.
Saw Temptalia's post a couple of days ago on the Givenchy Fall collection for this year, and it's all so beautiful -- from the packaging to the colors. I mean, look at the burgundy leather encasement for the Le Rouge lipsticks! However, the only one I will probably get is the Blush Memoire De Forme Pop Up Jelly Blush in Rose Extravagant -- am I crazy to want to drop $37 on a blush?! :-\ Yikes... However, I feel that between the color and the packaging, it's something that I can admire for a while...as long as it doesn't dry up at some point. From Make Up 4 All blog From Fashion Trend Seeker
So yesterday I tested out the brushes from the brush set while I was getting ready to go out for dinner last night and I have to say I really like them. They're really soft and well made. There was a teeny bit of shedding though. Retail Value- $40 Estimated Value per brush- $15 Estimated MSRP - $225 Pros: Price Quality Well made Cons: Exclusive to Target 2 sets per Target store Sells out quickly in store and online HTF Little bit of shedding Availability - until October if they can keep up with the demand according to SK customer service Favorite Brushes Contour Brush Pencil Brush Blush Brush The contour brush is EVERYTHING!!!! It is very comparable to the NARS Ita brush (I personally think it's a lot better). I used it to contour my nose as well and I really liked the way it turned out. This brush gave me cheekbones and the sculpted effect that my Real Techniques contour brush wasn't giving me! The pencil brush picked up a lot of color easily and in even though I barely dipped my brush in the eyeshadow I was using. I suggest tapping it off quite a bit so the color isn't so intense and you don't get a ton of fallout. The blush brush is really nice. It picks up the right amount of blush so the most intense color will be toned down and wearable. Least Favorite Brushes Blending Brush Buffing Brush Angled Multipurpose Brush The blending brush is way too big for me personally. It was hard to blend my transition color with it due to the large size so I used my MAC 217. It does work as a cheek highlighting brush if you want a more concentrated glow on the high points of the face. The buffing brush is a bit too dense and absorbed too much product. I used it to apply foundation and I had to use 3 pumps instead of 1. I don't know what I will use this for later. The angled multipurpose brush was very difficult to work with for me personally. I used it to blend my concealer and it was a mess. I had to use my BB to blend the rest of my concealer. I'll play around a bit to see if I can find another use for it. I may use it for cream contouring. Final Verdict Overall I think this a really good set to have if you're starting out or if you're a total makeup junkie and you love LE products. This set would also make an amazing gift as well. I'm going to play with the brushes that I didn't like so much to find alternative uses for them or use them in conjunction with other brushes to make them work. I may end up liking them later in the future. I hope Sonia Kashuk is able to stay on top of the demand and each Target gets more than 2 per each restock and that the Target website will restock quickly as well. I hope you all enjoy my review!
Have you guys seen these?! There are tons of shades and finishes to choose from, and you can build your own palette! I can't wait to try these; I wonder if Sephora will carry all of the shades? There are so many and I'd really like to go in and test a good chunk of them. http://www.sephora.com/artist-shadow-P387670?skuId =1622745
I've been using the pencil for the longest time, but got to try out a sample of the brow powder duo today and absolutely loved it. It seems easier to apply, and looks more natural (to me). For those of you who've used both of these, how do they compare to you? Is the staying power of the powder duo long enough (or longer than the pencil?)?
I posted a previous post about starting a traveling box with samples and deluxe samples and a few ladies were interested in doing one! This is the 1st traveling box I am apart of and of course the 1st that I am starting. So, we need to decide if we are going to do a medium or small flat rate box. RULES No used items. No open items DO NOT take more than you put in. Let's keep this fun and fair DO NOT take multiples of the same sample PLEASE try not to keep the box more than 3 days Make sure to send your address to the person listed above you Once you send the box off, post the tracking number in this thread ALL unused items allowed (well maybe not nail polishes if it will make the shipping costs go up) Post a pic of what you take out, what you put in and what is left in the box before you send it off THIS IS A DRAMA FREE BOX! We are going to have fun and try to keep this going as long as we can! If you are interested in being in the box, I have a few spots left so post a pic of what samples you have in this thread to be added. To start off, we are only going to have 10 people! 1. hollygohardly 2. MegEm 3.MLLECC 4. tessie84 5. Kittichick 6. NicoleFrat 7. NightKnight 8. Sweetxteeth 9. Nishcakes 10. BuxomBabe80
Hello Beauties, I know traveling boxes can make some people a little uneasy because they can get stolen along the way (or whatever the case may be). I was thinking of using this thread to arrange Box swaps instead. We can all post the items that are up for swap, hopefully with pictures and estimated price total, and we can look and see which bundle most appeals to us and ask to trade with that one person. Traditional rules apply: ☆ VIB or VIB Rouge members only ☆ Must be active on BT ☆ Must have at least 150 hearts ☆ Majority must be high-end products ☆ Deluxe samples and high-end foils are allowed ☆ Lightly used and "swatched" products allowed but must be stated (keep it sanitary!) ☆ Must provide tracking number with shipping ☆ Must include your state of residence in your posting (to help others roughly gage shipping cost) Well, show us what you got and let's see if we manage to trade
Maaaannnn. Whenever I look around on here, everyone has these awesome eyebrows. Very neat/tidy and that awesome high arch. My eyebrows are a mess. I used to get a anastasia wax brow treatment every month or so but I moved to Canada and I can't seem to find that same treatment anywhere. Right now I'm just pluckin' at them myself but obviously I suck at it. What products do you guys use and how? Gel? Pencils? Powder?! I want tidy eyebrows! Here are my eyebrows. Daaaaaamn.
I'm currently looking for the best waterproof pencil eyeliner for tightlining my upper and lower waterline--I'd like to stay within about a $22 budget. (I do not want to use liquid eyeliners, or eyeliners in a pot.) My face perspires easily, especially during the summer, so even waterproof eyeliners bleed and smudge underneath my eyes--even when I use Benefit Stay Don't Stray primer below my eyes. I have tried Urban Decay's 24/7 waterproof eyeliner and Sephora's waterproof eyeliner, and both bled terribly. It does not look professional, and I hate having to constantly wipe off the smudges in the restroom--which is probably not great for the delicate under-eye area. I am thinking about trying MUFE's Aqua Eyes, or possibly Tarte SmolderEYES. Any other suggestions for around $22 or so? **There was a best waterproof eyeliner pencil question from 2010, so I thought I would start a newer discussion
Has anyone gotten the Smashbox Master Class III Palette? I've been eyeing this one up, but I have to wait a few months to get it since I've already spent over my budget for the time-being! ;-) I found some closeup photos of it and swatches of it online via cosmeticblur blog, and all the colors look so absolutely amazing! Does anyone know if this is in the permanent line or is it limited edition? If it's limited edition will it still be here in a few months? I just can't stop looking at all the colors and really don't want to miss out on this one! *drool*
I have been haunting the HK section, hoping a few leftovers may turn up (Other than the two that are always there). Look what I found! Already signed up to be notified. Looking forward to seeing this collection, and I hope they have a launch party for Rouge!
hey everyone, i have only one of their lipsticks and it's the VIB rouge color from last year and i was wondering what everyone else's thoughts are on their other lipsticks. i have the colors quince, palomino, apricot, and pomegranate in my cart right now but i need a little push to actually order them.
I recently bought the HOURGLASS Arch Brow Sculpting Pencil, because of the great reviews. I was going through a Brow Wiz way too quickly. When I found out the Hourglass pencil is 0.014oz, for $32 ($37CAD), compared to 0.003oz $21($27) for the Brow Wiz, I was sold. If you compare the 2, the brow wiz is so much more expensive! You would pay $98 ($126 CAD) for the same amount of product! I even compared it with drugstore products and it's still a better value. So, my question is, do you have any other go-to products that you think have such a great value?
It's not letting me post pictures-whyyyy???? Anyway, there is a new eyeshadow palette and the Rose Gold SSP in Liquid Form out! Yay! I really want to compare swatches between the pressed and liquid. The palette is all matte and really pretty, but the last three colors look pretty similar. There's info. and pictures on Temptalia if you want to go see, but the pictures are not uploading...
Hello!! I am getting married August 23 of this year and would love recommendations! I have my foundations down, looking for mascara and lip products! Or anything else you would like to share!! My hair is black, my skin tone is olive and I have hazel eyes. Thanks for your time and feed back !
I normally don't have a problem with most makeup products. My skin is okay with Makeup forever, Bobbi brown, Hourglass, Guerlain, and Giorgio Armani most of the times. but when it comes to MAC items, I break out almost instantly and it takes more than 2 weeks to fully recover. it just makes my skin to warm up, cause black heads, and break out. I checked the ingredients and they don't really have anything that might cause breakouts. (I used prep and prime natural radiance and the mineralize moisture foundation) if anything, MUFE has more of ingredients that normally break me out like parabens.. does this happen to anyone else? I was going to purchase their pro longwear concealer but really don't know if I should..
I have a basic 9-5 office job, and lately, I've been over-doing it with the makeup! 1) because I have a lot of new goodies and 2) because it's fun! I was wondering what a good neutral/natural would look like. Show me some looks or what you guys wear during the week! Thanks :-)
I tried many foundations (acc to me) from drugstore to high end, but any foundation didn't match me i tried sephora color IQ test thrice, it suggested me stilla foundation, i bought it hoping it would suit, but it made me look dark at least one to two shades dark being asian, never want to look dark, when i remove foundation half side, i can clearly see dark and light shades of my face recently tried Dior foundation also, same problem. I have combi- dry skin, with very oily t-zone and very dry cheeks, i am 26. Please suggest me good foundation which has many shades, that i can find one which suits my color perfectly, like second skin.
