Hi Everyone, I'm looking for a new foundation and don't know which one to choose. I've been looking at Make Up For Ever HD Invisible Cover Foundation or NARS All Day Luminous Weightless Foundation. Which one should I buy? Thanks
Today I was lead on a wild goose chase to get 2 lippies from this collection since it sold out in the 5 minutes I wasn't stalking it during the online launch. So last night I called Macy's knowing it was only launching there and at MAC stores. I asked the associate if they were doing any kind of pre-sale or if I should get there early. She said no and there is no pre-order. Okay, that's fine. So my boyfriend drove me early this morning to Macy's and we stood outside and waited at the doors with a bunch of other people (it was freezing). So they let us in and the associate said the entire collection is sold out and goes, didn't anyone tell you about the pre-sale we had this morning? You were supposed to come in through the employee entrance. All of us were standing there stunned like, um.... no? So the associate tells everyone, "Well, Nordstrom just opened up down the street, too. You should check there." Which obviously Nordies didn't launch this collection at all! So the employees working this morning either don't really know their job and keep up on their product/collections or she was just trying to get people out of her face. So my boyfriend rushes me to a mall that is much farther away but has a Macy's and a freestanding MAC. I got 1 of the lippies I wanted at Macy's so I was pumped, then I hustled to the freestanding MAC. I kid you not, the employees were taking more phone orders than helping the customers standing right there. So they had the other lippie in stock but by the time they actually assisted me, it had sold out because of all of the phone orders and the girl in front of me snagged the last one. I'm just wondering when it became okay to help people that are on the phone before the customers who got their behinds up bright and early and are standing right in front of you!
So I have pretty fair skin, I can get away with Mac NC15 for under eye concealer. Also fit UD Naked Foundation in the lightest shade, something like 01 maybe. I also really dont like wearing much makeup, foundation wise so something with a light weight feeling would be great, although the heaviest of BB creams does not really bother me because of the way they tend to settle. My everyday product is usually the BRTC Blemish Recovery Balm although even that can have a gray set to it. Any suggestions? I would really really appreciate it.

Saw on IG colourpop is coming out with a new line of blushes in a couple of weeks. They are twice the amount of the shadows so the price has increased (bummer). I guess we'll see them popping up with IGers in a few days. They don't seem to have a large presence on YT, unless I'm missing something. The vloggers I follow very rarely state they had products sent to them. Maybe I'm just not in the know. I really wish they would do a liquid matte lippie! I can't wait! I love a good blush!
So I believe in all our love for all face makeup, there's really only 2 features you're allowed to have fun with: The eyes or the lips! For me, it's definitely my eyes and it shows in my makeup collection. I've collected an ungodly number of eyeshadow palettes, experimented with way too many brands of mascara and purchased eyeliners in dozens of crazy colors...electric blue, lime green and neon violet to name a few But as far as my lip colors, I tend to gravitate towards the same shades. Sure I buy other trendy colors but I always seem to end up wearing the same brownish-rose and nude shades. It's probably because I do so much to my eyes that I down-play the lip (trying to follow the rules and all). Anyway, just curious..what's your *play* feature: eyes or lips...or elsewhere?
Help! By mid-day, my makeup is looking horrible. My nose is so oily and looks like I never even applied makeup. My chin is not quite as bad, but my foundation looks like my two-year-old applied it. It's uneven and separated. I currently use: Smashbox CC on my forehead and chin, Clinique CC on my cheeks, and bareMinerals READY Foundation all over to set everything. What could I add before or even after to prevent this issue? I'm tired of looking like I have no makeup on after noon.
I have only had samples of both of these eyeshadow primers and was wondering which one was everyone's favourite. I am looking to repurchase and while I am leaning slightly towards Shadow Insurance, it has been a while since I have tried the Primer Potion. So what are your opinions on one or either?
Hey guys!! I just wanted to know a good everyday blush color, 'flesh-toned' eye shadow, and nude lip color for my complexion. I love bright, colorful makeup, but I'm a student and I wanted something a bit more toned down for everyday wear. If we go by MAC shades, I'm NC 44-45 (a bit on the lighter side now that it's winter). I have gold/yellow undertones that look sort of 'blegh' now that I've gotten lighter (seriously, it looks like jaundice. Not cute). I'm sort of new to wearing blush, so I'm definitely a little shy in that area. I just want it to show up on my face without overwhelming it (if that makes ANY sense, whatsoever....) Any and all help would be deeply appreciated!!
I'm looking for a new eye primer. I have Too Faced Shadow Insurance and it's too thick and makes shadow clumpy on me. I also have UD classic eye primer and that's too sticky and doesn't work for me. Any other suggestions? Thanks so much!! :-)
Trying to switch from using ELDW to a BB cream. I feel that ELDW is way too heavy for everyday use and looks too noticeable and dry for winter. Here are my must-haves in a BB cream: - Long-lasting (most important-- after coming from ELDW which lasts all day, I cannot downgrade to something that will last for an hour or two and/or requires touching up!) -Light-medium coverage (also important. i will use concealer for any extra blemishes that need covering, but I don't want to feel like I'm applying a clear liquid to my face) -Does not oxidize -Dewy finish -Natural looking!!! especially in day light! xx thanks for the help in advance
Hey there Right now UD is having a 20% on there site im quite new to the High End world and Was wondering doesnt Sephora have a 20% there site and store in april?? I saw that some where. There are some ud products i want and i was wondering if i should wait til then? I am 131 from VIB do I have to be VIB before then to get the 20% off in sephora?? Thanks Ladies!
Anyways heyyyy everyoneeee I'M BACK. I HAVE NOT BEEN ON HERE IN SOOOOOO LONG. I have a small dilemma and I know that you girl will be able to help me out hopefully!!!! SO- I contemplated for about two weeks on which KA celestial highlighter to buy "candlelight vs. starlight". Now after all the pics I had seen on various blogs, websites, and every where else we look when were trying to find out info about a produt...I went on the edge...lol and ordered the less popular, more new to the crew starlight. now let me just tell you the picture on Sephora and actually almost every other site that carries ka,,let me tell you it almost seems as thought they are taking a picture of the Nars highlighter "miss liberty" which is actually a very light pink in reality and on the website!... instead of KA's starlight which looks like the same kind of color online but in reality its like a deep pink color.... I was very shocked on how much darker and how not light it is at all! I just got it from ups today... and I had used a Guerlain aerosol/ ]bronzer spray on my face today...so I figured I'd wait until tomorrow to try it out on my regular foundation. I live in an area where I'll have to go to Boston to see both highlighters up close and personal and its not that far at all but is it worth it to get in the car? lol That's why this is BOGGELING my minddd and hopeee some of you guys on here have used/ own/ or at least tested out both starlight and candlelight. All and Any Feedback will be GREATLYYY appreciated!!!! thanks BT'S!!!!
So the contour cream kits are now available at Anastasia Beverly Hills. They come in 3 shades: Light, medium & deep. I've heard great things about the contour creams and I'm sooo interested in getting one since I've started doing more contour work. However, I haven't had the greatest experience ordering directly from ABH. Does anyone know if Sephora will be carrying the ABH contour cream kits any time soon??
Spring break is coming up and I'm wondering what the best type of foundation is to use...a light, normal foundation, bb cream, cc cream? The problem is I need something with full coverage, since my biggest problem is acne scars that I need to hide. Right now I have a whole procedure involving moisturizer, primer, liquid foundation and powder foundation, and I'd rather not lug all that on vacation. Anyone have any knowledge or experience for the best hot weather, lightweight, full-coverage makeup?
Hello everyone! Hope everyone's having a gorgeous day! I need some good recommendations for an undereye setting powder and maybe a new concealer recommendation while I'm at it. My major concern is having the concealer look natural and having it not settle into fine lines. Here's some info about me: -I'm a 2y09 with the IQ system here (so I'm kind of a coppery/tanned tone irl) -I have dry/normal skin with no blemishes anywhere besides the eye -Genetic dark circles that are a ***** to cover -I have seasonal allergies (Spring/Fall mostly) -Right now I use MUFE HD Concealer in 12 -I use LM Tinted Moisturizer in Tawny I heard a lot of people recommend the Anastasia contour palette but I don't want to buy a whole palette if I'm going to use one color, you know? But I also have to do what I have to do so if it's highly recommended I'll bite the bullet. Thank you for your help!
i would go to a counter but i just really hate going to the mac macy's store for this kind of thing. i can go in for lipstick and lipliner and anything else but i can never go in and get shade matched. they either recommend a different concealer i do not want or they match me way too dark and orangy im custard in nars creamy concealer and im fiji in nars sheer glow. please and thank you i do say im cool toned but than again im not that sure im pale and turn red easily so i assume im cool toned
Has anyone tried or recommend the new Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation? I saw lots of great reviews about it. I wear the shade Mont Blanc in the Nars Sheer-Glow foundation, would color 2 match me in this new foundation?
I was wondering if I could get feedback on the quality of Paul and Joe? The packaging is so adorable that I am tempted to order lipsticks and eyeshadows with multiple cases. However, are their products good quality or lean more toward cute novelty items? Thanks so much for any feedback :-)
Hello! I'm looking for an everyday highlighter that looks natural and also doesn't highlight pores. I'm quite fair, with slight warm undertones, dark blonde hair and blue eyes. Some highlighters I was looking at were the Kevin Aucoin Candlelight, the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powders, and the Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector (I think the name is something close to that?$. Which of these do you prefer/think would work best with my colouring? Or is there any other favourites you would reccomend?
I'm going to Paris next week, and I want to stock up on beauty products! I heard French drugstores have great stuff (Bioderma!) but I don't know much about anything else. I'm definitely going to visit the Sephora there though
Hi you Bite fanatics! So we already have a discussion on the released colors here: http://community.sephora.com/t5/Makeup/Bite-Lip-La b-Sephora-color-of-the-month/td-p/1847087 but I wanted us to have a place to discuss what colors we were hoping would be released. For instance, what color would put you over the edge to make a purchase? For me, I would really love to see a sheer black.... or something similar to Givenchy Liv's Lips, or Lipstick Queen's Hello Sailor. I think that would be pretty amazing!! Especially if it's a Bite formula. Basically, I won't buy colors that are very common or easily dupe-able. Also, as a sidenote, it'd be really cool if people who went to the Bite Lip Lab could somehow figure out what the color formula is for the limited releases... It would look something like this, I guess: Formula: Creme Deluxe Scent: ? Flavor:? Colors: 2/3 Scarlet, 1/3 Tannin (just an example)
omg..so I just received and opened my package ..and im mortified by what I see.. I got the urban decay smoked palette and it looks used or swatched..notice Kinky the lightest color has bristle strokes across..then evidence, loaded and asphalt all look like they have finger swatches..how can this be? Lol was someone doing their makeup at the warehouse or what..
I know some people either love this or really dislike it. I'm in the in-between crowd where it doesn't irritate my skin but it doesn't really do much for it either. Anyways, i will be giving away a brand new jar of the mask. Sticking with the favorites theme, it will go to the person who can guess my favorite actor. Only for people living in the US. hint: its not a TV star.
