Hi ladies! In about a week and a half, I will be going on a trip to New Zealand for two weeks. I'm super excited Obviously I cannot carry all my skincare and liquid foundation etc. in their original containers, so I'm wondering if anyone has suggestions for travel-size bottles and containers? The Sephora brand sets don't have such great reviews unfortunately
I love a guy who knows his skincare and makeup, and you guys certainly know your stuff! I'm really curious to know - what got you so interested? Were you encouraged by anyone or did you discover it all yourselves? Do people notice when you wear makeup? Do you get hassled about it? Do you get positive comments? I think it's great that you are here. I'd love to know how you got here, if you don't mind my asking. Girls are marketed to from practically infancy about beauty products - guys not so much! So, how did it all start for you guys?
Since fall is upon us and the collections are slowly being unveiled, I thought maybe we'd all share what we have currently in rotation while summer is still holding on, and maybe if you want, share things you know you will be transitioning in for fall. I will start -Armani maestro liquid foundation -illamasqua hydra veil -lancome efracernes concealer -naked 2 palette -burberry effortless mascara -Elizabeth arden ceramide cream blush in nectar -Givenchy le rouge 103 -Armani lip in heat Bringing out for fall: -kevyn aucoin sensual skin enhancer -clarins primer -kvd ladybird -new reds/darker lipsticks -less bright blushes
Had this foundation for about a year and the packaging finally broke on me and the cap ALWAYS is so loose and ALWAYS falls off. Especially, in travel. However, I LOVE this foundation and I've never had a truer color match. Anyone buy a bottle recently and have trouble with the cap?
Here's the first Sneak Peek for the September Ipsy Bag: I actually unsubscribed last month which is a little surprising because I was a fan of the products I received in August but with holiday sets/collections coming soon I've decided that I would rather put my money there. For all of those still subscribed enjoy!
Have you guys seen these?! There are tons of shades and finishes to choose from, and you can build your own palette! I can't wait to try these; I wonder if Sephora will carry all of the shades? There are so many and I'd really like to go in and test a good chunk of them. http://www.sephora.com/artist-shadow-P387670?skuId =1622745
I posted a previous post about starting a traveling box with samples and deluxe samples and a few ladies were interested in doing one! This is the 1st traveling box I am apart of and of course the 1st that I am starting. So, we need to decide if we are going to do a medium or small flat rate box. RULES No used items. No open items DO NOT take more than you put in. Let's keep this fun and fair DO NOT take multiples of the same sample PLEASE try not to keep the box more than 3 days Make sure to send your address to the person listed above you Once you send the box off, post the tracking number in this thread ALL unused items allowed (well maybe not nail polishes if it will make the shipping costs go up) Post a pic of what you take out, what you put in and what is left in the box before you send it off We are going to have fun and try to keep this going as long as we can! If you are interested in being in the box, I have a few spots left so post a pic of what samples you have in this thread to be added. To start off, we are only going to have 10 people! 1. CuriousCannibal 2. MegEm 3.MLLECC 4. tessie84 5. Kittichick 6. NicoleFrat 7. NightKnight 8. Sweetxteeth 9. Nishcakes 10. Kariyava
I was on IG earlier & this picture seems to be going around. Anyone picking it up? Is said to be released in October, at 58$ . I'm not sure if I'll pick it up. Maybe if the 3 blushes aren't ones I own... Or there's a LE one. We'll see 😬
I don't know if any of you ladies know about this but Sonia Kashuk just came out with a LE 15 piece brush set in celebration of their 15th anniversary. I just picked up the last one in my town today during my lunch break. I personally think this is a steal. It is $40 at Target. If you can find it, I suggest to get it right there and then because this set is sold out almost everywhere and each Target in the US and Canada each get 2 sets. Go on to Target's website and use the "find in a Target store" and click on "pick up in store" if it shows up to reserve it. Sonia Kashuk is trying to keep it in stock but it keeps selling out. This set will be available until October according to their customer service line. If anyone wants to know how they perform, let me know and I will do a small review here on BT.
Hi dolls, Another palette from ABH?! I'M IN LOVE. The beautiful mayamia (on youtube and instagram) collaborated with them AGAIN to create this gorgeous palette. I'm so excited <3 P.S The Contour book will also be avail in January for anyone interested.
Hi beauties!!! I need your help finding a bronzer. Throughout the year, my skintone is light, and I wear UD's Naked Skin in 3.5 (or ED DW in Fresco, NW20, L'Oreal true match C3) for reference. In the summer, I get quite a bit tanner and all my foundations become too light for my skin. I try to mix these shades with darker ones I have, but they still end up being too light to match my body. My face is also lighter than my body because I exfoliate it. I don't want to buy a darker foundation, as I switch up what foundations I use daily, and I don't want to be limited to 1 foundation. I've been trying different bronzers to lightly use all over my face to warm up my complexion and darken my face a bit to match my body, but I haven't had any luck finding one that is dark enough/looks natural. I've tried: Too Faced Chocolate Soleil - doesn't seem to have any effect at making my face any darker? I have the regular and not the milk chocolate, but it just doesn't seem to be dark enough or something... NYC Sunny - way too orange Benefit Hoola - good to contour, not good for allover my face, as it makes me look muddy Nars Laguna - similar to my issue with chocolate soleil, it doesn't seem to do all that much to warm up my face, unless I'm contouring I've tried a few others from Wet n Wild and Physician's formula and haven't had anything that I've liked. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated
Once I get the box back I'll pick out some items and donate the remaining items to 'The River' (a local organization that takes and redistributes new and used makeup/beauty items to women in need). I've given beauty products to this organization before and they're really good. * Please make sure every item is in a plastic ziplock bag to prevent spills. Donts’s ■ DON'T keep the box for more than two days. Keep it moving! If you are traveling or a special circumstance comes up, we can work to rearrange things. (ALSO YOU MUST INCLUDE A TRACKING NUMBER it makes it more fun anticipating your turn) ■ DON'T put unsanitary items of any sort into the TSB. We want to have fun and get gorgeous, not sickly ■ DON'T put any drugstore items into the TSB. ■ No reserve items in the box for others, and don’t ask to have any items reserved for you. This is unfair to others participating. ■ DON'T swatch items from the box. This is a hygienic precaution that we must take, as a lot of people will be handling these items. ■ DON'T take more than what you put in. Please trade at or above each item’s retail value. Do’s ♥ Please contribute high-end beauty products only. No drugstore items. If you have questions or you are unsure of an item, ask! ♥ Unused, swatched or lightly used products are perfectly acceptable. Well-loved items are not (unless explicitly requested by the next person or there has been a posted picture and someone requested that item). Again, if you’re unsure, ask! ♥ Swatched/used items must be labeled as such. ♥ All opened items must be cleaned/sanitized prior to their addition to the box. ♥ Send your address to the person above you in a PM. ♥ Package things carefully! Try to leave the TSB in better condition than you found it ♥ Please seal any items that could leak/spill/make a mess accordingly. ♥ Most importantly, share your experience! Please post a photo and a description of the box, what you took, and what you contributed. Allowed: ☆High-end, clean makeup/skincare items (including makeup bags, brushes, etc. If you have questions, refer to other TSB threads or just ask!) ☆Fragrance (be sure to package bottles properly!) ☆Nail polish (again, be careful!) Not allowed: ☆Pre-made samples ☆ NO used/swatched lip wands (the kind you dunk the wand in or things like stila lipglaze) ☆Heavily used items ☆ Drugstore items ☆Used items that haven’t been cleaned/sanitized ☆Questionable items (always ask if you have doubts!) If you cannot take photos, Do Not Sign Up, please *******PUT BETTER OR EQUAL PRICED ITEMS IN FOR WHAT YOU TAKE OUT TO KEEP UP THE INTEGRITY OF THE BOX********* Final Verdict on Mascara- A lot of the GWP mascaras are not sealed. It is ok to include these mascaras in the box ONLY IF THEY ARE UNUSED. Please be honest (it's a matter of health!). Also, please be aware that some of the mascaras may be dried out upon opening them. Only open them if you selected them as your item. Please be honest when it comes to this. Also, please pick up a large priority box at the post office prior to receiving the box. This is so we can streamline things (get the box to everyone faster in case the box breaks or there's a spill). -send your address to the person above you -post a picture and text what you are taking and what you put in BEFORE you send the box on. roxystar4 -------> 9405509699937585873456 1. bombshell30 -------> 91149011898666880867309 2. ghkim -------> 9405903699300192324806 3. I am starting to care more about how my makeup looks and trying to figure out that would look good together and on me. I have dark brown hair, dark brown eyes, light to medium olive/yellow completion. What type of colors would look best for eye, cheek and lip for me. I sort of am looking for a daytime look as well as a night time look.
As I've gotten more into makeup I've realized makeup means something very different to everyone I talk to - it has meant something different to me at varying stages of my life. Right now, makeup means creative expression - being able to do something artistic every single day, to make me feel a little better about myself because my skin is more evened out, that my eyes are more defined, and I have some healthy glow from my highlighter. It's also an escape for me, I enjoy searching out deals and finding some new products, especially when I've had a tough day. When I was young, I wasn't "allowed" to wear makeup until a certain age, so it also sort of means reaching a certain age or maturity (just a personal meaning due to the restriction I had). Just curious what others feel that makeup means to them?
Hi BTers! I am wondering if anyone has any recommendations on an inexpensive fluffy crease/blending brush similar to the MAC 217. I see a ton of tutorials where people use this brush and it looks amazing, but I'm not sure I want to spend that much on a single brush right now. Does anyone know of any other good ones?? Thanks!!
I am moving in a few days, and because of the moving truck's schedule, my stuff will have to stay in the truck for about two weeks. I'm in the south where it's been well over 90 degrees every day. I know it will get very hot in the truck. I am already sending an overnight chilled box of my medications to the new place where someone will pick it up and keep it at room temperature. I'm also putting lipstick and creams in the chilled box because I know they can melt and/or separate. What about powdered stuff (eyeshadow, pressed powder, pressed blush), eyeliner, mascara, primers, etc? Will they go bad if they stay in a very hot truck for two weeks? Thank you!
Hi dolls, I'm obsessed with the what are you wearing thread on BT , but I find it hard to post a full faced selfie all the time! I noticed a lot of people are lip product junkies like myself on here and thought it would be a good thread to start. I also think it might make people more comfortable with posting a picture of their lips instead of their whole face (I know I don't want to see mines up close and personal all the time). I think a brows of the day , eyes of the day , etc. would be great too for people who aren't as comfortable posting a selfie. You can always post a selfie in this thread though (: Here's whats one my lips today! 1. Bite Beauty Rhubarb lip pencil 2. TF Perfect Lips Lip Liner in perfect spice
I recently bought the HOURGLASS Arch Brow Sculpting Pencil, because of the great reviews. I was going through a Brow Wiz way too quickly. When I found out the Hourglass pencil is 0.014oz, for $32 ($37CAD), compared to 0.003oz $21($27) for the Brow Wiz, I was sold. If you compare the 2, the brow wiz is so much more expensive! You would pay $98 ($126 CAD) for the same amount of product! I even compared it with drugstore products and it's still a better value. So, my question is, do you have any other go-to products that you think have such a great value?
Please tell me Sephora will have them soon. Charlotte is a red to die for, and Jeanne and Ingrid are also at the top of my list. Can't wait! Hoping Sephora also has the NARS fall collection soon. The new Satin Lip pencils are already in stock, (cranberry and rose brown, I forget the names), but Jardin Perdu where are you? Waiting on pins and needles!!!
