This morning I checked the sale section and to my surprise there was a nice Bite set with 3 lipsticks. So I went to checkout and guess what... ITEM DOES NOT SHIP TO CANADA... WTF??? Bite is a Canadian Company. So I called the rouge line since I thought it was an IT mistake... and I was told... Oh no this is a holiday set restriction. WHAT????? So apparently this holiday set is only available to the US. Like come on!!!! So again this proves that Sephora HATES Canadians... we can't even buy products that are made in OUR OWN Country!!!! This is the stupidest excuse I have EVER heard! http://www.sephora.com/deconstructed-rose-lipstick -trio-P393240?skuId=1674266&country_switch=ca
Hi guys, a post on the trade thread by carrierose got me thinking...Ive been collecting (or trying to) the Ud Revolution lipstick minis. I already have the colors in the Full Frontal mini set (twenty percent off, then free with points) and a freebie of Rapture and Naked. I have an extra Rapture and I think carrierose does also. I (we) are looking to trade for another color I don't have. If you got the Silver glitter bag GWP from Ulta, it came with one- thats where I got the Naked. So if you have any other color except Rapture and Naked, I''ll take it. Ebay is way too high to buy freebies when I know there is a possiblility of Bters willing to trade!
So I just checked Ebay and there are resellers selling these for $500-$600. One seller listed it at $799.95! Would you buy it? I personally wouldn't, the vault was supposed to be a good deal and at $799.95, you're just paying for the case that comes with it since all the other products aren't even limited edition! I am just shocked to see that people have actually bought these. Would love to hear your thoughts!
Hey guys, I'm new to this whole eyeshadow palette thing but I want one thats like really go to, so I'm having a hard time choosing between the Too faced Chocolate bar or Vice 3? Know they're completely different but I those are my options lol

I posted a previous post about starting a traveling box with samples and deluxe samples and a few ladies were interested in doing one! This is the 1st traveling box I am apart of and of course the 1st that I am starting. So, we need to decide if we are going to do a medium or small flat rate box. RULES No used items. No open items DO NOT take more than you put in. Let's keep this fun and fair DO NOT take multiples of the same sample PLEASE try not to keep the box more than 3 days Make sure to send your address to the person listed above you Once you send the box off, post the tracking number in this thread ALL unused items allowed (well maybe not nail polishes if it will make the shipping costs go up) Post a pic of what you take out, what you put in and what is left in the box before you send it off We are going to have fun and try to keep this going as long as we can! If you are interested in being in the box, I have a few spots left so post a pic of what samples you have in this thread to be added. To start off, we are only going to have 10 people! 1. IMATS LA 2015 is next month! I will be flying out there for about a week with some ladies from BT. So I want to know... who's going? What vendors are you excited to see? Any products in particular you'll be hunting down?
What are your favorite Tom Ford Makeup products? And what are your experiences with the brand? Makeup brush inputs will help tremendously as well! Do you own any? If you do why do you buy his line? If you don't have any products, what is stopping you from purchasing his line?
Please help me select a super special Christmas gift for my son's 17 year old girlfriend. I posted this in the wrong category by mistake so decided to repost in case it was overlooked. I'd like to buy this girl the most highly coveted / Holy Grail item for girls in this age bracket. I was thinking of holiday collections that I like, (Tarte or Too Faced for example ) but considered that my taste may be far from what young girls prefer. I don't know her well, my son didn't have much luck prying info from her, so I don't know what her preferences are aside from that she wears eyeliner, mascara & occasionally neutral or light coloured lip gloss. Also, I don't know if this helps or not, but she's into horses. Thank you so much for any ideas or advice!
I suppose I'm referring to color products (eye shadow/liner, blush, lips). I feel like I always choose everything based on my eye color, but a while back, one of the associates at a department store suggested some different shades to play off my hair color. I would never have thought of that, and would never have given a second thought to the shades he was suggesting because my hair is a warm, light brown/dirty blonde whereas my skin is primarily neutral and my eyes are light blue. I don't proclaim to know everything, but I had never run across the idea of matching to hair color before. Do you use features other than your eyes to choose your product shades?
I'm looking to learn more about applying makeup. (namely eye shadow) But anyone can make a youtube video. So who makes the best ones? Especially videos that are good for those who know NOTHING to start with. Thanks so much!!!
I've been organizing and sorting my makeup space this week and it got me to thinking about what things I'm looking forward to wearing a bunch over the holidays. my staples are red lipstick, red toes (wish it could be fingertips, but I work in food service ) and anything with lots of glitter. what are your holiday look staples?
I was about to purchase Immaculate Liquid Powder by Hourglass, but decided to try to find something less spendy. I saw that the two recommended foundations for oily/combination acne-prone skin are this Hourlgass and the Clinique Acne Solutions. It's too close to Christmas for me to want to go anywhere near a brick-and-mortar store and I love free samples, so I've decided to purchase online. However, Clinique's shade selection names are VERY far from helpful compared to Hourglass's offerings. No undertone descriptions, very vague shade descriptions. My skin is probably somewhere between fair and medium with yellow undertones. I'm basically a WASP with some Filipina thrown in...I tan very well but I will burn if I'm out long enough, red hair looks great on me, and I gravitate towards silver colored jewelry. I figured that Nude would work for the Hourglass foundation. I once purchased Kat Von D's Lock It Foundation in L46 and it was way too pink, so I'm thinking that warm/pink undertones aren't for me. And I have Almay Clear Complexion in Ivory 100, and that seems too light on me. So...Does anyone have any experience with the actual undertones and shades that Clinique offers for Acne Solutions? Especially helpful if you have medium/light skin with yellow undertones. Sorry for the wordy response...first post here, and although I know things are returnable, it would be great to get it right on the first try. Thanks!
My makeup brushes are old and I think I would like to start investing in some new ones. What are your favorite, not to expensive brushes? Im interested in hearing about brand and specific brush versions/sizes.
So I just hit VIB ROUGE!!!!!! I was $9 away so how could I not place an order right? I have been shopping at Sephora for years and have never made it but this year I finally did. The little things that make my day better....its been a rough few weeks. Now to tackle the massive pile of laundry that is calling my name.
Hello, pretties.. I am thinking about adding a new platte to my collection during the 4x points week but don't know which one to get. Here are the ones I currently have: -Urban Decay Naked 2 -Urban Decay Electric palette -SEPHORA COLLECTION Artist Color Box Makeup Palette (picture below) As you can see, I have most of the neutrals and bright colors down. I don't know what colors/palette would be a great addition. I have been eyeing the Too Faced Chocolate Bar palette and the Kat Von D Chrysalis palette, but am a bit hesitant since the Chocolate bar seems to bring a lot of neutrals much like Naked 2 (which I already have). Suggestions?
Hey y'all, since a few were inquiring. It's available on the Urban Decay website again. EDIT: Need direct link for Vice LTD , PM me if need a link EDIT 2.0: Bad news, sooo it looks like it's unavailable now....
Hello Ladies, After reading abt HG Ambient Lighting Palette in beauty talk I am so tempted to buy it. But I am too lazy to use make up on a daily basis, hardly i use it like 12 times a year or may be less. And I recently got this estee lauder color portfolio 2014 as a gift I am wondering if I should buy the HG one, as I really like this but I dont know if it is worth it for a Medium Asian Skin tone(3Y09) Any suggestions?
So I just received my Black Friday orders... Did anyone else get the Tarte $10 deal with the mini blush, mascara and lip gloss? The product page description had listed the blush size as 0.15 oz. Looking at the Tarte box packaging, it also clearly states 4.5g /0.15 oz as the size of the blush. BUT. The actual product is only 1.5g / 0.05 oz!!! Did anyone else notice this? It's still a okay deal for $10, but I find this difference in size extremely misleading!! I can understand if Sephora did a typo on their product description page, but for Tarte themselves to label it as 4.5 g/ 1.5 oz of blush on the BOX, and then have the blush actually be 1.5 / 0.05 oz is really unacceptable! That's 1/3 of what's advertised?!
