I went to my local Sephora today and one of the girls told me that after the holidays all of the Lorac products will be on sale. They're not going to carry the line any longer I went home and checked online (with fingers crossed) to see if perhaps it would just be my local Sephora losing the line, unfortunately they barely have anything online! I'm so sad right now!! Why Sephora, why????
I just love how this collection looks…but it's so cool and shimmery. A shimmer creamy (white) powder, grey quad and 4 shimmer lipsticks including a grey. I am so, so tempted but am supposed to be cutting back. And D&G is so expensive. Has anyone seen these? Input? Help! And I can't find the creamy eye powder. http://www.sephora.com/shimmer-lip-P392708?skuId=1 667591 http://www.sephora.com/the-eyeshadow-smooth-eye-co lour-quad-P376900?skuId=1667534
Have you ever found a makeup product that you loved so much that your "look" changed as a result? Please share! A few examples: 1. UD's Naked Palette. Even though it's a neutral palette, this actually inspired me to be mor adventurous with my eye looks, because the shadow just behaved so beautifully. Before, I had just used cheap eyeshadow, and all I could really do was spread it across my lid until the color showed up. But with Naked, I could try transitioning and blending and all that "fancy" stuff. 2. Tarte's cheek stains. Kevyn Aucoin's books actually inspired me to get this because I loved how liquid blush looked on his models. While this isn't exactly liquid, I still love the look and feel of the cheek stains, and haven't bought a powder blush ever since I discovered them! 3. Josie Maran's Argan Illuminizer. I love the look of luminous skin, but highlighting or powder illuminizers add an extra step to my beauty routine. But this product just mixes right in with my bb cream or foundation, and the only extra time it takes is the time to pump the dispenser and then swirl it with the foundation on the back my hand (which only takes seconds!). So there are a few examples of mine. Can't wait to read yours!
So, I did the lipstick challenge with Greenchilli and all the ladies in that thread and I thought it might be fun to do the same thing with blush. I don't have enough blush to get through a month, but I figure I'll go until I have gone through all my blush. So the challenge is: wear a different blush every day until you run out of blushes or reach 30 days. Anyone want to join me? you guys know i love my NARS. and i am SUPER EXCITED about this release. as they put it: "a study in nudes for eyes, lips and cheeks--daring, baring, anything but neutral". it's all very chic. it's live on NARS website and their boutiques, but i have no information on when this will be released elsewhere. if anyone knows, please chime in ! (they've also launched a new foundation, thread on it can be found here: http://community.sephora.com/t5/Face/Nars-All-Day- Luminous-Weightless-Foundation/td-p/1858795 ) i'm particularly intrigued by the "reckless" blush. i know it'll be mine. but this looks made for very pale skin. i guess this should be called "a study in nudes for very white girls" which is a more than fair criticism and worthy of discussion. regardless, here are some releases for spring 2015: lips : a sheer lipstick, liguria (i'm kind of new to the sheer lipstick world and very much wonder how a "nude" lipstick can differ much. i suppose this one looks warmer / oranger than, say pago pago). it's described as a nude caramel. this one is LE. and two lipglosses which are a seashell pink and a sheer silvery highlight color. Guyane: and Vent Salé (LE) cheeks blush in reckless. (want. want want want). described as "sheer pink shimmer" i think this is the pinker answer to the apricot Luster. eyes there is a eye paint in porto venere (a pale pink), a single in valhalla (shimmer shadow in pinky peach) and a duo in st paul de vence (shimmery nectarines; this one is LE). here is queen tilda in the collection.

Hi beauties: We all have them; the people who we look up to for our beauty needs, who we savor as they walk the red carpet or catwalk. Who's the inspiration for you? Mine is Cara Delevingne-SO. GORGEOUS. If only I was a blonde *sigh*. So who's your beauty idol? How do you achieve their looks? -Katie <3
Has anyone tried any of their Kardashian Kollection Beauty products? I've seen their stuff in stores but never paid it any attention, but I just saw some pictures of the Ombre Cheek Color blushes and they were really pretty (and less than $10)!
Today one of my friends that works at SiJCP texted me to buy her Advil and bring it to her. Because it was an imposition, she offered to buy me one of the holiday sets that they just put on clearance today. She bought me the Sephora Favorites Makeup Must-Haves which was marked down to $20 from $40 (and she got it for 15 with her discount). It's an incredible deal for what you get. My SiJCP had quite a few of them. There was also another set marked down, but I don't remember what it was.
I typically am not into Mac, but something about this collection interested me. Perhaps it's the packaging. It's live now on Mac's site and will be in store on the 5th. I picked up a blush- Kindergarten Red. Anyone else get anything? * grabbed images from various places online.
Everyone is looking lovely today! Myself, I had a bit of disastrous morning of makeup. I usually only work from 11-4 M-F. But one of my coworkers is on a trip to FL (Lucky duck) and so I was covering her part of the schedule this morning which meant I had to be to work at 8:30. I misjudged how long it would take me to get ready and overslept by about ten minutes, so I didn't have as much time to put my face on as I usually do. I even did my eye shadow first, something i don't always remember to do. And put on all my primer and let it set before starting in with my makeup.(Something new that I am trying) And all was well until I went in for the last two steps, about the time that I was supposed to be leaving, I popped in to do my mascara and eyeliner. The eyeliner went on fine, and the mascara (which I would normally consider my HG) went on fine on my right eye, but somehow when I went to do my left eye a BIG GLOB of mascara got on my lashes!!!!! I attempted to wipe it off without smearing it and succeeded in smearing it ALL OVER my eyelid. It was AWFUL!!!!!!! So I quickly grabbed my makeup remover and washed off my left eye... I didn't have time to redo it,.. so I washed the eye makeup off my right eye as well. And then quickly and LIGHTLY applied some more mascara. But had to leave the house with no eye shadow and no eye liner. OH, THE HUMANITY!!! I felt naked all day.
in my country, sephoras stuff are doing a horrible work,as since we in the shop more than 3 girls hiding to us offering a various products,i always try to escape from them by telling thanks just please leave me alone in order to focus at my needs but no way!!!! so we decide to have what we need online, its take long time but what to do???...is it normal????
My make-up is in dire need of a comfy place to stay. I have been splurging a lot in the past few months that my make-up grew rapidly. This is the current state of my make-up. I keep the new ones in boxes still because I don't have any container/area to place them in. Any suggestions? Happy New Year Everyone! 😄
Hi everyone! Hope you all are well. Sorry I haven't been around at all for the past week. This week was crazy due to it being the first week of the semester. Hopefully I'm not super busy so I can be on often. So Tarte release their new Clay Paint liner. I've been seeing it all over IG and it looks interesting to use and amazing quality. I think this would be nice to have in my kit to replace my gel liner. Has anyone tried it? Please let me know your thoughts if you have. I appreciate it
I have EXTREMELY fair skin with a yellow undertone and I haven't found a good contouring palette I've enjoyed. I'm just wondering if this palette would be good for my skin type and if it's really all it's hyped up to be.
To all of you ladies who wanted Heat Wave, missed it and don't want to pay an arm and a leg for it, it will be rereleasing in Estee Lauder's Summer 2015 collection!!! I'll update this thread with the release date of the collection as soon as it is available. EDIT: Heat Wave will be releasing in March with new circular packaging and the amount of actual product has been reduced. I personally dislike that they reduced the size and changed the packaging. The old packaging is very luxurious and classic Estée Lauder. The new packaging, frankly, looks cheap
Happy Friday-Eve, everyone! My mom is in her early 60's and we're looking for a new foundation for her. Her skin is normal to slightly dry, not a lot of wrinkles (thanks, Nana!), and she prefers light to medium coverage. She does need it to be long-lasting, however, because she has no time for touch-ups at work. Any suggestions? TIA!
Hi all! Just wanted to know everyone's opinion. Do you think bright lips and no eyeliner is ok? What about purple eyeshadow with no eyeliner on brown eyes (But eyeshadow is blended well and looks good). Oh and I will always apply mascara no matter what.
Bad idea... Doing a bright red lip before putting on my white dress. I now have a big red stain on the collar and can't figure How to Make it dissapear! I tried my Make up remover and my Tide-to-go stick but it is still there. any idea?
I am looking for eyeliner, mascara, and concealer that is super waterproof. Like, it doesn't even rub off when you step in the shower and can only be taken off with waterproof makeup remover. Any suggestions for eyeliner, mascara, or concealer?
I am currently using bare minerals matte powder foundation in medium, along with tarte timeless smoothing primer and tarte bb tinted primer in light. I wanted to switch to the Tarte Amazonian clay full coverage powder foundation, but when I was color IQ'd at my local sephora the color she put on me was way too light. I went back yesterday and swatched almost all the colors but can't decide between the light to medium shades as to which one I should use. I am also concerned about the amount of sparkle I saw in the tarte powder because I like a matte finish. I have oily, ance prone skin. I am not sure what my color IQ number was, but also a suggestion on the best match for the tarte powder would be appreciated! OR - Does anyone have any suggestions of a different powder foundation? Thanks in advance!
I have red scaring from old acne on my cheeks that most of my foundations doesn't cover all that well. Is there any foundation primers out there that are for Oily skin that will help cover up the redness or something?
I have very dark under eye circles. Is there a product to help me brighten them, and are there any really good concealers to cover them up? I've used NARS radiant creamy concealer, and makeup forever's full cover concealer and they can't quite cover them up.
Hello. I noticed there is a new makeup store in my mall. Its a Kiko Cosmetics. I have never heard of the brand... anyone know anything about them? Anything wonderful there that I should check out? Thank you
I just got a YouTube account. Now that I have one, I can subscribe to different channels. I was wondering who you all would suggest for someone over 40 and makeup challenged. I love makeup but am very challenged with it.
