I have light skin with cool undertones, light brown hair & grey eyes. My standard eye shadow routine is pale yellow-gold for the highlight, bronze in the crease, and dark brown in the corner. I recently got a sample of stila's kitten and it's either too pink or too shimmery for me to use as a highlighter - it just makes me look old. Which of the naked pallets would best suit my coloring?
If you got a $50 Sephora gift card this very second, and what would you buy? Personally, I would maybe get the Nars blush in Mata Hari and anorther MJB nail polish? They've both been on my list for a while... http://www.sephora.com/blush-P2855?skuId=221382 http://www.sephora.com/enamored-hi-shine-nail-lacq uer-P380707?skuId=1511328
I noticed this brand on HauteLook today and have never heard of them before. So thinking they must be a high-end cosmetics brand, I checked out their website. Their blush and shadow cases look just like NARS, while their lipgloss tubes closely match Smashbox's Lip Enhancing or Limitless glosses. I tracked some reviews that raved about how well-pigmented the products are. LiSi's website has a 50% off entire site promo, which is enticing, but their prices were what concerned me a bit. At full price they are still below most drugstore prices for cosmetics. Take 50% off of that... well it almost makes it downright dangerous for me! Has anyone ever tried this line? If so, could you please share your thoughts and experiences with us? Thanks so much!! <3
I have two 10% off coupons for Saks that expire on the 19th. These coupons are good for the entire order, and can be applied to beauty, including brands like Chanel and Tom Ford that never go on sale. You can also use the code HOLIDAY to get free shipping. If you would like one, PM me and I'll send it to you!
Hi all, I'm looking for long wear lipsticks for olive toned skin. Specifically, reds. I'm drawn to deeper reds, so nothing fire engine-y. More purple-reds, berry reds, etc. I'm open to any shades that work well as I don't usually wear very pigmented lipstick. Any advice for a newbie?
So I have a gift card burning a hole in my wallet and I'm in the mood to use it. Got any suggestions on what to buy? I really don't want a gift set but would prefer 1 or 2 really good and special products. Other than that, I'm up for anything!
I'm assuming because I don't have smooth skin, and it's been rather dry lately. I've just amped up my skincare routine because it's getting worse. But I just feel like the blush doesn't sit right and looks... bumpy or something. Is this something a primer can help with? Or do I just need to hope the surface of my skin will change?
So I just spent the afternoon filming a dupe video for my channel and I wanted to get your opinion. I shot the video in natural lighting plus an overhead warm light and the other video with umbrella lights (both videos are of the same thing). The umbrella lighting is a little stark but the other lighting is a bit warm (and sometimes the warm light will hit my face in areas). Which lighting do you think looks better? Please let me know what you think Thanks guys!!!
New Years is approaching and I am trying to brain storm nail design ideas. I am still up in the air about what I am wearing so I wanted something that would easily match everything. I was thinking either a French manicure or a very natural pink with a gold stripe. Any other ideas out there? I was thinking this but with a natural pink Or just a simple French manicure
I'm here in search of inspiration!! What are all of you beautiful people doing for the holidays? I know many of you love to play and experiment with makeup, and I seem to be in a rut. I love winged liner and a red lip, sometimes with a smokey eye, I can't help it. Maybe I don't want to help it Anyways, are you--perhaps more creative--BTers planning on rocking? (Or what did you rock already if you already celebrated?) Here's the look I was talking about on me.
Thought it would be fun to know who are some of the best Sephora Makeup Artists and where to find them. My favorite Sephora Makeup Artist: Gina Sephora store location: Caesars Palace, Las Vegas, NV Why?: She did such a great job on my makeup for a formal Christmas party. It was glamorous yet age appropriate. Received so many compliments on how pretty I looked.
When I got my order in yesterday, there was only 1 sample... I was looking forward to my samples because I have been wanting to buy something new. I thought if they were out, the would send subs. Pretty mad.
I have a few products that I was planning on returning, but would be interested in a trade.I have the ocho loco 2 set. I used most of the colors just once. There were a few colors that I sharpened. I have 2 YSL lipsticks that I swatched and they weren't the right color. I also have about 12 UD eyeshadows and again they were used maybe 3 times at the most. I was just going to return them but If someone has something I may be interested in trading, then I would be fine doing that!
Am I the only one that doesn't get why other brands don't monopolize on making refillable pans for blush, eye shadow etc. like MAC?! I love my zpallete, don't get me wrong but I absolutely LOATHE depotting my stuff. I would much rather buy a just a shadow, knowing that I'm not paying for packaging that I'm going to throw out.
Hello there! I'm taking the leap and splurging on some Hakuhodo brushes for those who are familiar with them (Japanese brush manufacturer, very high quality and can be quite expensive!) If you're anywhere near well-versed in brushes, I'm looking at the S111 and the G5519BkSL, both blue squirrel brushes. I am choosing between a thicker blush brush and a thinner one. I am drawn to the thinner one because I'm looking for a lighter, softer application, but I'm also drawn to the luxury of a thicker, more densely-packed brush. (Of course, that one is more expensive.) As always, thank you so much in advance for your help and advice!!
I saw this going around on Youtube and I wanted to see what you ladies have to say and what you decide. I don't have all of these palettes, I stated the ones that i thought fit the category best. Some I do have though! Here are the questions! 1.) Best Packaging 2.) Best Color Payoff 3.) Most Versatile 4.) Best for Travel 5.) Biggest Regret 6.) Best Color Names 7.) Least Used 8.) Most Used, Most Loved, Desert Island 1.) Best Packaging I have to give this one to Marc Jacobs. Their packaging is the beautifulest I have seen! I do not own it… YET! lol but from what i have seen, it is so sleek and beautiful!!! 2.) Best Color Payoff UD Naked i believe has one of the best color payoff out of most palettes! 3.) Most Versatile I think the Disney's Ariel Palette is pretty versatile since it was a collection of colors and finishes! 4.) Best For Travel . I take the Naked Basics palette with me whenever I go on a trip. It is small, compact, and it has neutrals that go with everything and range from day to night. 5.) Biggest Regret My biggest regret was probably the UD… i don't even know the name of it. It is a small square palette and is purple on the outside and has a bunch of shimmery colors that i NEVER use! 6.) Best Color Names I have to give it to the upcoming Too faced Chocolate Bar ! it has such yummy names that make you just want to eat the palette!! lol 7.) Least Used That once again has to go to that UD palette. I have NEVER used it and I have had it for a while. 8.) Most Loved Has to go to my Lorac Pro Palette . It is my baby! I use it all the time and create any look with it! I am in love with this baby! <3 lol
Hey ladies, I have been wanting to try a new foundation and am having a really hard time deciding. I have oily/combo skin. It's really kind of unpredictable, but my T-zone can become quite an oily, shiny mess some days. I have been wanting to try the Hourglass Immaculate Liquid Powder Foundation for some time, but then I have been hearing really good things about the Tarte Amazonian Clay 12 hour. Read the reviews, but they are kind of neck to neck. So if any of you have tried either one, I would love to hear your opinion! Thanks
So after missing the Rihanna Holiday train (I really wanted Pleasure Bomb ) I was so excited about Naked 3 that I opted out of ordering online because I wanted to feel it in store. So on my lunch break I head to my local Sephora to buy it and get my birthday gift. I use my $20 off $50 and as I goto pay I notice two store credit cards from Sephora and try my luck with the values, glad I did. I only paid $8.50 for Naked 3. Makes up for the lipstick and is officially the cheapest birthday gift I ever got myself What did you ladies get with your $20 off $50?
Hi all, so I've been using makeup a long time, and I've always bought the less expensive items, NYX is probably the most luxurious makeup item I own but I want to change that and begin buying some higher end items to add to my already large collection. With that said what are the top five items I should look into picking up first? Thanks!
I have a couple of work holiday parties to go to and would love to try something new and dressed up while remaining professional. Does anyone have any ideas? I've done the pale eye with heavy winged liner and red lip a couple of times and want to switch it up (although I do love a red lip for the holidays!)
Hello all! I was just wondering what everyone's favorite part of their morning beauty routine is just for fun!! Whether it's playing around with all your different eyeshadow colors, putting on your blush for some rosy cheeks, swiping on your favorite lipstick, making your hair look flawless, or even that last spray of perfume. Personally, I just love picking out what lipstick/lipgloss combo I'm going to finish off my look with. I am a lipstick girl all the way!! What's your favorite??
