I wanted to know what is the best full coverage, long lasting, matte finish foundation? Also what do you guys recommend me to do to get that flawless look I don't know much about make up and what to apply.MAke
i have pores on my nose and every time i use my foundation (i tried a couple) it will sink in. i would try many primers (regular primers to ones that should minimize pores) i try using setting powder on top and then it looks EVEN WORSE. Any tips to help?
I am going into 8th grade and this year have decided I want to start wearing more makeup, I already have a lot of really nice eye makeup and blushes / highlights etc. but I want to start wearing a lighter coverage foundation and concealer. I don't really have acne but I do have sensitive skin.. Any suggestions?

Spoiler (Highlight to read) Guidelines: Trade items that are equal in value and brand quality or better. For example, Dior for Guerlain would be a good trade, as would Too Faced for Tarte. Do not trade Dior for Tarte. Do not take more than you put in. Please ensure your trade is adding value to the box. Trade full sized items for full sized items. Do not take all of one category from the box. For example, do not take all the palettes or masks. If you’re not sure if an item is appropriate, post the item and ask the group. Allowed in the box:  Mid to high end products (think brands sold at Sephora, The Bay, Nordstrom, etc). Tools/Brushes/Cases/Bags as long as they are clean Anything that is sealed (as long as it fits with the other guidelines) Skin care items in tubes & bottles. Jars only allowed if it's sealed or unopened. Keep non-beauty related items to a minimum (please do not overload the box with makeup bags, cases, etc). Packaging & Shipping All participants must provide a tracking number for their shipment, posted to the thread upon receipt. Package things carefully (bubble wrap or tissue paper if possible) and put things in labeled Ziploc bags. Try to leave the TSB in better condition than you found it Items that are more fragile (like perfume bottles) should be bubble wrapped individually Calculating Values: New items: full price Clearance items: full original price unless they are long-term residents of the clearance section (i.e. OCC lip tars in original packaging) Used 1x or swatched: 90% value (original price x 0.90) Lightly used: 80% value (original price x 0.80)  This applies when an item was used more than once but at least 90% of the product is remaining. Deluxe samples: calculate based off largest size available of said product. For example, if a deluxe sample is 0.5oz, and the full size is 2 oz and worth $60, then the deluxe sample is worth $15.    These must be new, untested, unswatched. Courtesies: Don't put in anything unsanitary! (any product that you “dunk” a wand into or you dip your fingers into (like lip gloss or mousse blush) if they’re not new and unused. These cannot be sanitized.  Same thing goes for rollerballs. Post a picture and write info of what you took and left, with their condition and value – this way members can weigh in on the trades before shipping Include close up, open photos of any items that will be sealed that you cannot see the color through. This includes lipsticks, palettes, blushes, etc. No reserving items in the box for others and don’t ask to have any items reserved for you - this is unfair to others participating Don't swatch items from the box even they are swatched or used!! Swatched/used items must be labeled as such. All opened items must be cleaned/sanitized prior to their addition to the box Sanitizing consists of spraying the item with a makeup sanitizer, or making your own with half parts 70% alcohol and water. Try not to put in LARGE full sized items, like large bottles over 8 oz. This box becomes very full, making it is harder for the person repacking and forces them to take something they may not want or use. Exceptions can be made if someone really wants the item Must post photos of all swaps and wait for approval from the thread before sending the box to the next recipient. The box coordinator and 50% of participants should give the OK for your trade. Give the group 24 hours to review your trades and provide feedback.  Please contribute mid to high-end beauty products only. No drugstore items or Sephora brand. If you have questions or you are unsure of an item, ask! ***If an item in the box has been damaged in transit, please contact me as to what to do with it. Hey Beauties- We have ALOT of threads around here for Tom Ford products. I figured I'd start one thread where we can update each other on items as they come out or we see them available.    For all my UK'ers, or people willing to pay for shipping from the UK, Harrods has Softcore and Nude Dip from the Fall collection available right now. Happy Shopping!

Thought I'd start a thread just for Viseart since so many of us LOVE them.   I love to encourage a small brand as opposed to a brand where you pay for the name. The eye shadow quality can't be beat! ************************************************** ******* WHERE TO BUY Sephora Muse Beauty Pro Beauty Bay Beautylish Alcone Frends Beauty ************************************************** ******* COMING SOON   New eye shadow palette Bijoux Royal Pre-order now on Muse Beauty Pro - On Sephora.COM Sept 9th. Each eyeshadow pan is 2 grams and valued at approx. $6 ($3.00 per gram).   MAC has reduced the price of their single eyeshadows refills from $10 USD to $6 USD each. So 12 colors at the new reduced price would be $72 USD (before pro discount). Add the $8 USD empty palette to store them and we're back to $80 USD.   EXCEPT: Each MAC eyeshadow pan is only 1.3 grams ($4.62 per gram). You're getting only 15.6 grams of product, as opposed to the 24 grams of eyeshadow in the Viseart palette. That's a loss of over 8 grams of product.   FINAL ANALYSIS: It would cost $119 USD for MAC to duplicate the Viseart palette (24 grams of MAC eyeshadow at $4.62 per gram and $8 for the palette). It seems high time for a separate thread for the Marc Jacobs Beauty collection (I checked, but didn't find one!). This thread will be the place to post sneak peeks and information about new products and special collections and also to generally discuss our interest in and experience with MJ beauty products. If you are an existing fan or have questions about a particular product or want to explore the brand for the first time, feel free to join the discussion. To start off, I recently purchased the LE Style Eye Con No. 20 Holiday Palette during the VIB sale, but I have yet to use it or even swatch the colors on myself. It is currently still in "sacred relic" mode in my mind, but I'm also intimidated as it is my first ever large palette purchase. I'm not an eyeshadow expert by any means, in knowledge nor in application. I would like to begin this discussion by inviting those of you who have this palette to post eye looks that you have created with it. I need some ideas!     And of course feel free to post about anything else related to MJ beauty should you be so inclined! I'm curious to know everyone's experience with the brand.... Which products do you absolutely love and would recommend to anyone and everyone, and which products just didn't do it for you?

I already have the Filmstar bronze & glow palette but looking into some of her other products.   Does anyone have any experiences they would like to share esp with her Light Wonder Foundation, her blush and the Airbrush Flawless Finish Powder? I'm interested in getting these three things but still on the fence about taking the plunge!    Please let me know, many BTers opinions have helped me out on products before Thanks in advance!

We don't have one!  Just discussing new MUFE products and I realized the information is on different threads. So here it is...a thread for new releases
Chanel-Tissé-Jazz-Tissé-Smoky-Les-4-Ombres.jpg
Hi BTers, do we have a thread for this? I'm on the Tom Ford Updates thread and I thought some of us might also want to share on Chanel. Eagerly awaiting the Chanel Mediterranee Summer 2015 and of course what's new for Les Beiges this summer. Share some pics, news, what are your 'must haves' for Chanel releases coming up? I'm really interested in this nail color and seriously debating about the bronzer. I'm trying to decide what road to go down for bronzer, the new Estee Lauder illuminating gelee, or the new Guerlain Terracotta powders, or this beauty... As far as the date, I've been talking to my Chanel SA and the collection seems to be coming out later than they thought. I think I saw somewhere it would be May. Share some Chanel here The cheek stick…and the neutral nails :-)

A place to discuss new, indie and not so talked about brands. There's a few brands I'd like to know more about but didn't want to start a thread for each so decided to start a thread for all those brands that we don't often hear about.

Since the brand is coming to Sephora (US ONLY) I thought I'd start a thread just for the brand for news and info.  Maybe if this launch goes well more products will be added and hopefully Canada will get it too!    NEW lip kits coming (possibly 4 colors/kits) - Called Lust 004 (Names: Vermillion Venom, Hedonism, Flesh, and Bloodwine) LAUNCH: August 30 2016 - Pat's site // Sign up to be notified.   Her site also says singles... so kit or kits + singles?   ~Updated July 26th 2016~

A place to post photos of whatever part of your makeup collection you want. All your black eyeliners. The nail polishes with the funniest names. Your summer vs. your winter foundations. All your perfume minis. Your most treasured items. Whatever.   (Shout out to our beloved  @Mochapj  for reminding me to do this. Also, we can "at" mention people now?!)   To start, here are all my mini Urban Decay lipsticks.
Hey guys!  I need concealer help.  I recently switched to Tarte's maracuja creaseless concealer and I have had some trouble.  I first tried it with a mini beauty blender and found it left a weird texture to the concealer so I hastily ordered a concealer brush, which I wound up loving!  Until I tried to set it this morning.  All of a sudden, it appeard cakey, creasing, and almost like the powder flaked off some of the concealer.  I think it might be my setting powder.  Any advice would be much appreciated!

NEWS, UPCOMING COLLECTIONS, DISCUSSIONS AND SWATCHES!   I was surprised there wasn't a dedicated thread for the brand especially since they have really upped their game recently. So since pretty much every brand has a thread I thought to start one for Tarte!   They have been slaying with the recent launches and truly on a roll with more amazing products to come!
Has anyone seen a full ingredient list for the upcoming MUFE Water Blend foundation?
I received a sample from Sephora and fell in love with this mascara.  Now I want to purchase it and cannot find it anywhere! Help!!!
I wear the Estee Lauder double wear foundation. I love it because it is so full coverage that I have a few acne scars on my jawline and I dont even need to wear a concealer and the fact that it lasts longer than any foundation I have tried. The only problem is that I have dry skin and the foundation always looks cakey and dry especially between my eyebrows and sides of my nose. I use a moisturizer and the one I have recently been using  for the past week is the Dior hydra life jelly sleeping mask (I was recommended by a Dior person to use this for a moisturizer instead of a mask since i'm so dry). I do use a primer and the ones i've tried so far are the regular smashbox photo finish, Dr Brandt pores no more, Urban Decay brightening and tightening. I feel like none of the primers really helped at keeping my face less dry and patchy. So what I can do to help my makeup look better?

IT Cosmetics is coming to Sephora!  So, (even though it's super early) I thought I'd start a thread for it.    What are you excited to see on Sephora's shelves?
I was thinking earlier about beauty products I couldn't live without... So, it got me thinking, what are YOUR 3 favorite/holy grail makeup products?
