We've all seen this on youtube, if you haven't.. go do so and have a laugh - maybe I'm always laughing and thinking to myself that it'd be fun to try this. Sometimes I say "there's no way they can mess up that bad, come on.." So I decided, why not make a thread about it? I want to see pictures, be it one or a ton, to show how good we can apply makeup without a mirror - it's hard! I used all products I use when I do the works, which is almost every day. A lot of people know my liquid liner skills.. I used it here.. but it didn't come out as great as I wanted! If you're interested in the lipstick shade, it's Shanghai Express by NARS. Sorry for the lighting, it's either this or suffer a heatstroke in my bathroom (it's hot in there).

I don't know if I'm just picky.. But I'm so picky when it comes to foundations matching me well.. Does anyone else have that problem? I have foundations and they look good in some lighting, but in other kinds of lighting they look weird. Is that normal? Like is it normal for foundation colors to look different in different lighting? I went to the mall today, and I looked in the Clinique mirror and it had some lighting around it and I looked so yellow! Lol I was like geez this lighting is so unflattering or my foundation isn't a good match. I'm just so picky when it comes to foundation because I don't want to look like a clown lol
Have you guys seen these?! There are tons of shades and finishes to choose from, and you can build your own palette! I can't wait to try these; I wonder if Sephora will carry all of the shades? There are so many and I'd really like to go in and test a good chunk of them. http://www.sephora.com/artist-shadow-P387670?skuId =1622745
I posted a previous post about starting a traveling box with samples and deluxe samples and a few ladies were interested in doing one! This is the 1st traveling box I am apart of and of course the 1st that I am starting. So, we need to decide if we are going to do a medium or small flat rate box. RULES No used items. No open items DO NOT take more than you put in. Let's keep this fun and fair DO NOT take multiples of the same sample PLEASE try not to keep the box more than 3 days Make sure to send your address to the person listed above you Once you send the box off, post the tracking number in this thread ALL unused items allowed (well maybe not nail polishes if it will make the shipping costs go up) Post a pic of what you take out, what you put in and what is left in the box before you send it off We are going to have fun and try to keep this going as long as we can! If you are interested in being in the box, I have a few spots left so post a pic of what samples you have in this thread to be added. To start off, we are only going to have 10 people! 1. CuriousCannibal 2. MegEm 3.MLLECC 4. tessie84 5. Kittichick 6. NicoleFrat 7. NightKnight 8. Sweetxteeth 9. Nishcakes 10. Kariyava
Hi dolls, I'm obsessed with the what are you wearing thread on BT , but I find it hard to post a full faced selfie all the time! I noticed a lot of people are lip product junkies like myself on here and thought it would be a good thread to start. I also think it might make people more comfortable with posting a picture of their lips instead of their whole face (I know I don't want to see mines up close and personal all the time). I think a brows of the day , eyes of the day , etc. would be great too for people who aren't as comfortable posting a selfie. You can always post a selfie in this thread though (: Here's whats one my lips today! 1. Bite Beauty Rhubarb lip pencil 2. TF Perfect Lips Lip Liner in perfect spice
Here's the first Sneak Peek for the September Ipsy Bag: I actually unsubscribed last month which is a little surprising because I was a fan of the products I received in August but with holiday sets/collections coming soon I've decided that I would rather put my money there. For all of those still subscribed enjoy!
I didn't start wearing makeup until I was in my 30's. The learning curve has been steep and there are still things I struggle with learning. How do I find makeup classes in my area? I don't want to go to a makeup counter, I want a true sit down and learn class. Everyone and their mama is a MUA these days how do I go about finding a TRUE MUA and taking a class? I really want to learn how do a winged liner (hooded eyes), apply eyelashes, contouring, highlighting and different shadow techniques. Can you all help me? I'm in the northeast close to DC/DelMarVa/Philly areas. TIA NAA
I'm planning my fall outfits and I decided that mostly I will wear this cool style. However what kind of makeup do you think I should do? I was thinking something simple like glowing skin and ponytail and maybe a red lip??? I'm just curious what you guys think... Thanks
Hi ladies! In about a week and a half, I will be going on a trip to New Zealand for two weeks. I'm super excited Obviously I cannot carry all my skincare and liquid foundation etc. in their original containers, so I'm wondering if anyone has suggestions for travel-size bottles and containers? The Sephora brand sets don't have such great reviews unfortunately
Okay ladies and gents I'm going to VEGAS 8/27 first time ever!!! I have a list of places I want to go...makeup wise. Inglot, sephora, CCO (is the CCO worth a special trip?). Any places (makeup) I should hit, ones I should avoid? I DO NOT (just not worth it for me) do VERY high end brands. Marc Jacobs is the most expensive brand I have. I have been saving my coins for a while and now it's time to just buy buy buy. I'm NW45/MUFE 178 so I usually only buy from companies that make products for the deeper tones. It's principle for me. Post your ideas (please please please), previous adventures, and best kept secrets! I'll post what I get when I return home and decompress. May the makeup Goddesses and Gods be forever in your favor. May your holy grail products never be discontinued or in short supply. May your favorite product drop on the floor and never break. May your makeup storage be all that you dream and cleaned and organized by sweet smelling fairies. Be makeup blessed! *can you tell I'm super excited*
Has anyone tried the new IT Brushes from Ulta yet? I took a look at them today out of curiosity. They are soooo soft. The only description my husband can come up with for how they feel is a puppy dog's ears. However it has been my experience that brushes that soft are only good for blending not applying. I'm actually quite happy with my Real Techniques but these brushes are very tempting. Anyone know if they are worth it?
Hello ladies, I intend to practice contour thing. =) Can anyone recommend the contour brush which is good for beginner? I am eyeing on Tarte and Urban Decay contour brush. But wonder which one is better? I have recently learned that Hakuhodo has an office in LA. LA is close, but not close enough for me to just go there because I want to (its 6 hours drive from the bay area) Has anyone been there? I've heard that they offer 20% discount too. if anyone is planning on going, may I ask for a favor of a couple brushes (I will pay full price plus shipping)
I love a guy who knows his skincare and makeup, and you guys certainly know your stuff! I'm really curious to know - what got you so interested? Were you encouraged by anyone or did you discover it all yourselves? Do people notice when you wear makeup? Do you get hassled about it? Do you get positive comments? I think it's great that you are here. I'd love to know how you got here, if you don't mind my asking. Girls are marketed to from practically infancy about beauty products - guys not so much! So, how did it all start for you guys?
Finally a member of the red-card club! Love the new MUFE artist shadow palettes; the colors look so good together. And thanks to Lisa at the Lenox Mall (Atlanta) store for being so sweet and helping me with a false-eyelash lesson.
I have several foundations but I really haven't found one that really clicks with me, except for the new Laura Mercier flawless foundation, I still haven't finished my sample but when I do I'm going to buy the actual size. Thing is, that one has a matte finish on me, which I like but I want something glowy. I was thinking of buying YSL Touche Eclat but I dont know if that one is a good fit for me since I do get oilly around the nose and it's more noticeable with the Texas heat. To get to the point of this title, would you recommend nars sheer glow? It looks like it'd have a satin finish but it still gives you the type of radiance that I'm trying to find... thoughts, suggestions, anything is welcome, thanks! Oh, just to mention what foundations i have: Big Easy Tarte 12 hr clay foundation LM flawless sample elf flawless foundation MUFE velvet mat Illamasqua skin base I don't like powder foundations, I had bought a TF powder foundation.. just not my thing. :\
I have been haunting the HK section, hoping a few leftovers may turn up (Other than the two that are always there). Look what I found! Already signed up to be notified. Looking forward to seeing this collection, and I hope they have a launch party for Rouge!
I don't know if any of you ladies know about this but Sonia Kashuk just came out with a LE 15 piece brush set in celebration of their 15th anniversary. I just picked up the last one in my town today during my lunch break. I personally think this is a steal. It is $40 at Target. If you can find it, I suggest to get it right there and then because this set is sold out almost everywhere and each Target in the US and Canada each get 2 sets. Go on to Target's website and use the "find in a Target store" and click on "pick up in store" if it shows up to reserve it. Sonia Kashuk is trying to keep it in stock but it keeps selling out. This set will be available until October according to their customer service line. If anyone wants to know how they perform, let me know and I will do a small review here on BT.
I was on IG earlier & this picture seems to be going around. Anyone picking it up? Is said to be released in October, at 58$ . I'm not sure if I'll pick it up. Maybe if the 3 blushes aren't ones I own... Or there's a LE one. We'll see 😬
Hi dolls, Another palette from ABH?! I'M IN LOVE. The beautiful mayamia (on youtube and instagram) collaborated with them AGAIN to create this gorgeous palette. I'm so excited <3 P.S The Contour book will also be avail in January for anyone interested.
