Last year, I bought some Mally stuff at Ulta. I'm not in love with any of it, nor do I really dislike any of it. It's just ok IMO. However, did anyone else watch her the other night on QVC or HSN? She was so obnoxious and it was quite a turn-off. Every other phrase out of her mouth was "cray cray"! I actually turned the channel. What do you guys think of her line of cosmetics?
I haven't seen anything on the Sephora website, but I've seen a few of these in some stores, so I just want everyone to see. I picked one up because I love the color red! Plus side, it feels exactly the same as the pink one! I haven't tried it yet but I will tomorrow *here's hoping it applies the same*
IMATS LA 2015 is next month! I will be flying out there for about a week with some ladies from BT. So I want to know... who's going? What vendors are you excited to see? Any products in particular you'll be hunting down?
So, I did the lipstick challenge with Greenchilli and all the ladies in that thread and I thought it might be fun to do the same thing with blush. I don't have enough blush to get through a month, but I figure I'll go until I have gone through all my blush. So the challenge is: wear a different blush every day until you run out of blushes or reach 30 days. Anyone want to join me? Bad idea... Doing a bright red lip before putting on my white dress. I now have a big red stain on the collar and can't figure How to Make it dissapear! I tried my Make up remover and my Tide-to-go stick but it is still there. any idea?
To all of you ladies who wanted Heat Wave, missed it and don't want to pay an arm and a leg for it, it will be rereleasing in Estee Lauder's Summer 2015 collection!!! I'll update this thread with the release date of the collection as soon as it is available. EDIT: Heat Wave will be releasing in March with new circular packaging and the amount of actual product has been reduced. I personally dislike that they reduced the size and changed the packaging. The old packaging is very luxurious and classic Estée Lauder. The new packaging, frankly, looks cheap
First things first, I have nothing against MAC and I do use their products (Powder & Concealer) However, whenever I go into a MAC store the employees have a "I KNOW EVERYTHING ABOUT MAKEUP, YOU'RE A MINION WANNA BE AND YOU KNOW NOTHING" kinda vibe. Is it just me? ha ha I know it can't only be me! Please let me know what your In store MAC experiences have been like.

I have an apt at a counter tomorrow and am looking to pick up a few new things. I'm a Chanel girl at heart and wanted new recommendations. What are some of your must haves from the brand? * Nordstrom is having an event tomorrow. Spend $120( I believe) and receive a bag full of chanel goodies! Ladies call your Nordstrom counter
I purchased NARS illuminating powder foundation. As I apply the foundation to my skin it starts visibly separating on my skin in within 30 minutes or so- makes my face to have visible powder marks/cracks all over. I use very good moisturizer abd do not understand why this happens. What can I do and what is your recommendation?
i really hope this isn't the case, but when i go to the ellis faas brand page, it is still there, but there are no products. is this just a temporary thing??? i need to restock my lippies: there is no red like ellis red!!!
you guys know i love my NARS. and i am SUPER EXCITED about this release. as they put it: "a study in nudes for eyes, lips and cheeks--daring, baring, anything but neutral". it's all very chic. it's live on NARS website and their boutiques, but i have no information on when this will be released elsewhere. if anyone knows, please chime in ! (they've also launched a new foundation, thread on it can be found here: http://community.sephora.com/t5/Face/Nars-All-Day- Luminous-Weightless-Foundation/td-p/1858795 ) i'm particularly intrigued by the "reckless" blush. i know it'll be mine. but this looks made for very pale skin. i guess this should be called "a study in nudes for very white girls" which is a more than fair criticism and worthy of discussion. regardless, here are some releases for spring 2015: lips : a sheer lipstick, liguria (i'm kind of new to the sheer lipstick world and very much wonder how a "nude" lipstick can differ much. i suppose this one looks warmer / oranger than, say pago pago). it's described as a nude caramel. this one is LE. and two lipglosses which are a seashell pink and a sheer silvery highlight color. Guyane: and Vent Salé (LE) cheeks blush in reckless. (want. want want want). described as "sheer pink shimmer" i think this is the pinker answer to the apricot Luster. eyes there is a eye paint in porto venere (a pale pink), a single in valhalla (shimmer shadow in pinky peach) and a duo in st paul de vence (shimmery nectarines; this one is LE). here is queen tilda in the collection.
I, like most of you, are a beauty addict. I make at least one purchase at Sephora each week. It's kinda ridiculous, sometimes. In my browsing for a new foundation (currently wearing Dior Nude in 060, but it's looking more red on me lately), I found that I matched to a new Giorgio Armani foundation! Never before seen at Sephora or on Sephora.com. I am excited about this. Could this mean Tom Ford is to come in the future? I can finally try Armani's Eyes to Kill Mascara that MakeupByTiffanyD loves so much and work towards VIB Rouge again. Any one else excited about new high ends brands coming to Sephora?
New year So lets see what everyone is loving right now! 1. Best Packaging? 2. Best Color Payoff? 3. Most Versatile 4. Best For Travelling? 5. Biggest Regret? 6. Best Color Names? 7. Least Used 8. Most Used 9. Most Loved 10. Desert Island? 1. Best Packaging? I have to give this to the Laura Mercier holiday palette from this year! I am a sucker for zebra print, plus its sturdy with a large mirror so great for throwing in my makeup bag. 2. Best Color Payoff? My loran pro 2! I've had it for maybe 4 months and I have hit pan on 5 colors! Love it. The color payoff is amazing! 3. Most Versatile? In terms of selection, the lorac mega pro! There's so many things you can do with it. 4. Best For Traveling? Stilla in the light. It's small and has amazing shades. or naked basics one and two. I usually have both on me if I bring them. 5. Biggest Regret? Naked one. Not because I don't like it, it was my first eye palette, but because I don't reach for warm tone shadows very often so its not used often, that is all I regret. 6. Best Color Names? Naked 2. Something about the names I just love 7. Least Used? Naked one 8. Most Used? Naked 2! pretty sure I only have like 4 shades left in it.. 9. Most Loved? Naked 3! It was a valentines day gift from my husband. I love the shades and of course it means a lot to me because it's from him 10. Desert Island? Stilla in the light! I've been using it like crazy lately. I don't think I will ever be able to part with it!
I know I've mentioned a couple times that I am going to be in Las Vegas next month for a few days. I have one day pretty much to myself - my husband flies home in the morning and I don't have any obligations until a work dinner that evening. I've set that day aside as my shopping day. I know that I want to hit up the MUFE Boutique in Sephora at the Venetian and probably also the Inglot and NARS stores at Caesar's Palace, but I am looking for suggestions of anywhere else on the strip that I should stop into that day. I have a few questions -- 1. For anyone that lives in or has visited Vegas, where should I do my beauty shopping? Any unique or interesting stores that I should know about? 2. Since I have a work dinner that evening, I was thinking about getting a makeover. I could get a free makeover at Sephora, but I was thinking about getting a makeover at the MUFE boutique instead. Anyone had a makeover at a MUFE boutique? From my research, it looks like you have to buy $120 in product for a full face makeover (this may be outdated info, I need to confirm). I know I am definitely buying at least two 3-pan eyeshadow palettes, so it certainly wouldn't be hard for me to get to $120. Worth it? Any opinions? Thanks!
For those of you who don't frequent the 'Found in the Wild New' thread, the lovely hackneyfl posted that Armani Beauty is available online ( http://www.sephora.com/giorgio-armani?node=1050000 ). None of the items are in stock yet, but I though that it warranted a separate post because OMG I'M SO EXITED!!!!!!
I've been using more face powders lately (finishing powders, mattifying powders, light coverage powders, etc.), and I'm starting to realize that my Sonia Kashuk face brush may not be the best choice for my skin. As soft as it feels on my hand, it seems to be irritating my face regardless of what face powder I use. My skin feels itchy afterwards and gets red -- ugh. I've been looking at face brush reviews, but there just seems to be so many to choose from. Do I really have to buy a NARS Kabuki brush at $55 to get what I need, or are there other soft options?
I am between a 110 Ivoire and a 140 Ivoire in Lancôme Teint Idole Ultra 24H foundation. What shade would I be in Clinique Even Better Foundation? They look extremely light I just don't wanna end up having a geisha face! Thanks
Pretty much every face product I use oxidizes on me. Powders, brozers, blushes, concealers, etc all oxidize on me. Is there a way to prevent or stop products from oxidizing on my skin? Or do I need to buy new products to avoid this problem?
I don't know how many of you have the original Unzipped palette but Lorac is coming out with the Unzipped Gold palette. It is part of their spring collection along with a lipstick and cheek palette set and it will be permanent. As for the launch date, its Spring 2015 TBA. The Unzipped Gold palette is $42 and the cheek and lip set is $30. The lipstick in the set is Girl Next Door and is part of the permanent range already. Here's the difference compared to the original: The cheek palette Girl Next Door lipstick photo credits: Temptalia Are you going to pick these up? I'm planning on it!
I have stayed away from Tom Ford because I figured once I tried it I would be hooked - which I am!! I have a pretty large makeup collection and I know I can't handle a "no buy" so instead with the new year I want to invest in high quality pieces, not just whatever new makeup comes out. Tom Ford has a rather large collection and items I am already bummed about missing out on (really want the Burnished Amber quad). So my Tom Ford questions are : 1) What Are Your Top Five MUST Have Tom Ford Products? 2) What Quads Are The Best? 3) Which Brushes Are Worth The Money? 4) What Are Your Top Five Tom Ford Lip Products? 5) Any Other Tom Ford Advice, Pictures Of Your Tom Ford Collection And/Or Swatches?!
Hello beautiful ladies and handsome gents! I hope everybody's 2015 will be a wonderful one...sprinkled with gorgeous shades of Marsala. I was very fortunate to be gifted by Sephora part of the new collection with Pantone and have just received it and had to share. I'd love to hear your suggestions of colours that are similar, dupable and/or compliment the new colour of the year. And swatches...please . I'd love to see this palette on every complexion, whether they are your swatches or from Google... Thank you Sephora for these wonderful gifts (and brightening an otherwise dreary existence.) Thanks everybody for sharing. Take care..
As a college student who's both on a budget, and looking to begin her collection, I need as much help as I can get! Does anyone know if there are any student discounts here on Sephora? And if not, are there any good 'basic collection' products that I could get my hands on to try that won't completely deplete my bank account?
Why is it that the best products get discontinued? I hate Laura Gellar's "replacement" for her amazing Medium Tinted Moisturizer SPF 20. There must be something that works as amazing as the so very missed tinted moisturizer.
