I wear the Estee Lauder double wear foundation. I love it because it is so full coverage that I have a few acne scars on my jawline and I dont even need to wear a concealer and the fact that it lasts longer than any foundation I have tried. The only problem is that I have dry skin and the foundation always looks cakey and dry especially between my eyebrows and sides of my nose. I use a moisturizer and the one I have recently been using for the past week is the Dior hydra life jelly sleeping mask (I was recommended by a Dior person to use this for a moisturizer instead of a mask since i'm so dry). I do use a primer and the ones i've tried so far are the regular smashbox photo finish, Dr Brandt pores no more, Urban Decay brightening and tightening. I feel like none of the primers really helped at keeping my face less dry and patchy. So what I can do to help my makeup look better?
A lot of the other big beauty brands have their own threads now, so I thought, why not NARS? Let's share news about new collections, feedback on products, etc here. This is huge: Rebel Eyes are now trending at Sephora. It’s a multi-dimensional look in four different finishes that layers textures, shades, and effects—and we want you to make it your own.
For each of the next four weeks, we’ll be featuring a new effect from the Rebel Eyes trend for you to try out:
Week 1: Smudging deep shadows and dark, blendable liners to create a new kind of smoldering look
Week 2: Layering false lashes and using simple mascara techniques to create Intense Lashes
Week 3: Popping on glitter for an unexpected, shimmering effect
Week 4: Playing with metallic eyeshadows for a multi-dimensional finish
Use your imagination and post as many of your Rebel Eyes looks as you want to this thread, tell us how you got the look—and you could be featured on one of our social channels!
Just be sure to share your looks between July 21 at 12:00 a.m. PDT and August 17 at 11:59 p.m. PDT for the chance to be featured.

It seems high time for a separate thread for the Marc Jacobs Beauty collection (I checked, but didn't find one!). This thread will be the place to post sneak peeks and information about new products and special collections and also to generally discuss our interest in and experience with MJ beauty products. If you are an existing fan or have questions about a particular product or want to explore the brand for the first time, feel free to join the discussion. To start off, I recently purchased the LE Style Eye Con No. 20 Holiday Palette during the VIB sale, but I have yet to use it or even swatch the colors on myself. It is currently still in "sacred relic" mode in my mind, but I'm also intimidated as it is my first ever large palette purchase. I'm not an eyeshadow expert by any means, in knowledge nor in application. I would like to begin this discussion by inviting those of you who have this palette to post eye looks that you have created with it. I need some ideas! And of course feel free to post about anything else related to MJ beauty should you be so inclined! I'm curious to know everyone's experience with the brand.... Which products do you absolutely love and would recommend to anyone and everyone, and which products just didn't do it for you?

Thought I'd start a thread just for Viseart since so many of us LOVE them. I love to encourage a small brand as opposed to a brand where you pay for the name. The eye shadow quality can't be beat! ************************************************** ******* WHERE TO BUY Sephora Muse Beauty Pro Beauty Bay Beautylish Alcone Frends Beauty ************************************************** ******* COMING SOON New eye shadow palette Bijoux Brilliant on Aug. 15th Muse Beauty Pro - On Sephora.COM Sept 9th. Spoiler (Highlight to read) Blush Palettes 3 Blush Palettes 1 Highlight and Sculpting Available for pre-order now at Muse Beauty Pro / Ships August 8th Spoiler (Highlight to read) Price breakdown for those interested Spoiler (Highlight to read) Saw this on Facebook a while back and thought I'd add it here. A 12 color Viseart Eyeshadow Palette is $80 USD (before pro discount). Each eyeshadow pan is 2 grams and valued at approx. $6 ($3.00 per gram). MAC has reduced the price of their single eyeshadows refills from $10 USD to $6 USD each. So 12 colors at the new reduced price would be $72 USD (before pro discount). Add the $8 USD empty palette to store them and we're back to $80 USD. EXCEPT: Each MAC eyeshadow pan is only 1.3 grams ($4.62 per gram). You're getting only 15.6 grams of product, as opposed to the 24 grams of eyeshadow in the Viseart palette. That's a loss of over 8 grams of product. FINAL ANALYSIS: It would cost $119 USD for MAC to duplicate the Viseart palette (24 grams of MAC eyeshadow at $4.62 per gram and $8 for the palette). I already have the Filmstar bronze & glow palette but looking into some of her other products. Does anyone have any experiences they would like to share esp with her Light Wonder Foundation, her blush and the Airbrush Flawless Finish Powder? I'm interested in getting these three things but still on the fence about taking the plunge! Please let me know, many BTers opinions have helped me out on products before Thanks in advance!
Hi Beauty Talkers! We have exciting news to share. The On-the-Glow family has a new member, it’s our On-the-Glow Bronzer & Illuminator. Say hello to our new Wanderberry packaging and we’ve got two new shades to share. Malibu is inspired by California beauties and their sun-kissed skin, it’s ideal for fair to light skin tones. Capri is inspired by Southern Italian beauties and their bronzed goddess look, it’s ideal for medium to deep skin tones. Use the matte bronzer to sculpt and define and the Candle Glow Illuminator to add dimension. Just a few ways here: Some added benefits… Vitamins A, C & E – conditions and smoothes skin, provides antioxidant protection HD Effects Pigments – illuminates skin with an undetectable glow/finish Lemon Extract – gently removes dead skin cells and lightens facial discolorations Hyaluronic Acid – retains moisture Collagen – Provides firmness and elasticity to the skin Co-Founder Lindsay Ellingson: I love to apply our Malibu bronzer to the apples of my cheeks and across my nose, the areas on my face the sun would naturally hit. In seconds I'm transported to my favorite beach in Malibu! I also apply our Candle Glow illuminator down the center of my legs to elongate them and add a gorgeous glow! Co-Founder Divya Gugnani: I’ve got medium/tan skin and I use Capri on either side of my nose for a slimming effect. I’m convinced one side of my nose is wider than the other and this really does the trick of making my nose look even! Also, I do a quick swipe just below my cheekbones on either side for a more contoured look. I love the Candle Glow illuminator because its golden tone instantly illuminates my already golden complexion. When we were testing the formula the first name that came to us was...Candle Glow...because the luminous sheen reminds us of the romantic hue from candle light. Have any of you tried it yet? What are your favorite matte bronzer and highlighter tips & tricks? Sound off below! Check it out here! http://www.sephora.com/on-the-glow-bronzer-illumin ator-P408440?keyword=WANDER%20BEAUTY%20On-The-Glow ...
Mine is the marc jacobs undercover coconut primer, bare minerals mineral foundation and tinted moisturizer, tata harper cream blush, becca champagne pop, benefit hoola bronzer, abh dipbrow and clear brow gel, shiseido eyelash curler, covergirl supersizer and full lash bloom waterproof mascaras, bite beauty lipsticks
I have seen lots of new threads pop up devoted to specific brands and thought I would get some other opinions and ideas about the best of becca. I just in the last year have really fallen in love with this brand. We newest favs are backlight priming filter and blush in flowerchild. I feel like shimmering skin perfector is a must have for every makeup lover. I love using the backlight targeted colour corrector on my dark under eye circles. I have though about trying foundation anyone have any suggestions?what are your favorites?
Hello! So the past few days I've seen that the Anastasia Beverly Hills' Veronica liquid lipstick color has been made available to buy online. However, this color only seems available for a short period of time before becoming unavailable again. I asked Sephora to notify me by email for when the color is in stock, but it hasn't even though the color appears online. So this makes me wonder is it because of an internet fault which is why the veronica color is appearing and then becoming out of stock a while later or is it actually now available for purchase? Thanks! Maria X
A place to post photos of whatever part of your makeup collection you want. All your black eyeliners. The nail polishes with the funniest names. Your summer vs. your winter foundations. All your perfume minis. Your most treasured items. Whatever. (Shout out to our beloved @Mochapj for reminding me to do this. Also, we can "at" mention people now?!) To start, here are all my mini Urban Decay lipsticks.
