I ordered a Naked3 palette a little while ago and got such a kick out of the reviews. So many of them are "can't wait to get it" or "I just ordered!" People are voting "no" for the "Was this review helpful" question. http://www.sephora.com/naked3-P384099
Hey guys, so I've had this palette for about a month and a half now. I've used it several times but have noticed this is the kind of palette you use more either on a date or on a girls' night out. I'm a makeup beginner so this is my first palette and even though I love the colors, it's not for an everyday look. Should I return it and just get one of the naked palettes instead and which one should I try? My complexion is a neutral tanned brown not too warm/cool toned, black hair and dark brown eyes (think Hale Berry) and my veins lean more towards the green side.
Has anyone been waiting for Wayne Goss (gossmakeupartist) brushes? He previewed them briefly on youtube and now beautylish has close-up photos available. It says they'll be arriving in September but doesn't give an exact date. The brushes look gorgeous but they're pretty pricey. I guess considering they're hand-made by artisans in Japan they're quite a steal, but I was hoping to get the entire set and now I'm not sure.
I hope Im not the only one… I received a delivery confirmation that my Sephora package was delivered to my front door at 7:31PM. My husband was home all night. The UPS guy usually knocks on the door… I left for my dance class around 7:30 ish and actually followed the UPS truck starting a house or two down from mine. I never saw him stop the truck when I was backing down my driveway. I get home from dance around 9:00 and see the delivery confirmation email so I rush to my doorstep… no box! We live up a ways from the street and no one ever walks near our porch. I check with my neighbors - it wasn't misdelivered to them I call UPS they say to call Sephora. I call Sephora and they have to wait 24 hours before reporting a claim. The Rouge Customer Service lady was great, but I was so so so so sad (ok I cried a little), because some of my items are no longer available so if this box is lost, then I can't get them. My husband and I think that the UPS guy just scanned the label to show delivered and then kept driving (because our driveway is dark, its freezing cold and it was past 7:30). I am really upset because I know that no one would have taken it off of our porch. I REALLY think it wasn't delivered. I hope it wasn't delivered to the UPS guy's wife. or to a sneaky neighbor (look at how my imagination is running wild!) When it comes to my Sephora orders, I'm pretty protective What are your thoughts? I want this-
I'm trying to stick to 45-50 per pay...and over 26 pays per year I should still qualify for rouge every year, although I've been going over budget a lot. How does everyone else budget or find extra funds to support their addiction?lol
Holidays are around the corner.. And I am sure all of us are getting all pretty and made up!! What is your go to/statement holiday makeup look? Mine - it depends!! But most of the time - a lot of mascara neutral smokey eye and red lip OR colorful (but appropriate) eye shadow and nutral/pink lip.
This collection is launching Dec. 26th. I need to get my hands on those purple lipsticks!!! For those of you who missed Hautecore on Black Friday it should be in this collection. credits to makeupstash dot com. The post also said there might also be 3 pigments and 3 nail polishes. All Races, Idol eyes, Magic Moor, Carbon Jet Boy, No Apologies, Dark Outsider
Just thought I'd let y'all know this promotion is currently going on on the Laura Mercier site! My top 3 picks would be Amethyst (a cult favorite for a reason!), Sand Glow (taupe perfection), and Rose Gold
I read on a post that the Guerlain Meteorites were being revamped. What is the difference between them and the Hourglass Ambient lighting powders. I have not tried either but just order the ambient lighting powder in difussed tonight.
I thought this might be of interest to some of you- Baublebar is having a promotion where you pick your own set with one stila item + a statement necklace + a bracelet or pair of earrings for $50. I like baublebar a lot and shop from them all the time. Last year, the had a similar holiday promo with essie. Check it out if you're interested! baublebar dot com.
OMG! I am so flustered. I was in that stupid waiting room and then around 20 minutes in I accidentally closed it! Talk about luck x_x. I re-opened a tab and at 9:33am(pst) was let in. All of the lipsticks (with the exception of riri woo) and the new eyeliners were SOLD OUT! I hope I am not working the morning of the 12th . Was anyone able to get what they wanted?
I won the Benefit 2 truths and a lie contest so I will get to chose $250 in products. I'm new to the brand but entered because I loved the birthday gift this year but now I'm wondering what to get. I'm thinking of getting the Advent Calendar full of minis and trying Gimmie Brow. Any suggestions for me? Best concealer, best highlighter, maybe the Hoola big size for contouring? Any brushes you love? Please help me out! *edit* Final prezzie haul arrived! Thank you for all your wonderful suggestions
I'm 15 and I have blue green eyes, lighter skin, but not exactly pale, and a rounder face. I don't usually wear a lot of makeup... However I was wondering what kind of makeup would look good on me. Thanks
All images courtesy of Musings of a Muse Still a little ways away, for this collection, but I'm drooling over it. That shadow palette looks gorg, same with the blushes, and so many pretty shades of the La Creme lipsticks! (didn't post pictures with all the shades)
I own almost no Chanel cosmetics. The one thing I have is the Soleil Tan de Chanel. I just found out that Barneys NYC has Chanel cosmetics and the basic fragrances (not the exclusifs). Barneys is also having their Love Yourself Beauty event this week, so I'm trying to plan my attack and Chanel is speaking to me. Any suggestions as to what to get?
With the VIB card promo I am hoping to purchase a new foundation and I just can't seem to choose one. I LOVE MUFE Face and Body but don't feel like it has enough coverage. I understand that it is buildable but I am just hoping that there is something similar with more coverage. I do not like their HD foundation. My skin is dry during the winter months and I just don't think that formula works well with my skin. My second choice is NARS Sheer Glow. I like this foundation as well but it's still not HG for me. So if anyone has any suggestions they would be gladly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
I just recently started using liquid foundation again and I never realized how dirty your brushes can get and how quick it builds up! So my question is, what's the best brush cleaner? I'm looking for a weekly cleaner/cleanser, not a daily one.
Hi Beauties! I love seeing before and after pics, makeup makes such a big difference and for me my favorite dramatic product is mascara. I have very light lashes and its my favorite step of makeup application. Today I chose Armani Eyes to Kill I would love to see yours! Post your before and after pictures of your eyes - any mascara. Note: I do not have a fancy camera, so I just used my phone, I will try to zoom in more next time...
The holidays are coming up and so travel time is near. What products do you bring with you on trips? What are you must haves for travel? How do you pack them? I usually put my foundation and primer in small sample pots to bring because it's easier that way. I also usually bring my Kat Von D Saint palette as it's small enough to fit in an cosmetic bag I have but very versatile. I also love to carry deluxe samples of products like the Tarte setting powder and Bad Gal Lash to save room.
All I have been hearing about lately is the Hourglass Ambient Lighting powders! They all look so lovely but without seeing them in person I'm not sure what color would be best! I'd like to use it as an all over finishing powder, and I have seen online that Dim Light is great for that. I am super duper fair (like the lightest foundation shade in any brand) and was wondering if there were any other pale ladies out there who have a suggestion? <3
I was going to give the Too Faced set to a coworker who loves makeup, but when I opened the lip injection and rolled it up I noticed something... interesting. Has anyone else noticed this? You'll know what I mean if you've seen it.
Who here loves geek inspired beauty products? From the Sephora Princess line to the independent companies who make collections inspired by everything from Star Trek to Zelda, do you love to buy makeup that reflects your geeky loves? I know I do!
I am looking for a foundation once I use the one that I have up. I have little dry patches wear I have acne and such, I am looking for a foundation that doesn't accentuate it. Also it would be great if this foundation works for combination/oily skin that is acne prone and won't make my skin break out.
