What are your favorite "add-on" items to qualify for free shipping?

[ Edited ]

What are your favorite Sephora items that you add to qualify for free shipping? For simplicity's sake, we'll say items that are $12 or less.

Update: I've compiled almost all of the suggestions so far (10/17/14) - at least all of the specifics with links and organized by price. I'll try and keep up as people add more stuff. :smileyhappy: Thanks to everyone who's contributed their favorites!

Bumping this thread because it is awesome and such a good idea!

  • Josie Maran Bear Naked Wipes ($12)
  • Josie Maran Bear Naked Nail Wipes ($9)
  • SEPHORA Collection Blotting Papers ($8) - LOVE these for my oily skin!
  • SEPHORA Collection Colorful Nail Buffers - 3 pack ($8)

I, also, usually browse through the "sale" section. I have found nice long-wear eyeliners for $5 or nail filers for $3, etc.

I've routinely added pencil sharperners ($2-$8) back in the day since I was too lazy (or rather inept) at cleaning in between the blade that it was just easier to periodically replace them. Besides, I prefer to not to mix products so each type of pencil would have it's own tool (i.e. larger creamier chubby sticks vs slim kohls etcs).  I do appreciate reading alll the other options that others have posted too. Thanks!

Great thread, great ideas! I always seem to pick items that are $48-$49, so I don't order.I didn't even realize that there were items online for just a few dollars!

I love this thread! I used to always just go with a nail polish but now that I'm so limited with only being allowed to wear neutral colors to work, I've been struggling to find something cheap as an add-on.

Any nail polish. I also like to get hair tyes and search the sales page. Right now, cotton rounds are $1. That is a good deal.

Soap & Glory's Hand Food lotion. I am hooked on this stuff! Very light, non-greasy formula and it smells exactly like the Miss Dior perfume (to me, anyway). The smaller size is 6 bucks and perfect to keep in your purse.

I love that lotion. They just increased the price too ;(

Yeah, it used to be $5, right? The price of the larger size really went up, too. :smileysad:

The Sephora 4 block (pink & black) nail buffer is $5. I use these to file my nails and buy a few a year

I love the L'Occitane milk soap, it smells so good and cleanses very well (I'm becoming more and more anti-shower gel as of late), it sells for $12.

Mine are:

$5 - Sephora Collection Super Nourishing Lip Balm

$7 - Sephora Collection Hand Wash (I like vanilla)

$7 - Tokyomilk Dark Femme Fatale Lip Elixirs (Haven't tried them yet, but curious!)

You can also go to the sale section and sort by price (low to high).  There are usually a few very inexpensive items there.

Lovee the Tokyomilk Lip Elixirs. Very smoothing, like chapstick, but smells yummy and tastes good too.

Up til now, my #1 were the black, brown and clear hair elastics (the plasticy kind) - I am hoping they will come back in stock. about $3.

Other favs:

- Body wash caps, of course (also being disc.??) - $1

- Travel accessories (not just make up and skincare), packable pop up travel brush ($7), airplane friendly clear make up bags $5

- Make Up remover wipes - all kinds, Mustela in particular too

- Single use face mask packets, like Sephora brand ones, Dr. Jart Waterfuse, etc.  Also the Sephora single use Eye Mask.

- Check the sale section by price for things like false eyelashes for $3, sets on sale (like Sephora all about eyes or whatever it's called), and disc. items

- Shiseido cotton

I also search to see if anything I am buying comes as a part of a set -- sometimes for $2-10 more I can get my item as part of a set, which increases my order total just enough and it's an extra bonus.

- At Ulta I like to add empty spray bottles for toner $2, Bun-Ease (inside of a sock bun basically, but lighter and fluffier) $6.

- At other places I add lip balm, esp matte balm (sometimes called 'For Men') which is harder to find - not sure if there are any at Sephora right now, looks like not.

I love the suggestion to just sort my loves list by lowest price, and I didn't know about the pull down menu "travel" link!

Oh yes Shisedo Cotton! I kept adding those when I was placing orders for promo codes. I'd struggle to get to $25 or $35, so I kept adding the cotton.

I'm so well stocked now, I'm not even pulling them apart anymore. I'm using a full pad 2x a day now :smileysurprised:

If we're talking $12 and under, I go for travel-sized items. Drybar's dry shampoo, Bumble & Bumble styling products, Michael Kors leg shine, all great choices.
