As for TF coming to Sephora, I have mixed feelings. My" friend" works for the company corporately. Sephora is a hard store to service. You have to comply with Sephora style, in selling, educating and merchandising. 

Right now Tom Ford is still growing globally, so this will impact clients outside of the states more than the US.  Sales will be amazing, but yes the exclusivity factor will go way down.

So this means there will be more sales globally because Sephora is carrying the line? I have to go find it, but about a year ago I read an interview where TF himself said he would never put his beauty lone at Sephora...so times a changing!

Curious if anyone has bought or sampled the 2016 versions of Golden Peach or Naked Bronze cream/powder eye shadows. I'm wondering if the consistency is the same as the 2015 release or if it is the more emollient 2016 version.

This is for my Canadian girls. I am wondering if you have been able to get any of the new Soleil Summer collection yet? If so, whom and where did you order it from? You can PM me if you want. I live in Alberta and I don't have a counter near me so it would have to be shipped to me. Thanks in advance.

Virgo87, i also am in Alberta so I feel you pain on not having a counter. I have a SA the Holt Renfrew in Vancouver whom I usually email as soon as I hear anything about limited collections and she usually sends me a price list of all the items, and then call her with my credit card info. The Cancouver Holt Renfrew has the full line and usually gets everything in terms of new releases. Ive already pre-ordered through her earlier this month. The downside is Holt doesnt ship free within Canada. They can ship free to a local store if you have one...but that only works if you live in either Edmonton or Calgary and can pick it up from the store. I can pass on the information of my SA, if you'd like. She usually gets back to me either same dau or the next day if she is working and isnt on holidays.

Most of us here placed our pre-orders through Nordstrom Vancouver, as it is free shipping. If you want  the Soleil collection lipstick, Calgary Nordies will get those and I have another SA there too.

Nordies will get it around 2nd week of april per my SA's.

If you're on the list, (as dioradict said) you should be fine, but you could always try your luck with Sephora next Friday 😉

Thanks Virgo, I got on the list way early as soon as I saw the previews and if you are on the list then you will for sure get it. If you spoke to someone from the Tom Ford counter, you can get their phone number so it helps for LE items.

I pre ordered through the TF counter at Nordstrom Vancouver. Nordstrom ships for free. 

I dont think the new collection is available in Canada yet.

I ordered the Gold Dust bronzer from Holt Renfrew last week - I believe they have the bronzers and some of the lipsticks up on the website, so you can check there!

Did anyone not receive their full order from tom ford direct? I only got one item and was charged for 4...i think it's the last time I order from them direct. .

I've had problems with ordering from Tom Ford direct before. They did the same thing to me and I had one item backordered but yet they didn't want to let me know about it. Customer service is also not the best.

So I called CS and they said they shipped another two items using a different tracking...which I did not receive. I only receive one tracking email and it said all four items were supposed to come

And OF COURSE, one item is backordered. Yet still no explanation of why they charged by credit card for the full amount. Or why I even bothered making an account online when it doesn't show any tracking info at all.

I'm thinking of just returning all the items and waiting for the Sephora sale.

It probably is "backordered"...If you email/call you they will tell you that. I replied, how can it be backordered when I "pre-ordered", and they didn't reply 😄

I might be the only one that thinks this and it is likely to be unpopular but I think it actually dilutes the TF brand a bit to sell the color line at Sephora and have it at stores.

Maybe the brand is losing its luster for me now that I consider LE items as a marketing ploy and way of testing items to add to the regular line. If items aren't great they hang around forever (eye duos from last spring) and if they are they get added to the regular line (nude dip, negligee and pink sand cream blush). the marketing is brilliant but I still think that LE items that sell well will be brought back eventually.

I've been thinking about this exact point for a few days now, and how to word my thoughts to your post since last night :P.

I think that you have valid concerns about steps that Tom Ford has taken in recent months to "dilute" the brand, so to speak. I have been frustrated when things are touted as LE, to buy a backup, and then subsequently find out it isn't LE after all. There is a certain excitement to having scored a coveted pretty that not everyone has. That being said, they do maintain some level of exclusivity in that realm as TF seems to regularly discontinue items that are highly regarded, like Cognac Sable (or Enchanted or Violet Dusk).

To the other point. Thinking about how large a full Tom Ford counter is, how many products there actually are (how the full counters are even scrambling for space to display it all), I don't foresee Sephora being able to carry the whole line. I am curious as to what they will actually carry. Initially, I was a bit confused by the major excitement about Tom Ford being readily available at Sephora, but I'm lucky and have access to a full and awesome counter about 5 minutes down the road from my office.

For Canadians, at least, it offers an opportunity to be able to try items and return them, as I hear that their department stores are more stringent with that sort of thing. Clearly, that's true for people in the States too. Tom Ford is also at a fairly high price point that I don't see every Tom, **bleep**, & Harry with access to a Sephora able to douse themselves in Tom Ford :x

I still think that the whole Tom Ford experience is what you make of it. People can have the option to purchase it from Sephora, though they'll likely have more limited access to the line and the *aren't* going to get the personalized attention or expertise of someone who works for Tom Ford (they actually get trained by Tom Ford product specialists, but with all of the other brands they have to know about, it's not the same). People can have the option to go to a counter where they have a specialized, dedicated SA where they have 100% full on one-on-one attention at any given point and time. Where SAs will give you customized advice and SAMPLES (and GWPs). Or, you could take it a step further and go to the Tom Ford boutique, where you might lose the GWP, but you get to shop surrounded by Tom Ford's world.

Have you been to a Dolce & Gabbana counter out of curiosity? I wouldn't necessarily liken it to Tom Ford, as its presence in Ulta greatly dilutes the brand, for me, but seeing the counter in Saks a few weeks ago definitely upped my perception of the brand as a whole!
