The Highlight Challenge

[ Edited ]

Not to generalize, but I think it's fair to say a lot of us on BeautyTalk have a slight obsession when it comes to highlighter. For me, my highlight is the finishing touch before running out the door. Some days I aim for a natural look and other days I want to look like a glistening unicorn and I know I'm not alone. Many of us have a lot of love for each of our highlighters so it's time to show them off!

Now, onto the challenge: From March 13th- April 14th let's give our highlighters some love each day by sharing details in this thread. I encourage you to get creative and be experimental with your product and technique. There are many highlight formats (liquid, powder, balms, etc.) and you can play around with the intensity of your highlight as well. Share as much or as little as you'd like, including pictures, swatches, products, tools and your favorite tips.

Can't wait to see your lustrous highlight looks!

Today, I used the middle shade, Sale, from NARS Banc de Sable palette (with Cargo The Big Easy Blush and Physicians Formula Butter Bronzer).

@Seymore3 Love it!

Love! @Seymore3

Re: The Highlight Challenge

I mixed a few of Algenist luminizing drops in Champagne in my tinted moisturizer for overall glow. For highlighter I used Illamasqua Gleam in Aura topped with The Balm Marylouminizer.

Beautiful!  I love your lipstick, too!  💗  @fatimamummy

Re: The Highlight Challenge

This morning I decided to really glow for it (sorry, had to)! I'm wearing Amethyst from KVD's Alchemist Palette. I know this is old news to most but I cannot begin to describe how much I love this palette. Just a hint adds such a unique, holographic spunk to my look, I love this for my cheekbones and especially on my inner eyes. I also put it on my collarbones... KVD should probably just come out with an Alchemist body lotion so I can wear it allover on a daily basis.

@KatieBT you look so stunning. I love the look!

Re: The Highlight Challenge

@Tamara76 @fatimamummy thank you! I would wear Alchemist lotion on a daily basis, this needs to happen!

@playingdressup thank you! It's Tartiest Lip Paint but it's in a mini tube with no name... It looks like the shade Festival but it's hard to tell.

Re: The Highlight Challenge

I like your body lotion idea! That look is very pretty @KatieBT What is the lip color you're wearing?

Re: The Highlight Challenge

Ohhhhhh!  Yes to the alchemist body lotion!

I love that palette, too and it looks so pretty on you!   💜   @KatieBT

Re: The Highlight Challenge

It looks lovely on you @KatieBT You look very pretty and glowy. Alchemist palette is sold out on Canadian site and my store for ages. I keep hearing how great it is but haven't got a chance to swatch it so far.

Yay to the idea of Alchemist body lotion 😃

Mid Highlight Pic Smiley Happy

What I'm using: Ciate London Dewy Stix in Glow

How I like to use it:

1. Use the stick directly on the cheekbone

2. Blend around the edges with ring finger in a patting motion for a dewy highlight

I love to apply this on my eyelids and in the center of my lips to add a bit of a glossy finish! It doesn't feel heavy or sticky.

I have a question for you- do you like a dewy highlight? What style do you prefer?

Re: The Highlight Challenge

@DinaPRO  This looks super fresh and natural - beautiful!

I like all kinds of highlight - subtle, dewy, moderate and totally popping - depends on my mood.  😊
