Thought I'd start a thread just for Viseart since so many of us LOVE them.

I love to encourage a small brand as opposed to a brand where you pay for the name. The eye shadow quality can't be beat!

Saw this on Facebook a while back and thought I'd add it here.

A 12 color Viseart Eyeshadow Palette is $80 USD (before pro discount). Each eyeshadow pan is 2 grams and valued at approx. $6 ($3.00 per gram).

MAC has reduced the price of their single eyeshadows refills from $10 USD to $6 USD each. So 12 colors at the new reduced price would be $72 USD (before pro discount). Add the $8 USD empty palette to store them and we're back to $80 USD.

EXCEPT: Each MAC eyeshadow pan is only 1.3 grams ($4.62 per gram). You're getting only 15.6 grams of product, as opposed to the 24 grams of eyeshadow in the Viseart palette. That's a loss of over 8 grams of product.

FINAL ANALYSIS:
It would cost $119 USD for MAC to duplicate the Viseart palette (24 grams of MAC eyeshadow at $4.62 per gram and $8 for the palette).

@mrsbaine Assuming it is the same size as their other palettes (likely)

for scale, this would make them smaller than surratt pans, which are already tiny.

@Mochapj & @blackkitty2014, I'll let you know when I get it. LMAO! For as much as I didn't 'want' to like these, I love the colors in the Orange/Violet palette and I ordered it.

$80! Imo it is pricey but not egregious assuming the quality is there. I really hope Sephora gets these!

I imagine they will eventually, but for the time being Muse has it listed as an exclusive.

Based on past releases, it could be up to 3 months on that.  

LOL, if it is $80 in US, that means it will probably be $100 if it makes it to Sephora Canada.

As long as they have them by the f&f or vib sales..😉 I am in no rush to acquire more blush palettes but i like the top left one in the picture you posted below.

Yes, even though given the current exchange rates CAD 100ish probably makes sense, it sounds really steep.. Speaking of currencies and higher prices, I wonder if/when prices will be adjusted in the UK 😅

@veronika23 I thought so too, but the one in the bottom right has me second guessing.  It's too shimmery to be contour and looks awfully big to be eyeshadow.

At first because of their geotagging, I thought they were saying they have a store in CDG airport and I was sad that I missed it, LOL.

@Mochapj wouldn't it be one side highlight the other contour? Only the left side of the bottom right palette looks shimmery.

@veronika23 oh, maybe.  I thought the most bottom righthand shade of the bottom right palette seemed much too dark for contour, but maybe it's just the glare off the cover.

I know dark skinned ladies need contour colors too, but it just looks very dark.

Ugh, I want the orange one (of course).  I also like the purple shades in plum/bronze but have zero use for 3 bronzers 😞

Same X 100. Maybe swatches will be more enlightening. I like a brown/nude blush, but I don't need 3 browns. No need for the highlight and contour one though.
